After finding my hotel laundry facilities to be substandard, I ventured out and found Launderland II. Property looks like it’s straight out of the 1960’s or 70’s era. Going the first time is a little confusing as several of the washers and dryers are reserved for the staff and personalized laundry care. The staff was very attentive and friendly however. If I remember correctly, for self-service, it’s about $ 2-$ 3 bucks a load to wash, and at least $ 3 bucks a load to dry. I kept adding quarters to the dryers, but you only get like 3 minutes drying time per quarter. This, along with the tight parking were the main drawbacks. Works in a pinch, however. I can’t stand putting dirty, stinky clothes in my suitcase when returning home, so I gotta be clean.

I come here to get tablecloths laundered for work.(No clothes) It only takes a few days, and it’s much easier than someone taking them home to wash at home. The staff is nice, and since I’m here at least once a month, they know me and where my items are as soon as I walk in.

If you only care about being able to wash your clothes in a relatively clean and safe place, Launderland II is for you. Pros: Launderland II Coin Operated Laundry is open 6a-8p 7 days a week. Quarters and laundry supplies can be purchased from the attendant on duty. Parking on the side of the bldg and in the rear. Drop off laundry service. Relatively clean. Soda/juice machine on premises. Bus stop across street. Heavy duty, oversized washers($ 4.75 per load) and dryers available. Cost: $ 2.00 to wash, dryers vary in price from $ 0.25 for 3 – 4 minutes depending on the dryer you select. Drycleaner located next door. Cons: Quite a few washers and dryers out of order. All washers/dryers located in the front reserved for use by attendant on duty. No ceiling fans, gets quite hot by mid day. Layout of washers and dryers is maze like.

Love the lady at the front counter. She is so helpful and patient :) You can either do your own laundry — $ 4.75 per load for the big machines and about the same to dry or you can drop off your laundry and they will do it for you! One or two day service for a little over $ 1/pound. They sell product but you can also bring your own. Next door there is a dry cleaners which is fairly priced. Parking is HARD here. You may want to back in, if you can! I have met a great many people while doing laundry who are more than willing to talk story :)

In late February, I brought a few items to Launderland II to be dry cleaned, including a dress with a six inch broken hem that dangled on the side. I told the lady at the counter that I acknowledged that the hem was loose and that it was ok to dry clean. A few days later, I picked up my items and was on my way. Fast forward to today– seven months later. Because the hem was loose and because I haven’t had time to fix it, I haven’t worn the dress since it was dry cleaned in February. I decided to try it on to see if it still fit. When I put the dress on, I looked around for the dangly hem … but it was nowhere to be found. After inspecting the lining, I discovered that one of the awesome folks at Launderland had taken the time to sew the hem for me … at no cost. The receipt was still attached to the hanger, so I looked over it to see if that had charged me. Nope. Wow! Launderland II went the extra mile in customer service. Totally made my day! Thank you, Launderland II!!!

Dirty, the layout is like a maze, half the machines are out of order, staff is rude… But then again, it is an coin-op laundry :)

This is more for anyone that doesn’t have a washer or dryer in their building. I’ve only used the self service laundromat. Here’s the quick breakdown. pros –they have a parking lot, therefore you can drive there and easily walk right in with those heavy bags of laundry –washers were $ 1.25 per load when I visited –employees can provide change if you don’t have quarters cons –it can get crowded on weekends –this place has seen a lot of use and some of the washers show the wear and tear –last time I visited, around 6 – 8 dryers were out of order and finding an available one was difficult
