I’m surprised to see some of the bad reviews. My husband and I have been to the store(men) a few times. Each time it was a great experience. The staffs are helpful and nice. The t-shirts are on the pricey side but you’re getting what you paid for because the quality is good.

Working as a tour guide I brought a Japanese families to Ala Moana on a quiet Sunday lunch time visit. My customers enjoyed the walk through Ala Moana and they wanted to buy some of the unique shirts at Le Lotus Blue store. As I walked in the young male employee said he is closing and will be back later(closing at around 12 noon)! He said it in a rude tone that I convince my visitors to shop somewhere else. Not sure how Mr. & Mrs. Siedenburg select their employees but customer service was not an attribute they wanted.

I love their clothes. But I hate how they are so pricey. And I don’t like their service. I went in one time, I was the only customer in there. And I saw only one employee. I find her so irritating. As I was browsing through the clothes, I felt so uncomfortable with her standing within 5 feet away from me and literally following me around. I don’t have a big bag. I wasn’t planning to steal, never even thought about it. Plus, I was only holding a pouch that my phone can’t even fit. Can you stop staring so hard and just sit behind the counter?! The store now is actually bigger than the previous place by godiva side. At least give me 15ft of space. Gosh. Anyways, I left after 5 minutes of trying to ignore her while browsing. I wish they have a website so I can order online instead.

This store isn’t really popular on the island, I agree with the review on the way bottom(Cristy). When I go to Ala Moana with my boyfriend, we always pass by it and every time we look inside there’s literally NOONE in the store LOL. Its a super dark souled store, I always thought to myself why I even worked there in the first place. That’s another thing: If you’re looking for a job, I suggest you DONOT work at this store! Pay is $ 9/hr, but you’re getting paid for doing NOTHINGATALL. They’re super strict on schedules(they made me work while I was sick… and in pain); I hated working there because I would stand for 8 hours refolding the same clothes over and over again and help NO customers at all because this store is unpopular! Super bejeweled shirts and pants, the only cool things are the Ed Hardy stuff! I also hated how they made me wear a shirt from the store along with jeans, most uncomfortable work uniform EVER! It was kind of embarrassing telling all my friends where I worked because they’d be like«woah is it that super bejeweled, emo, rockish store?» Don’t go in there if you want your wallet to be empty! Barely any locals shop there, this store is strictly for tourists! Managers suck! It’s a waste of space, could’ve been a much cuter, affordable boutique.

The policy has been changed and modified over the years due to many bad customer experiences. Granted you are not one of these bad customers, they simply cannot afford the risk no longer. The policy is explained before and during purchase to avoid conflict when bringing an item back. All employees at this store(the mens) and the women’s store(by Godiva) are very friendly and very helpful for it is literally their job to ensure that they find you something you might like or need. The only reviews I’ve read about this store are bad experience and it neglects the fact that they have stayed in business this long simply because there is a very big positive customer following who come back frequently. These clothes are not for everyone but that goes with anything. Also everything is great quality so you are paying for what you get(not just a brand.) Although as for this other review — I do believe they should have made an exception granted they brought the tag with them. But to say that it is a horrible store because you couldn’t return an item is dramatic.

Not surprised no one has even reviewed this store yet as this type of apparel isn’t very popular in Hawaii. The Waikiki Ed Hardy store is closed down and has a Unilocal rating on this site of under 3 stars. I always try to find the good in every shopping experience I have but this store has no positives for me to speak of. I am completely disappointed with this store. The manager here is mean and nasty. Let me explain why. I went here to shop for a gift for my boyfriend’s birthday. He likes the Ed Hardy style of clothing and even though I don’t I figured why not give him something he would like for his birthday. I think the clothes are ugly and way overpriced, but I want him to be happy! So I went in this store and was assisted by one of the workers, Mike, who was really nice and helped me out a lot. I wasn’t sure of my boyfriend’s shirt size, Mike suggested Medium so I bought one. I spent $ 100 on one t-shirt and then $ 31 on some cologne that was on sale. Pricey huh? When my boyfriend opened his gift he ripped the tag off without thinking and then tried it on. I told him… «Uh, I think we were not meant to rip off the tag if we want to return it…» and when he realized the Medium was far too tight he took off the shirt and we decided to try return it anyways. It’s not like he wore the shirt all night. Why would he wear something that is too tight for him? I had purchased the shirt on Tuesday, his birthday was Thursday, and we returned to the store on Friday. Relieved to see Mike working again I explained what happened to him and asked if we could exchange the shirt for a large. He refused to let us as the tag was not attached, even though I still had the tag. I pleaded with him but he told us that his manager would not allow it and would not change his decision. We asked if we could see the manager and talk to him in person. He told us there was no point to talk to the manager because he would give us the same answer — no tag attached means no exchange. We left the store feeling disappointed. But I decided to call the manager right away to see if he would allow it. The manager was extremely rude on the phone to me telling me it was my fault for not following the store policy and that there was no way I was going to get a larger size. I had spent $ 100 on a shirt that could not even be used and had not even been worn and the manager was not making any exception at all. Why could they not retag the shirt? This was after all an innocent mistake and Mike had known I was clueless about the size. I told the manager that I would NEVER shop at his store again and tell everyone I know of my bad experience and write this blunt review as well if he did not let us exchange it. He still refused. Who seriously sacrifices potential profits and loss of goodwill like that? Someone with very bad business sense I feel like! So we ended up being unable to exchange this highly expensive t-shirt all because the stupid tag wasn’t attached to it. Good on them for sticking with their policy but it has come with a cost. I will never EVER shop at this store again and I have been telling every one I know about this experience and will continue to do so to ensure that no one I know shops here as well.
