Okay, I understand about waiting for your turn in his office. I give you that. I have been a patient of his for a number of years. I am not the most patient of patients and I hate to wait; as most people say, «time is money». Well, not actually in my case anymore, but who likes to wait, right? Yup, I’ve done my time waiting for my turn in that office but when you weigh what is important to you, the quality of the doctor of getting in and out of an office with a doctor that is not so good… well, I’d choose waiting. Dr. Liu, to me, is a caring, thorough neurologist. He not only asks about what«pains» you, he wants to know«why» it does, He doesn’t rush you in and out like other doctors, he asks pertinent questions so he can zero in on what is going on and help you fix your problem. Also, he remembers what he said from visits before… I find that sort of amazing considering his office is always full. Well, if you want a neurologist who really gives a hoot about his patients, I really recommend Dr. Liu. Be prepared to wait a while past your appointment though… it’s always been that way and it ain’t gonna change any time soon. Look at it like… it’s just because he cares about his patients.

For new patients, the next appointment is looking at March 2011. Dr. Liu is great, not so personable, but funny in his own way. He knows what he is talking about and I guess for doctors, that is really all you need. The wait time in his office for an appointment can get up to 30 minutes, but I have waited longer when they have squeezed«more emergent» patients in. I’d say the biggest downers is the seating space in the waiting area. Since he shares office with another neurologist, the seats are limited and many times, patients are waiting in wheelchairs blocking some empty seats. Frequently patients, including elderly, will wait outside until it is their time to go in.
