I L-O-V-E this store sooooo very much! There were bagels, English muffins, pies & donuts all my favorite i don’t even know how to describe and how much i love coming to the bakery. There is always a good find and a surprise when I walk into the store. There was also a stamp card for regulars who goes there frequently I remember mine is still in my wallet and I really really love the place especially cream cheese and bagels… like milk and cereal… they just match so impeccably…

I’ve never had anything but their pies so it’s 5 stars for the pies. I love these pies, when I was in Oahu and Hilo, the first thing I ate when I got off the plane was an apple pie, I must have eaten at least one a day… cherry and apple are my favorites… too bad they don’t have lemon anymore. Their other baked goods look good too but I’m too busy eating the pies! sooooo ono!

I love this place for cheap bread. I don’t get the normal white or whole wheat, the breads i get is the blue berry and raisins. When there is either of them, i buy at least 2 loaves. I just came from there last week and purchased 3 loaves total. What i Do is freeze them and take them out as i need them. They freeze really well. Some other things they have is hot dog buns and hamburger buns. They also have a not bad selection of Bagels. I pick up the cinnamon and raisins and eat them for breakfast in the morning. Great place to shop if you know your having a BBQ on the week end. stop by here during your lunch break on Friday and pick some stuff up. They have deliveries almost every day so not sure how why people are saying its old and ready to expire. Other then that. I’ll be shopping here a lot for my bread needs. =)

This store is the best. They got the deals on your favorite breads, rolls, and snacks including twinkies, hohos, dingdongs, and more. They may be a little smashed or they are nearing their expiration dates but the savings is worth it. And they also have fresh bread too if that’s what you desire. The staff is always friendly and the selection is eclectic but sometimes surprisingly useful. If you are nearby it doesn’t hurt to take five minutes to take a gander here. I picked up a bag full of omiyagi for some friends in Seattle and spent less than ten bucks. dope.

After reading Frank Y’s review, I’m a little embarassed to say Yay! I’m a fan… hahaha! Nah… well, I’m not a little old lady but when I used to work in town I would allllways come here, esp for the bread… because yes, it’s cheap and the loaves are smaller which is perfect because I don’t need much. But most everything Frank Y said is true… esp the part about even though it’s not all that great of a bakery thrift store, I can always find something to bring home to eat when my funds are low… and I appreciate that… teardrop =)

This Love’s Bakery thrift store is like an old folks home where senescent cupcakes, twinkies and donuts go to rest, where they end up either purchased by the eloi from HPU or ravaged by the morlocks who roam the street asking you for a dollah dollah bill yo. (This is what happens when you mix an English major with a Unilocaler… Booyaakashaka!) I’ve seen these types of bakery thrift stores before on the mainland, and this one isn’t quite the same. Some of the products look like they should be thrown away instead of sold at discount prices and the selection isn’t that great. However, the workers at the store are really nice ladies and this store provides food for those who cannot afford shopping at nearby Safeway, so it gets three stars.(I saw a lot of little old ladies buying bread… heartwarming.) For not a great selection but keeping some people from starving, this bakery discount store gets 3 stars!
