Mana is a no frills gym, but if you want the best training on the island for powerlifting, bodybuilding, or just getting in shape, this is the place to go. For $ 50/month($ 40 if you and a partner sign up), you’re practically getting personal training. There are different coaches and different groups who train here, but they’re all solid. And like I said, this isn’t some kind of 5-star fancy gym with spas and towel service, but all the equipment you need to strength train can be found here: dumbbells, barbells, kettlebells, machines, etc. I don’t have kids or dogs, yet, but I love the open environment here and the fact that people are free to bring their kids or dogs. If you’re interested in checking the gym out, email is not the best way of getting a hold of someone. Instead, stop by the gym. Everyone here is very friendly and helpful. Or feel free to PM me. That’s how I started coming to Mana. I was interested in powerlifting, found this place on Unilocal, and PMed someone who wrote a positive review.

If your looking for a Gym with the right coaches and a family atmosphere, Mana Barbell is it. I’ve tried multiple gyms for years both civilian and military locations. I do have experience in weight training to include Olympic lifting and endurance training. However, gaining knowledge, coaching and motivation from Coach Jon and Coach Donna really brings you to a whole new level of vision for your goals and your gains. I’ve enjoyed my experience so much, my family is now a part of Mana Barbell, literally. My wife, who has never had any experience in weight lifting or any workouts for that matter, is learning the right way straight out of the gate. She’s enjoying every moment she gets to spend in the gym with myself and staying fit. My 2 year old daughter enjoys talking with the other gym family members. She knows where to be without violating any safety hazards for herself and others around. Don’t judge a book by its cover. The equipment may not be the fanciest and new high tech gear for that matter, but you’ll get what you need done and then some. They have equipment and gear for everything from strength training, Olympic lifting, crossfit, and sports related activities. Did I forget to mention the coaching staff? Without the right coaches, you won’t reach your goals quicker and without injuries. And the motivation you get from these people is awesome! Overall, my experience with other gyms and training grounds cannot compare to the life experience you will gain with the Mana Barbell family. I cannot express my gratitude for the hospitality and mentoring they have provided for myself and my family.

If you are looking to get serious about your powerlifting, strongman, bodybuilding, or even general fitness, look no further. If you’re looking for a gym where people spend more time in the hot-tub(although having a hot-tub there would be nice) than under a bar, you might want to skip this place over. It doesn’t have the«luxuries» of a health club like towels or a sauna, but instead is filled of luxuries for lifters like a monolift or strongman equipment. It’s affordable, has parking, and the people who work there are amazing. All of them work with you to help you reach your goal, whether it’s squatting 600 lbs(which most of the employees can do) or learning how to use kettle-bells. It’s a really special place, and even if you’re not sure how you feel, go check it out. The people who work there are always down to chat it up.
