This is the closest McD to my house so I go there even though the parking sucks. But they have a steady stream of customers so the fries are always fresh! My daughter and I have been known to get fries for dessert after a meal elsewhere so we’ll cruise through the drive thru around 7pm. It’s not busy then but still the fries are fresh!

Went today to grab food. They had us wait on the side only to forget the French fries. I had to go back into the restaurant wait in line to ask for it. Manager or supervisor standing right there with no apology. If they can’t get one combo and a side McNuggets right then why should they get $ 15 an hour?! There should be a way for us not to have to stand in line when they get the order wrong.

Who doesn’t like McDonald’s right? I can reminisce all the way back to childhood days when going to the golden arches was a big deal. In fact the very first McDonald’s in Hawaii was in the East Honolulu neighborhood of Aina Haina. There is still a McDonald’s there but the original structure has been replaced. The golden arches have changed through the years but one thing you can expect is that familiar taste at a value.

Very disturbing at this McDonalds this morning., I almost witnessed a worker getting hit by a vehicle because he was pulling weeds along the sidewalk on Beretania street during heavy traffic. Why would they allow its workers to pull weeds on city and county property anyways?

I ordered 2 cheeseburgers with extra pickles. On the plus side, they remembered the extra pickles. Problem, no meat. Seriously, you made 2 cheeseburgers without meat? The convenience of the drive through is shot when you have to go back and then go inside. Worst part about the ordeal is how poorly the management handled the situation. They said sorry, and gave us the burgers. No sorry for your convenience here’s a warm fries on us, nothing. Poor employee performance + poor customer service = poor management.

I went thru this morning at 12:30 am and apparently they only take cash without any sign letting you know before you order. Luckily I had cash on me! After leaving I opened my Filet-o-Fish and it looked like there was only a small piece of cheese it was hanging off the side! Geez… how hard is it to put a slice of cheese on a sandwich? The MOD didn’t seem like she wanted to be there also… so I’m thinking it might have been her that made the sandwich!!!

Say this real fast 3x: Big Mac, Filet O Fish, Quarter Pounder, French Fries. Icy Coke, Thick Shakes, Sundaes and Apple Pie. Haahh…that jingle puts me in the mood for a nostalgic and sentimental trip down memory lane. As with all fast food establishments the Jeckyl and Hyde experience comes with the territory. Can get really good or bad, fast or slow, service that makes you happy or mad. Or ever had an experience where they tell you they ran out of product? It happened to me here. They ran out of hamburger patties which is like 1⁄3rd of their menu. Hmm… somebody upstairs telling me to stop eating fast food perhaps? Current Promo: Shamrock Shakes(Green Mint) back for a limited time. AND the McPick 2 for $ 5 Menu. Choose any two from the following: Big Mac, Filet O Fish, Quarter Pounder with Cheese, or 10 piece Chicken McNuggets.

My poor sister, ordered a McChicken, and they gave her a sandwich with lettuce, mayo and a slab of hamburger meat. This has NEVER happened before LOL. I was laughing at my sister, but now thinking of it, that’s really terrible and I bet it tasted terrible. Eek. My boyfriend said the last french vanilla latte he’s gotten from here tasted sour. I took a sip and yea, it was a weird sour taste. Maybe their milk went back. Ewie.

Horrible service! Wanted to get a chicken wrap and a sundae, only to be told they accepted cash only. I asked what time their credit card machine would be up, all I got was«I don’t know» and then silence. So unhelpful. I went and got cash, came back, when they told me now their ice cream machine wasn’t working. No apologies or anything. Also, it was so slow. Took me about 15min to finally get my chicken wrap. All the while nobody there was friendly, helpful, or apologetic. Never coming back to this location!

Its a very cold morning and I walked inside and greeted by workers with warm smiles. I had to choose what kind of breakfast I shall get… Decided… Big breakfast Hot pancakes with suasage biscuit and scrambled eggs with hashbrown. Also a big iced vanilla coffee. So delicious! Service was great and wonderful. Made my morning a head start especially on a monday January 4, 20161st day back to work. Made it on time for work and was busy the whole day working very hard. Mcdonalds made my day started with a fantastic job on welcoming customers at beretania locations. The cashier Luis Jennifer was so awesome and was really very kind. She did some upsales and I gladly took the reasonable offer. She also explained to me about my receipt, and clearly mentioned that I had to wait for my order as they call out my number. But it was fast! coolios!

Typical McDonald’s in the Beretania and Ward Avenue area. Drive through is quick and easy. Nothing memorable or outstanding to speak of. Regular fare.

This is my go-to McDonald’s these days. For one, the location is convenient with entry/exit via Beretania Street or Young Street. I hit the drive-thru on the way into downtown Honolulu or the H-1 headed west. They employ a security guard during peak times to help direct traffic in their parking lot and drive-thru lane. Excellent idea. I noticed that this McDonald’s employs a very ethnically diverse crew. Training and developing standard practices must be difficult with so many languages and cultural backgrounds but every employee I have encountered has been on point. I come here regularly and have experienced consistently excellent service. Sure small mistakes happen occasionally but they have never completely blown it… if you have experienced other McDonald’s locations you know what I’m talking about. The bottom line is that this McDonald’s has great management. Well done. This McDonald’s gets 5 stars for service but I can’t give it more than 3 stars overall. I am a big fan of the coffee beverages that have been developed in recent years but the menu and food quality are subpar. The product just isn’t as good as the other fast food competitors out there. The good news is this McDonald’s delivers their product well.

Every time I’m in town and I’m hungry fast food is the best sometimes!.. this line are usually long but I’ve managed to wait and boom I was done less then 10 min in the drive thru line. don’t let the line intimidate you just be patience and it would go by much quicker.

Ordered coffee and apple pies and stood on the side only to find… the person in the back preparing the apple pies were touching them WITHOUT gloves on. Every single person handling food was wearing gloves, except this one employee. Grabbing the apple pies from the fryer with her bare hands. She then proceeded to do other things and then went back to touching the pies without gloves on! This…disgusts me. I’m sure handwashing and hygiene are a huge part of the Mcdonalds policy but I’m sorry, if everyone else is wearing gloves, you should be too. Yuck. You should watch them prepare your food because who knows where its been. Ugh so freaked out and kind of turned off by Mcdonalds in general.

I come to this McDonalds often. It’s nice because it’s open 24⁄7(both drive thru and dine in) and with a bathroom. It’s normally clean and the staff are friendly. The 8am time frame can be a bit busy(mostly the elderly community and commuters) and the lines(both drive thru and dine in) can be long, but shorter than lunch time or closer to 5pm(a lot of school kids). Sometimes there is no parking, but the security guard outside makes sure you’re in and out around 30 mins if you are parked in the front. So, you drive around a few laps and can get parking. He also conducts the traffic there, since the line can go out to traffic. But normally it’s not that crazy. Free soda and coffee refills. Senior discounts. I suggest not to get the Asian salad, unless you have time to thaw out the frozen edamame and peppers. But the banana pie is great! I love how the McDonald’s in Hawaii have great flavor a like coconut, taro, banana, and custard! There is a atm inside and handicap friendly.

This is one of the nicer McDonald’s restaurants in the city. Located across the street from a nice Burger King, I feel like these two businesses have to stay on their toes to compete. There is plenty of parking right off Beretania. It’s located near the Honolulu Museum of Arts and Kaiser Hospital. The dining room is bright with accents of Hawaiiana. The employees are courteous and efficient. Everything is clean also. It’s a place where older people come to read and relax. I’ve only had ice cream at this location and it was consistently good. Not a bad fast-food place.

I received a call from a Manager this morning.(I left feedback on the McDonald’s website regarding my visit) she was appreciative for the feedback and explained that they are trying harder to enforce the 45 min time limit set for on premise dining and is well aware of the homeless situation. She also apologized for the less than satisfactory quality of the food I purchased. Received a second call from another manager this afternoon. He, too, apologized for the unsatisfactory experience. It is good to know that my concerns didn’t go unnoticed. I have upped my rating to three stars.

This is a good place because it is a 24 hour place and very common and a quick fix for a meal. However, I just wish that most of the homeless people who frequently hang out and not really order anything should always honor the sign and make sure that they do abide the 45 min limit of seating. Otherwise people will not want to eat there. But other than that, good to have a quick and inexpensive meal.

There are good and bad things to say about this McDonald’s. The good is that they have updated the restaurant since I was last here which was a LONG time ago. The restaurant is a lot nicer ambiance wise and there is free Wi-Fi as well as a Bank of Hawaii ATM in-store. This location also is centrally located. It is near the Honolulu Museum of Art and Blasidell Center. If you are headed downtown for work, this makes for a good stopover to pick up a drink and/or breakfast in the morning. Perhaps the biggest plus is that this location is open 24 hours. The largest issue with this location is that it is busy. The drive thru and the parking(of which there isn’t is a lot) can be a problem. There is also a sign which says to limit your time in the restaurant to 45 minutes. So this is not the place to go if you are looking for a work or study space. This McDonald’s is perfectly okay. Though this is more of a spot meant for a quick bite or fast food takeout.
