McDonald’s

You’ve been to 1 McD’s you’ve been to them all. Wrong.
For some strange reason when my parents fly in from whatever international destination they were at, they always want to grab breakfast at McD’s? I think it tastes like America for them. This location is fast, convenient and after their renovations they seem to always be quite clean.
This review is mostly for my McGriddle, which for the first time in a long time… looked like the picture. That never happens. It was piping hot, delicious and so pretty. You just can’t beat that.

Unbelievable!!! Went through the drive thru, ordered 2 Egg McMuffins. When I pull up at the pick up window, they asked me to go to the second pick up window because my order was not ready. While waiting, I noticed 5 others cars behind me who have already received their orders!!! Really, how long does it take to make their classic Egg McMuffins?!
I ended up parking (which defeats the purpose of the drive thru) and went inside to ask what was going on. A weak apology was given and nothing was done to compensate my wasted time and gas!

What a modern and beautiful McDonalds. Nice Hawaiian music playing in the background. Went here for early morning breakfast on Saturday morning. Super fast AND friendly service. You don’t see that too much these days. Wish all McDonald’s were as pretty, prompt and friendly as this one.

This is a clean McDonald’s that’s open 24-​hours. There is a decent drive through and large parking lot. To date I haven’t had any mix ups on my orders that is typical of fast food joints. Pretty quick and hospitable service.

Thought I’d surprise the kids with a quick breakfast… 15 minutes in a drive through!!! Not a good plan to go through the drive through… The cars on the freeway above make too much noise for the drive through speakers. Repeating my order 5 times almost telling is not a good plan!!!
The lack of attention when the order was taking place made me settle for my cream and sugar to be put on the side, usually I prefer it in my coffee– but having to repeat my order five times me to just easier for me to put it in myself.
We got to the pick up window and order wasn’t ready we waited for five more minutes. I was told to go to the next window that I was told to wait until I got my drinks. Usually they ask if we want to drink holder this McDonald just assumes we wanted one when we didn’t.
Overall.I’m not impressed

This McDonald’s is esthetically pleasing. Even the tables and chairs are different from other McDonald’s restaurants. It has a good size parking lot and a good length for the double drive thru to which there is always a line.
Depending on the day they either don’t have enough staff or the staff is moving like Zippy the wonder snail. There was one cashier and one person filling the floor and window orders. It was crazy to see so little people behind the counter. It took over 20 minutes for me to get oatmeal, a parfait and a hash brown.
The good thing is the parfait came out of an almost frozen case, but the hash brown was not hot since they were just laying around waiting to be bought. After tasting the oatmeal I didn’t like the combination of fruits, but others might enjoy it. I am an apples and brown sugar or apples and strawberries kinda girl.
If you’re not in a hurry this is a nice place to stop. If you need to get somewhere fast, go somewhere else.

The wait for food here is ridiculous. I will never go again. It would save time to drive down the street to the moanalua McDonald’s or just get something different, I don’t have time to just wait around all day for McDonald’s food.

Although this is probably the most modern McDonald’s in Honolulu, we got the incorrect order not once but twice. Lack of attention to detail brings the stars down to 2. Conveniently next to the airport for a quick meal, a plus.

The crew here is always working so hard! It’s always busy inside and out and I’m glad to see they can keep their composure and continue to deliver the best, even when they are faced with some of the most difficult customers.
My food is always hot and as fresh it can get from a Mickey D’s. Love the iced coffee with sugar free vanilla!
Oh and those fried apple pies! I gotta enjoy these here before I head back to the mainland in a few years or so (they’re baked over there!).
I’m lovin the location and cleanliness they continue to show forth. Keep up the great work team!!!

Awesome service and very clean dining area as well as the surroundings. Lots of young employees. High school/​college students getting experience and learning some life skills needed to survive in this society. So don’t be so rude and inconsiderate with them when you don’t get what you ask for. Just put yourself in their shoes and think about the pressure those kids are going through.
My server was very polite and efficient. He double checked my order and ensured I had my complete order including my sweet and sour sauce. He was very outgoing and his personality fits the customer service industry. In fact that whole shift was like a well oiled machine that worked togther very well. This was around 8:00 pm.
Lots of loiterers for the airport waiting on their flights to arrive or waiting for their family to get off work.
I’ll be back for another Banana Pie and and a McFlurry.

Instead of using delicious, attractive photos to capture the majority of «visual» human beings, this particular store should put «real» photos– poorly made products. They should put their current slogan that they have on their cups: «half empty of half full» on McCafe drinks, French fries, cones. And the drive thru should be renamed to «Pay then park and wait» because I parked at the window waiting for them to make my coffee. Drive thru, sorry, I mean park and wait sucked. I’m sure each store is different, but why’d it have to happen to me… I love your coffee!

Must have some sound issues w/​freeway rt next to the drive-​thru. They always tend to have a hard time hearing the order. However, they haven’t gotten my order wrong yet, so I don’t mind repeating the order a few times :)

This is the newest McDonald’s that opened up in the old Byron’s Drive In location near the airport. It’s clean, service is fast, and usually the line in the drive thru moves quickly. The food is always prepared great so far — no soggy fries, and lukewarm burgers. Better than the other McDonald’s in the area such as Valkenburgh or Salt Lake Shopping Center.

This place is the worst McDonald’s I’ve ever been to. I pull in after work at 11pm. Hungry and wanting to eat, seeing that they are open 24hrs. No problem right? I wait for about ten minutes no reply after trying to reach out five times
I see the sign has not been taken down since it’s been water logged and hardly visible. Reading that there are no ice cream and shakes due to poor maintenance with the equipment. I finally pull up to the window seeing if anyone could take my order. Nope just maybe a manager walking back and forward (wearing a grey collared McDonald’s shirt). She even glanced at me and didn’t even take into consideration that I was the only customer they have. I knock on the window and still no response. I kindly told them to «Fuck off» and drove away. Never coming back to this shit hole.

Here is an article I wrote about my vacation to Honolulu, Hawaii. My wife Deanna Jaxine Stinson and I, made many stops to eat. Here is the article:
OMG! The employees are soooo friendly and my wife Deanna and I — won and we paid for our food with lovin! They took our picture and had us sign a contract to use our photo for their promotions. We had a nice FREE breakfast. We ate every morning at McDonalds during our vacation in Honolulu. The employees treated the customers with respect and with a smile. Deanna and I, felt like we were part of the McDonald’s family.

This review will be short considering I shouldn’t have to explain much about mcdonald’s. What I really liked about this mcdonald’s is that it is very spacious.
Driving in and out is very easy and parking is decent. Overall there is a lot of space on the inside and out which gave it a more pleasant vibe for me. The tables are nice, it looks as new as it should (considering it is still new), and honestly I don’t have anything to complain about other than some of the tables could have been wiped down (French fry salt was everywhere lol).

Nice looking mcdonalds. Most of it is the same like it is on the mainland. The only thing I was crazy for is that it serves spam and rice in the morning but my husband said that’s popular here in Hawai’i lol so it is common.
We are staying at a near by hotel and so we come here quite a few times. I’m not going to say thatvthe serice here is bad it’s just that they try and quickly dismiss you. There are times I want an extra thing like sauce or something but before I even have a word out they’re turning their back. Another is that I ordered a salad (salads are ariund 6 bucks) and my salad was literally half of what the bowl was! It wasn’t worth $ 6!

ordered a Crispy Chicken Ranch sandwich, and asked for an extra thing of ranch. They charge for it here, even if you’re already spending $ 7 on a sandwich. I used to work at McDonalds back in the day, and I have never been a fan of the ones that charge for reasonable amounts of extra condiments, bc not everybody likes ketchup.
Does look nice inside, and the food tastes like all mcdonalds food everywhere does, just not a fan of the policy or the way the lady told me said policy.

Mc Donald’s is usually the same every where I go. This is a new one in Nimitz Hwy where Byron’s drive in was. Prime location and will attract a lot patrons. Need to work on drive thru. Too long with minimal cars in line.

This place went up really fast, even though it said «opening in October» it opened in November. You would think that having double drive thru lanes would make it more efficient and get customers through faster. Not the case.
My only gripe is that my order required a fork and knife. When I arrived at my destination ready to eat my food, there were napkins but no fork and knife. Not cool. I guess they will learn as time goes by but that was just a simple look-​in-​the-​bag-​before-​handing-​to-​the-​customer.
