Fuck this run down korean piece of shit place, im guessing since its Hawaii people think its great but ive had better food in third world countries. This is way over priced and not worth your time. Go down the street to Yummy korean restaurant instead!!! This establishment is the epitome of the Korean trash lifestyle and culture.

The best Hawaiian BBQ I’ve ever had!!! This was our last meal in Hawaii and I’m so glad that we ate here. A bit over priced but so worth it! I highly recommend their galbi and chicken. I can’t believe they only take cash and their seats are so limited!

If you want authentic Hawaiian/Asian food then this is the place. This is the only place like it in Waikiki. This is a hidden gem The food was probably the best food I have had during my vacation. They give you soooo much food. My husband and I shared a plate and we both full after. Get the BBQ beef and chicken combo, you can’t go wrong with that. Plus you get 4 sides. Outdoor Seating is limited.

This place was a short walk from the condo we were staying at so we decided to order takeout and enjoy our meal from our condo — especially since there isn’t much seating. No seating inside and just a few tables outside. Portions here are enormous. We ordered 3 combos and that was more than enough food to feed 5 of us. The meats we tried were all delicous — flavorful and seasoned well. So disappointed in the sides that came with the combos. You get a choice of 4 sides(WOW) with each combo so we were able to try many of their sides — jap chae(sp?), coleslaw, broccoli, corn, mac salad. All the sides were bleh. Jap chae had not flavor — very bland. Coleslaw and mac salad were plain. Corn was out of a can. Broccoli was overcooked. I really want to give this place 2 stars, but bumped it up to 3 since the meat was good.

Stayed in Waikiki area for vacation and this restaurant had lines and people eating here everyday. We didn’t try it until our last day… That was our fault because the food was amazing! I had the BBQ chicken with rice, macaroni salad, potatoes, some kinda noodles, I forgot what else I had but the BBQ chicken and macaroni salad with rice was delicious! Those are my favorite items from my plate! Their soda was only $ 1 I think that’s the cheapest I’ve seen this entire trip for something to drink. If I knew the food tasted that great then I would of eaten here more!

This place looks like it would have amazing Korean BBQ and if you’re straight from the homeland, you very well may think they have amazing Korean BBQ. As for me, it was okay. I’m half Asian, but my American pallet doesn’t really like that much fat in my meat. My dad loved it, but he’s from the Philippines and likes fatty meat. So, if you grew up here, it will do the job and at the very most you’ll «like it.» You’re parents however(if you’re Asian) will probably love it.

This place just rocked my world… Like really, really rocked it. We ordered the #5MEATJUN, which is basically thin beef strips fried in egg. It’s been by far the best type of Korean BBQ I’ve enjoyed. I am going back in the am to have breakfast before my flight out it was that good! I think most people order the chicken or beef because it’s safe, but I’m telling you, this is the tastiest. FYI its cash only, so bring ya dollars. :)

Came here before as it was only a few blocks from my hotel. There’s isn’t much parking but I wasn’t concerned as it only took a few minutes to walk over, order and have my food. Took it to go and was happy. The Korean BBQ and noodles were so delicious after a long day at the beach. I suggest this spot for anybody who is hungry and looking for damn good food. Prices are reasonable and the quality of the food is surprisingly good. I’ll definitely return when I’m back in Waikiki. Take cash as they do not accept card.

Great local Korean BBQ place serving very generous plate meals. 2 meals fed our family of 4. Close to Waikiki beach and surrounded by hotels and condo. Great food for the money.

Really good for the price especially compared to the places surrounding it! The food is great and there are huge portions that are much bigger than those shown in the pictures outside. It may look like a hole in the wall but it’s delicious. I got the bbq chicken full(this includes 4 sides) and this was $ 10/$ 11 Cons: Lady inside that works there is a little cold when you ask her questions and the limited seating is outside

Perfect spot if you’re just wanting meat and rice. All the sides are pretty good. The noodles were a personal favorite. The katsu chicken was really good. If you’re trying to save some $$$, they’re servings are good to share with another person.

Looking for a something fairly priced, delicious and huge portions in the Waikiki area? Then look no further, Me’s is the place to go. Me’s is a hole-in-the-wall that serves up some delicious Korean grub! Located slightly off the strip area(and depending where your hotel is), the place may be a trek to get to BUT the food is worth the trip. Grab a to-go box and sit by the nearby beach to relax! Each combo plate comes with a main meat &4 veggie sides with rice. You can also opt for jap chae if you don’t want the white rice. The one thing you absolutely need to get here is the BBQ Chicken! The chicken here is very very flavourful and super juicy and tender. It was a surprise to me as how good this meat was! Forget the kalbi, bbq beef or chicken katsu, the BBQCHICKEN is the bomb. Minus one star for the awkward lady working the counter. Came off slightly rude.

This place was a solid find for a late dinner. It’s a tiny restaurant with a patio in the front to eat at. We got a bi min bop and a combo plate and it was TONS of great food. The combo plates come with a choice of 4 sides. We had the Korean noodles, kimchi and macaroni salad and they were all great. I would recommend this place.

Fairly fast and cash only. We had to visit an atm to get some food here. It’s nice that 4 sides are included with the order. The kimchi and bean sprouts were good. The main dish itself is yummy too. The Na’s combo had big pieces of chicken, beef along with fish Jun and fat pot stickers, which were hot and crispy.

This hole in the wall place but wow it was good. Taking Unilocal review I went here for lunch before my ten mile trek around downtown. I ordered the Chicken Katsu and it came with 4 sides on top of a generous portion or Katsu chicken over a generous amount of rice. I managed to devour all this as it was needed for my journey around Waikiki. Chicken Katsu Bottle water $ 11 including tip.

This is my favorite BBQ chicken I’ve had on the island yet, and I’ve been on a mission to find the best. They take cash only and they are very busy with only for few tables so have an action plan for where you’ll devour this deliciousness. You get three huuuge pieces of chicken and enough rice to really split into three meals if you’re able to do that sort of thing. All the veggies I ordered were great — sometimes in these places it’s a bit of a gamble. Give it a shot if you’re in Waikiki and want a quick and relatively cheap lunch or dinner(they have breakfast too).

5 Stars for cheap eats in Waikiki! *Breakfast Review* Me’s Bar-B-Q is located on Uluniu St, almost on the corner near Kuhio Ave and across the street from Musubi Café Iyasume. It was to early for a Korean plate, but damn Me’s had a lot of choices of tasty looking Korean eats to choose from. Clean, small hole in the wall place with tables outside to enjoy your food. It’s a Plate lunch style kind of joint, but the $ 5 breakfasts is WELL Worth it as portions are generous and hit the spot if you’re seeking a simple breakfast without breaking the bank. With all that money you saved on brekkie you’ll be able to walk across the street to Musubi Café Iyasume and get some Ono musubi’s or bentos for later. Tell me where in Waikiki can you 2 Ono breakfasts and 2 coffee’s for under $ 13? Brekkie is served from 7 – 10:30am Mon-Sat Definitely one of the Best cheap eats in Waikiki!
