Do not go here. I got one tire here and they were rude but quick honestly. They never told me I needed cash or needed to dispose of the tire or pay an extra $ 25! 1 day after I got the tire, the tire pressure light went off, so I filled it up thinking that was the problem. It happened again 2 days later. I called they said the would do nothing. So I filled it up again and went to the mainland the next day. Came back and the tire is almost flat.
Save yourself the agony and just buy new

Super cheap, but great quality in tires. These guys are awesome. Quick and efficient and all around great service.

called on the phone for tires that i have for replacements. got the quote for $ 12 off and $ 12 on! i drove specifically to mikes tire shop because of that! when i got there they were in a big rush to change my tires, then i asked to confirm the price? now they are telling me $ 15 off and $ 15 on ! i told the worker i had the a phone quote for $ 12 etc. he shut that down will quick. No! it is $ 15 etc. i was already there, so, i gave in and did the $ 15 etc. But, No more to Mikes tire shop for me ! and for everyone that i know! Very deceiving! Not a good tire shop because of that.

Don’t get any use tires from any company especially this one. it will cost you more in the long run and it wont even be under warranty. If some thing goes wrong, they wont tell you till you bring it back, even in a month that the warranty is for 1 week. Stay away. go to dealers like firestone, good year, midas, where they are legitimate and you have the safety in dealing with established, reputable business names that are in most major cities.

Not sure why people wrote bad reviews about this place because I didn’t have a problem at all. I called ahead to see if they had two tires I needed desperately. To my luck they did and he told me the price on the phone. I paid 140 total for 2 tires with about 90 – 95 percent tread left and mounted and balanced. His price did not change on me and I was in and out of there in no more than 15 minutes. Will definitely be coming back next time j need tires. Thanks guys!

They sold us and yes we bought it. A used tire for $ 70.00. Tread life at 15%, uneven wear and a tear in the sidewall. When I asked the tech (owner) about the hole, he replied «it doesn’t leak». Unfortunately we had towed the van twice this morning and he only had this one tire. When asked about the cost of a new tire, $ 140 was his answer. Firestone sells a new tire for $ 127. He opened late (9:15) and although courteous, his price was non negotiable and over priced. I will be seeing Alika tomorrow morning and pick up a better tire for this poor lady that we were trying to help. I understand times are hard, but karma will do her thing. My advice, shop around and don’t wait to replace a bad spare tire. Call Alika, he’s on Craigslist. Sorry for the brutal review, but it is the truth.

Great service and friendly guy working. He was alone so it was a long wait, but he worked fast. They don’t do tire balancing so my car is vibrating and I have to take it elsewhere, so that’s why it’s not a 5 star. I called all over and couldn’t find an unusual tire that anyone had in stock. They had it new and used for much cheaper than anywhere else and I didn’t have to wait around for it to get shipped. Overall I’m very satisfied.

Fast… get in, they change em, pay em, den get out. if you not local youll probably complain bout costumer service. hahah

My wife bought a used tire and it fell off the rim. There were no nails, holes, blowout, ect which leads me to believe it wasn’t mounted properly so when I call and tell them about it the only thing I got was used tires only have a week warranty I can’t do anything for you. I could understand if it was just bad luck and she got a hole somewhere but there isn’t one. This happened because of your negligence and you refuse to help! Are you kidding me!

I’ll admit it… I was skeptical because the reviews for this place are all over the place. But I was desperate. My tire had a leak and I was losing air fast. I put air in my tire in Kapahulu and by the time I got to Kalihi, my TPM light was on. We called everywhere. lex Brodie’s, midas, Costco, jiffy lube and no one could help us cause they were closed or they didn’t plug tires. My husband found Mikes on Unilocal and called them and they said we could come down.
The place is on Bannister street. near OCCC and Laumaka. Im born and raised in Kalihi so I know Bannister looks worse than it really is, but I could totally see people that aren’t familiar with the area give a few side eyes LOL
As soon as we pulled in, a guy greeted us. Yes, he «looks» like hes been up to no good a few times in his life but he was nice. So were the other 2 that I talked too. I got the vibe that its a very old school place. show respect and they’ll give it right back. Walk in like an ass all high makamaka and you might have a hard time.
I ended up buying a new tire and they finished mounting it in like 10 minutes. They actually had to pick up the tire from the warehouse because they didn’t have it at their shop. I appreciated that– the guy said the warehouse is near the airport.
All in all, I had a good experience. Looks like this shop is also the hang out spot after work. When we were leaving a couple guys started showing up with cases of green bottles LOL
Also, bring cash. If you use card, they charge $ 15 extra.

Needed some cheap used tires. No appointment needed. We just pulled up and let them know what we needed. We were out of there 15 minutes later with our new tires. Would have been faster but there were two people in front of us.

Hands-​down, the cheapest and THE best place to get your tires from. Local braddahs who don’t beat around the bush; and tells you the total of your tire purchase, which includes mounts, balance, installation, AND disposal. Seriously, there are even cheaper than Costco or Sam’s Club! Normally it’s best to make a reservation but, when they’re not busy, they can service you right then and there. I was in and out within one hour. They had a few customers that they were working with, yet they were still able to see me as a walk-​in. They also have a table area where you can hang out and watch TV while you wait. They even have a soda machine if you’re thirsty.
Only thing I have to do now is get an alignment. Highly suggest going to them and would come back again if I ever needed service for my tires.
One thing to keep in mind is that, it’s best to come with cash. If you decide to pay with the credit card, there is a $ 25 additional processing fee. So it’s best to call ahead to get a quote, and then come with cash

Smells like dog pee and sh**
No waiting room
$ 10 extra for debit use
Workers look like x tweekers or still tweekers
But all in all, cheap tires and gets the job done. Just double check all work before leaving.

It took me 2 trips and 5 hours just to talk to someone.
I showed up at 11am (hours: 8am — 7pm) when I saw them pulling away for what I assumed was lunch, I sat for 3 hours, and decided they probably were on Hawaiian time and set their own hours. Cool.

Needed. two used tires to match my other two which was about 80% tread.
Dirt bags put unevan balding on one side. Mounting them inwards to try n hide it.

Came here to get my new tires I Ordered online mounted and balanced. Yeah they mounted it fast… but I specifically asked to make sure it was balanced. They guy told me never need that it was close enough.

1 minute on the freeway determined that guy was full of BS. Took it to lex Brodie’s on my way home and the front balance was off by 12 grams!!!
There’s a good reason these guys are located in the ghetto… cause its just like their work!

Pros: Fast service, decent prices, fair selection.
Cons: Cash preferred!!! Cards are and additional fee $ 10.
Lesson learned– BRING CASH, call ahead!

If all you need are tires mounted, no questions asked, this is the place. I called in the morning to let them know I could be there at 1700, came in after work and they started working on my car almost immediately. They seemed fully staffed, guys hit both sides of the vehicle and got my old wheels off, removed the tires, and mounted the new ones on the old rims without any damage. I’m not sure if the tires were balanced– it didn’t look like the weights were moved– but I came to have the job done fast.
I bought my tires off Amazon and had them shipped to me free, saved a ton over guys like Lex Brodie’s– and no BS about «we won’t mount what you didn’t buy here» or «that’s not the size the manufacturer states your vehicle can use» or «you didn’t buy those tires here, so we’re jacking up the installation price» like other places will tell you.

All I have to say about this place is that they are really fast. There are more than a few workers here so they tag team your four tires and in less that ten minutes you’re done and out of there! Highly recommended!
