So great!!! Our kids are 11, 9, and 6. First of all, the location is perfect. Magic Island provides calm, cool, clear water and a beautiful view. More importantly, Crystal is awesome. She works so well with each kid’s ability and really understands how to connect with them even though they couldn’t be more different in the way that they learn. My husband and I saw a difference after their first lesson and now they seem transformed. Very highly recommended.

Love! Love! Love! Mr. Fish Ocean Swimming!!! My family visits Hawaii every summer for a month or more and I wanted my 10 year old daughter to have a fun activity during our time here. I stumbled upon Mr. Fish Ocean Swimming on Craigslist and could not be more satisfied. Back at home in Southern California she has regular lessons at the Rose Bowl Aquatic Center so I wanted to find someone that teaches real swimming skills, form and technique. Crystal is the real deal. My daughter really enjoyed her lessons. She developed solid confidence and skills in swimming in Hawaii’s ocean waters. Her lessons were an hour long and my daughter felt safe and at ease the entire time out in the ocean away from the shore. Thank You Crystal! You’re the best! I will continue to enroll her in private lessons with Crystal every Summer!

Signed up both my 5 yr old and my 3 yr old and have not regretted it!!! We don’t go to the beach as much as we’d like to so it’s great reason to go the beach. Crystal, the swim instructor, tailors the lesson to each kid’s ability and personality. The lessons run about 30 min and she alternates between each child depending on how many are there. The classes are in the Magic Island lagoon where it’s relatively calm but provides a much different environment than the pool. The kids like it and it’s great to see our them improve with each swim lesson. We signed them up for the 10 lesson course and feel like we got out money’s worth with how quickly the kids are acclimating to the water. The Good: lessons progress at a good pace for learning, Magic Island lagoon is fairly empty during lessons, Crsytal is very flexible with meeting up and make-up classes, the price is a great value, individualized attention, and a great reason to drive into town despite all the traffic. The Bad: Cant think of any that pertains to the swim school… The water’s kinda cold when you first get in… lol. Would I recommend: that is a definite YES! I would sign my kids up again.
