I walked over 7 miles today, including hiking up to the top of Diamond Head so my leg muscles and knees are very sore, which is why I wanted a massage. So I wandered into this place in the hotel, and saw a sign that apparently had a massage pricing special on — it had $ 60 crossed out and $ 45 was the New special price. I think that was for a massage but I don’t know because all the words were in Japanese. So I tried the door, locked, so I picked up the phone & dialed 227. I told the girl who answered that I wanted a massage and she said cash only no credit cards. Well I know the credit card companies charge 3% so on a $ 60 massage that would be $ 1.80 and we don’t want them to go bankrupt so I said I’d have to walk back to my hotel to get cash. I did so, which took 35 minutes and put more pressure on my already sore feet/legs/knees. So I get back and this guy that worked for the massage place was talking to me about what kind of massage I wanted and I also mentioned I needed a female therapist and he called one to come over. I said $ 60 right? He said«yes plus tax and service charge it comes to $ 73» I was like nevermind and started to leave, feeling swindled. Because after I tipped it would come to like $ 85!!! That’s a HUGE jump up from $ 60. He actually said to me «This is America, it’s gonna be like that anywhere you go.» So I said«Did you just say this is America?!» He nodded. I said«I’m from new York and I get massages ALLTHETIME and I’ve never been charged tax or service charge» He said«well maybe not service charge but we do that because it’s Japanese people and they don’t tip» I said«Well I would have tipped. GENEROUSLY.» and I exited gracefully.

Oh, my neck, my back, my shoulders and my…(What rhymes with quack?) Lol! Just had the hot stone massage mixed with lomi lomi and I feel FANTASTIC! Darko is experienced and knows how treat your needs. The aroma therapy oil he uses is heated and is great for your skin. You must experience this treat at least once a month!

Pinched my nerve or something in my back decided to try acupuncture for the first time. Im so scared of needles but tried it anyway. Place is super clean, smells nice, atmosphere very relaxing . Acupuncture was great. They even set needles on fire for few min. Pain was gone and felt super light on my feet after. Next time trying a massage. 5 stars
