Totally love going to my dental office. Who says that? This! Gal! Their receptionist Ann keeps me updated with my appointments and has even managed to keep me on track when Doctor or my Dental Hygienist Elsie is on vacation! My main dental hygienist is Elsie: I have napped during cleanings. Don’t know if that is good or not… not painful? That is good stuff. Doctor Torigoe is awesome because he hired and leads a warm, caring staff. Tough to get an appointment. If you are looking for a great dental office, call Ann.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Torigoe every 6 months from what seems like the beginning of time. I never understood why dentists were always so feared… Yes, when I was little, Dr. Torigoe was a big scary man who told me I had to floss and brush and wear my retainer otherwise I’d get cavities. I was threatened with the thought of having to go back to get my cavities filled, but got over it when I reminded myself that I really didn’t mind going to the dentist… In fact, more often than not, I’d fall asleep when I had my teeth cleaned. It has now become some kind of joke… like I’m the only one who falls asleep! In my defense, my appointments would always be at 7am. Elsie cleans my teeth. Or Sandy if Elsie is on maternity leave :) They’re both super sweet and(more importantly) are okay with me sleeping. LOL. When I was 11, I had surgery and have to take medication before getting my teeth cleaned now. Exactly an hour before(come on, do the math. YES, THATIS6AM!!). Luckily, I have Ann :) Best receptionist in the world. She calls me a few days before my appointments. She’ll even text me to remind me to take my medicine!

I was a sweaty, trembling, terrified girl. Not just on the first visit, but on the second, third, fourth, fifth, … Dr. Torigoe and his staff were gentle and compassionate with me on each and every single visit, until I finally believed: they weren’t going to hurt me, not even accidentally. :) People Ann is the probably the first person you’ll see. She’ll get you scheduled, make sure you’ve got all the info you need, and is one of the most efficient and«together» people I’ve met. She’s a joy to work with. Sandy is my hygienist and even if you don’t think you have an inner child, that inner child will feel soothed and calm by the time you leave her chair. She’ll get your teeth clean, and she’ll do it in a way that keeps you coming back. Dr. Torigoe listens. He might have other patients to see, but when he’s sitting with you, you’re the most important thing. He’s also nice, kind, gentle, and patient. It couldn’t have been easy for him to work on me when my legs were literally – I’m not making this up – shaking with fear and my sweaty hands had a death grip on my pants legs, but he did it, time and again. Now we can laugh about those days. :) Pricing Dr. Torigoe and his office aren’t out to get rich or gouge anyone; they truly, sincerely care about their patients and want us to be healthy and happy. Sounds like marketing blah blah, but it’s not. They don’t say that kind of stuff; they show it. Practice My teeth are happy and healthy. I hate to think what my dental health would be like if not for Dr. Torigoe and his staff. Seriously. Because I’m the kind of person that will avoid pain and discomfort until something really bad happens. They’ve turned me around. I may not LOVE dentist visits now, but it says a lot that I show up, am genuinely happy to see them, and always leave feeling happy, too. I’m so grateful to them for working with me and working on me. I’d give them 10 stars if I could.
