Lilian has such finesse and is efficient in her craft! She’s very friendly and professional. I haven’t sugared before, and it was nice of her to take the time to explain what she was doing, as well as the benefits of sugaring vs waxing. I’ll definitely be back for other services (including eye lashes, they looked so good on her) soon!

After a horrific waxing nightmare about a month ago that last 90 minutes I was scared to try again, but I knew I had to try a different place to see if I’d have a different experience this time. Based on Unilocal reviews I reached out to Nohea Studio. Lillian was able to book me via text at short notice. When I showed up at the salon on my lunch break for my sugaring I was anxious, scared and had to get back to work within an hour so I was a fretting a bit. Lillian immediately made me feel at ease. We got started quickly and she did a phenomenal job distracting me through the entire session. There was a bit of pain (this is only my 2^nd time) but it was SOOO much more bearable than my last wax. Lillian seriously flew through it doing an INCREDIBLE job — not missing one hair! after she was done with the sugaring she meticulously cleaned me up with tweezers, again inflicting NO pain.
She was done with me in less than 30 minutes and the final product was BEAUTIFUL! I am so pleased with the sugaring results. I absolutely will be returning to Lillian for all hair removal from now on. SO highly recommended!
Also– studio was clean, new medical style sheet on the bed — so you KNOW its fresh, and very hygienic methodology. I really could go on and on about what a great experience Nohea Studio was for me!

Lillian is very welcoming. I found out about this place from Unilocal and glad I did. Ive been getting brazillians and enjoyed it here. I love that its natural! Her pricing is awesome! Your first visit here is $ 65, maintenance 4 – 8 weeks is $ 45. Its kind of like talking to an older sister when getting services done by Lillian, shes amazing you wont regret it.

Lillian is so funny, very easy to talk to, and very knowledgable in what she does. She makes the experience extremely comfortable, especially for a first timer! She also I works very fast! Her studio is clean, smells good, and there is always something interesting on TV.
I’ve tried the sugaring and prefer it much more over waxing. Is it weird to say that it actually feels good?

After a terrible first-​experience with waxing, I’ve shied away from professional hair removal for years. Found Lillian by recommendation and was so impressed with her professionalism, ability to put me at ease, and swiftness. She specializes in «sugaring” – a waxing alternative I found exponentially better than waxing. I was in and out in under 20 minutes; and with a location downtown, and right off the freeway, the location is excellent as well. Available by appointment only!

Nohea Studio is located off the corner of Bishop and Vineyard. There is free parking on the lot. It is on the second floor of the building. The studio is very clean and cozy. The studio itself doesn’t have itsown restroom but she gives you a key for one around the corner of the building and it’s clean.
It is VERY difficult to find a good waxing/​sugaring place, let alone someone you like and trust for that unwanted hair removal! Lillian is nothing short of amazing. This was my first time getting «sugared» and I will probably never go back to waxing. I was just going to get my underarms done, but we started discussing a bikini procedure and before you know it, it’s all done! I had tried to get waxed down there before and it was just too painful for me. Lillian made me feel at ease and I trusted her right away. I am so glad I found her! If you need hair removal done, she’s definitely your girl! I scheduled for my next appointment before I even left! She’s very good at what she does so I know her appointment book fills up fast and I wanted to keep coming back for future maintenance. Thank you Lillian! You’re awesome!

Lillian is such a delightful person and a master at her craft. Her hospitable nature made me feel comfortable as soon as I entered her cute studio. And of course I love the silky smooth results and no sales pressure!

Lillian is AWESOME!!! shes super cool, chill and easy to talk to plus she’s pretty funny. You can text her to set up appointments and she’s really good about responding. Parking isn’t too bad, the times I’ve been going I’ve always been able to find parking (i usually go late afternoons or early in the morning). Her work place is nice and clean! She is very knowledgeable and can answer any questions or concerns you have about sugaring but sugaring is so awesome i love it and i have never gone back to regular waxing.

I’m pleased to join the long list of Lilian supporters. Although I was an out-​of-​town visitor (which she knew when I made the appointment), Lilian treated me like a long-​standing regular. She’s incredibly easy to talk to and takes great care of you.

For about half a year now, Lillian has been my girl! And will continue to be! No matter where you go, the whole waxing/​sugaring process will always be on the painful side (price of beauty!) but trust me when I say that I wouldn’t go to anyone else. She’s quick, but thorough and a complete sweetheart. Even booking an appointment is on the easier side since she allows you to text her and schedule it!
Also her products are alllll natural which I LOVE! You can rest assured that Lillian knows what she is doing. I’ll always be a regular here at Nohea!

Yes it is uncomfortable and hurts a bit (breathe and relax) but trust me when I say that Lilian knows what she is doing and she is on point and superb!

Second time sugaring and still on a streak of superb sugaring experts. This place is on the second floor on the corner of nu’uanu and vineyard and also has a lash studio nearby. She was friendly, discussed the procedure, the benefits, and how to prevent in-​grown hairs. Super fast, meticulous, and spent the extra time to clean up any stranding ones. 65 for first time and 45 after that. Throw down the towel ladies, Niger studio is a winner!

Was looking for another place to get a Brazilian because the usual person I go to was on a vacation. As I perused on Unilocal,I found Nohea Studio and read all the reviews and was intrigued about «sugaring.» YouTubed it and wanted to try it — the plus side to it was that I read that Lillian was offering 50% off for your first visit.
I was able to acquire an appointment with Lillian through text.
The place was not hard to find. Went on a Saturday and the parking was close to almost packed.
Lillian took the time to explain what sugaring was, what type of ingredients were in it, why it was beneficial /​better than your regular hot /​hard wax. I am not going to lie, it was slightly painful considering the sugar wax was not warm and the worst part was when the wax was being applied against the hair. Other than that, it was a piece of cake! It was a lot quicker than I expected AND Lillian made sure she did not leave any strays. It was been about 3 days since and I have been fine. I usually start to get itchy and uncomfortable around this time, but so far NOTHING!!! Sugaring is wonderful!
Every positive review was spot on! Lillian was amazing! Customer service was great, she has such a warm personality and just made me feel so comfortable.
On top of that, she sent me a text yesterday following up on how everything was.
I will definitely will be back!

I showed up for my wax greeted by Lillian. She’s full of joy and you can tell she really loves her job. I inquired about the sugaring technique and she said first timers get 50% to try it out! And I did!

Came here because I was about to go on a trip and my normal wax lady is out on maternity leave. I had no idea what «sugaring» was, but after reading her website, I decided to give it a try. Also, she had an available spot open for me the next day of being in contact with her!
Lillian is awesome! She explained exactly what the process was and what she was doing while «sugaring» me. She said that all the products are made of natural ingredients and that the process of sugaring was less painful than waxing. Supposedly the hair grows back lighter and eventually with some maintenance, it doesn’t grow back at all! Also, the TV is up high so you can take your mind off of the task at hand. She gets down! hahaha It can be a little uncomfortable at first but she’s good at what she does and tries to make you feel as comfortable as possible by talking to you the whole time.
I’m so used to waxing so this sugaring thing, wasn’t bad at all. She’s still pulling out the hairs, however, it’s less stressful on your skin. Also, it’s cheaper than most spa’s that do brazlian waxing. Can’t wait to go back to see her again. Don’t let the location fool you. The inside of her studio is private and smells nice too.

Just got back from an appointment with Lillian about an hour ago!
The location isn’t great. it’s on the corner of Nuuanu and Vineyard so it’s a busy area! But this review isn’t about the location. It’s about my first Brazilian experience!
I was more nervous about getting a Brazillian than I was about getting any of my tattoos. People are always talking about how BAD it hurts and how weird it is to get a Brazilian wax.
Lillian made it as painless as possible and like Sofie said, it’s like hanging out with a friend! It didn’t feel weird to have her yankin’ and pullin’ and pushin’…and yah.
Anyways, I decided to go with sugaring because it’s natural! It’s not fiery hot and it feels good!
Her space itself is very homey and welcoming. Just take a seat and wait while she preps a bed, your pillows, and the television for you!

Renae is AMAZING! I’m so fortunate to have found 2 talented women in one studio. Your lashes & brows will look fabulous after you visit these ladies at Nohea.
Renae was so patient with me when I first visited her. I prefer having a very natural look, so I was hesitant about extensions, the length of the lashes and even the extent of the curl. Renae, however, was very patient with me and talked me through every option I had with the lashes. She continually let me peak at the progress of our session making sure that the length and amount of the lashes were ok for my comfort level. I have seen her about 5 times now and have been loving each and every session with her. She is always punctual and easy to talk to. She even brought in mink lashes and I’m absolutely in LOVE with them. Mink lashes look just like your natural lashes and feels so incredibly soft.
