I too had noticed that this had closed. Been here a few times — and always I was impressed with not only the service but the food was over the top good. The decorations always had me amazed. Sorry to see it go– hopefully they will open soon somewhere else. I know that they have been having many different openings and closings of late down in the Ward Area and it is all progress and change. Hopefully it will be for the better.

Happy hour 3 – 6 daily and 9:30-closing Friday and Saturday. It’s a chain, it tastes the same in Hawaii, Arizona, and Las Vegas. Andrew was our server on this visit and offered friendly attentive service. Lettuce wraps were great as always. Didn’t care for the lychee martini, but Andrew was nice enough to swapped it out for something more to my liking.

31 Unilocal Review Challenge #3 of 31 A note to all business: Cheap, strong drinks and eats are all you need to get me into your door! I stopped by here yesterday around 4 p.m. to meet up with some friends and to take advantage of happy hour. $ 3 Longboard and Kirin are a deal plus pupus start from only $ 3. I tried some of my friends drinks and their mixed drinks were strong! The ambience sure is interesting for this place. The restaurant has a dark, moody, and classy feel, which I think would be great for dates. The problem I found was in the music. There were lots of 80’s jams such as Aha’s «Take on Me» and Soft Cell’s «Tainted Love.» This just did not seem to match for a Chinese restaurant, but I did have fun singing loudly along by my drunk self in the men’s room. Other than the music, I loved the Chicken Lettuce Wraps. The crisp water chestnuts went very well with the fresh lettuce, and the flavor was so good! The egg rolls were also ordered, but I thought that the sauce was a little too sweet and orange. It was bright, and stood out in the darkened dining room. If you’re looking for a good happy hour on a weekday, this is the place to be. The food is decent to really good and the drinks are awesome. P.F. Chang’s was empty when we first arrived, but was more than half full when we were leaving around 6 p.m. Great for a early pau hana.

I was jonesing for some lettuce wraps tonight, and suggest CPK. My friend said that the wait would be too long on a Friday night at CPK, whether be at Ala Moana, or Kahala Mall. Next thing you know, P.F. Chang’s is where we ended up to get our lettuce wraps. Overall, a very good dining experience. The service is 1st class! The waiter provided friendly & attentive service. Kept on bringing me my ice tea, cup by cup as I was guzzling it down tonight… ;) P.F. Chang’s had this«Prix-Fixe Menu for a very reasonable price of $ 49.95. You had a choice of soup — Hot & Sour, or Egg Drop soup. A «Starter» or you can say an «Appetizer»(this is where I got my lettuce wrap). And two choices of an entrée. Then they include a mini desert too! I had the following tonight — Egg Drop Soup, Chicken Lettuce Wrap, Crispy Honey Chicken(don’t know what happened to the crispy, because it was not!), Asian Grilled Norwegian Salmon, & a mini dessert(some kind of chocolate cake). If you are looking for some authentic Chinese food… this is not the place to go! I would say P.F. Chang’s serves an «American Style», or «Designer» Chinese Food. So if you’re looking for something like that… then this is the place to go! It was quite busy tonight… I also saw Dan Cooke, as well as Mufi Hannemann in the house tonight.

Great pau hana specials, but that’s about it. 3−6pm everyday. I could not believe how crowded this place was on a Friday late afternoon/early evening. I think many were there for Happy Hour, or as they call it, «pau hana»(which goes until 6pm), but when we left after happy hour was over, people were still waiting for a table. I can’t figure out why, because the only thing Chinese about this place is the name, and the food itself is expensive and mediocre-tasting. The best time to come here(and the only time I’d ever come here) is during happy hour, when the prices for the pupus are a little more reasonable. As far as the pupu menu goes, the decent menu items were the chicken lettuce wraps($ 6), steamed shrimp dumplings($ 5), and crispy green beans($ 5). If you like to drink, you’ll definitely appreciate their drink specials during happy hour, when you can actually get a glass of wine for $ 5. For dessert, we split the fried banana spring rolls($ 7.95) which came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream — it was actually pretty good.
