Paradise Isle Espresso is conveniently located in front of Kaiser Moanalua Medical Center and Hospital. They offer a full coffee menu, but my fave is their coffee granita. Yes… it’s poured from a slurpee like machine but it has a great coffee concentrate for a smooth bold flavor, offers a big caffeine boost and is creamy and smooth unlike Starbucks Frapps. They also serve musubis, cookies, croissants and paninis. The staff is always friendly and service is fast, even in the mornings when staff are just clocking in. Hospitals suck, but good coffee always makes the trip better!

Best Thai iced coffee that I’ve tried in the 808! And to think this isn’t a Thai restaurant. Sandwiches are really delicious, but still does not justify being that pricey, especially since most of the patients would not really want to spend that much of their hard earned cash on pricey food. Service was excellent and included delivery!

I’ve been here only a handful of times, but the service, coffee and sandwiches are all excellent! Élan and staff have a great thing going here.

During this past month, I’ve been either«chaufeurring» my sister to Tripler Army Medical Center OR taking my brother-in-law to visit my sister at Kaiser Permanente Hosptial, Moanalua. So, shortly after my brother-in-law was discharged from TAMC, my sister went in for surgery at Kaiser while I «camped» at their home to assist them with marketing, cooking and housecleaning. I admit that I’m really not a «morning person». I do need a good brew, um, make that coffee, to get me going. Strategically placed at the main entrance of this hospital is Paradise Isle Espresso. Through bleary eyes, I’d escort my recovering brother-in-law to visit my, then, hospitalized sister. After bidding my sister good morning, I would quickly get downstairs to grab that brew! The fragrant coffee/espresso aromas were like a «head slap» to me as I’d pass by or while standing in line behind others. The taste of their fresh brewed coffee was sublime, rich and smooth. I didn’t get their special or flavored coffees. Service was always friendly and quick. Of course, once I had downed some coffee, I’d return to sit and visit with my sister! #319

Don’t like going into hospitals but the one(probably the ONLY) bright spot in these ordeals is this coffee kiosk. The friendly barista always accommodates my request of having my hot coffee drinkable at a reasonable temp! His positive attitude(never fails, he replies to my request«that’s how coffee should be served!») and easy demeanor takes the dread out of these medical visits. I LUVTHISPLACE!!!

who said hospital food isn’t good?! don’t let this little coffee cart fool you — it offers great food and coffee at a spectacular price. michelle and élan are the owners and they put a lot of work into it. they get to know their regulars, and the regulars know them. it’s hard not to — they’re friendly and kind. they have a full coffee menu, variety of teas, granitas, thai coffee, and soda. i love the half and half — it’s half mocha granita mixed with half of iced thai coffee. even if you want a black coffee, this is made right from the beans when you order it. no coffee pot, no stainless steel container that they pump it out of. it’s legit coffee. they offer freshly made paninis — from portabello to turkey-cheese to chicken meatball to reubens. the foccaccia is fresh, the servings generous! they also have croissant sandwiches and tuna melts. they also make curry chicken sandwiches, chicken & cranberry sandwiches, and chicken burritos — all prepared fresh! if this wasn’t enough, they make fresh salads — chicken cobb, southwest chicken, spring greens — all with homemade dressings. no store bought anything. this is all prepared by michelle and élan every morning. so rethink hospital food when you hit this kaiser up!

Location: There coffee cart is located next to the front entrance. You can’t miss it! Food/Drinks: I’m on an iced white chocolate latte kick so I ordered their iced white chocolate. I was not disappointed. There regular coffee drinks have a shot of expresso in it. Win! I like my coffee iced and strong. I spend around $ 4 for my cup of joe which is the average priced for coffee drinks. I also ordered their turkey pesto panini. It was delicious. I paid around $ 6 for it which is roughly how much I paid in the past for something similar. I would definitely recommend trying their ice coffee and paninis. It’s a good alternative to the hospital’s cafeteria.

Breakfast of champions at Kaiser Moanalua! The coffee cart in front is a family business that’s been around for over two decades, its current owners just renewing their deal with Kaiser for another three years. The spam musubi came highly recommended by my friend @toddk968, and runs out fast. It’s got a dash of barbecue sauce, which is a nice twist… and it definitely beats the brown rice tainted spam musubi available at Sunrise Café inside the hospital. And the coffee drinks, both hot and cold, are a welcome treat on an early morning.

I love love LOVE Paradise Isle Espresso Co!!! I am not a huge coffee drinker at all but when I do crave the caffeine I make my way to this coffee cart located in front of Kaiser hospital. They are so much better than starbucks not once have I ever not liked a drink from them in 3 years I have been coming to them. They take the time to to get to know their customers not just by face but by name and what they normally order it’s great service that really doesn’t exists with big name coffee chains. The hot dogs OMG, Panini’s OMG Michelle you go over board with those they are amazing!

Paradise Isle Espresso apparently participates with , a website that uses unethical marketing practices. I live in Illinois, but I keep getting texts from telling me that I spent $ 6.50 at Paradise Isle Espresso and that I should sign up for their service. I’ve never been to Hawaii, I’ve never given squareup or Paradise Isle my phone number, yet I still get phishing texts? I can’t boycott Paradise Isle for allowing their name to be used by for nefarious purposes, but I can give them a one star rating on Unilocal.Maybe someone somewhere will get the message…

Extremely friendly staff. Élan and his wife Michelle take the time to know you on a personal level. They offer a variety of drinks, hot, cold, and slushes. The hot dog they sell beats Costco or any other hot dog I have ever tasted. They also sell paninis and makes for a good meal if you are at the hospital all day.
