Not sure why they let these Micronisan girls cook. They basically drowned the meat and fish in Shoyu sugar sauce. The 1st time I went there they had a Japanese cook. Not going there again!!!

Sato No Udon has been open for months! But to be honest it fell off my food radar after I read the words«Cold Udon» on the menu board. I’ve been holding memories of hot udon soup close to my heart recently and the idea of cold noodles was just did not seem right. In fact, I re-read that menu several times to see if there was an option for hot udon. Nope, it’s cold udon… ewwww. Open mind: Clearly I don’t know everything. I don’t know what prompted me to try out the cold udon today. The cold udon is great! Location: Shirokiya, Yataimura Food court on the second floor. Close to the bar and at the end near Godmother’s Pasta. Menu: Two items mostly. First, the rice bowls with salmon, chicken, pork and egg. Second, the cold udon with vegetables, fish cake and sesame sauce. So what I ordered was the #11 Salad Udon. It had lettuce, asparagus, onion, corn, tomato, cold udon, sesame sauce and cucumber. This was very good. I was pleasantly surprised. It was also carefully and artistically prepared. I’m going to be getting this cold udon again. I’m going with 5 Stars on this item. To be honest, I didn’t try the rice bowls. So perhaps 5 stars over all may not be fair. Service: Pleasant and helpful. Udon came out in just a few minutes. 5 Star Service too. Vegetarian/Vegan: The rice bowls have no vegetarian option. But most of the cold udons are vegan or can be made so by leaving off the fish cake.
