Pros: — Located in Waikiki — Spacious one-bed room — On-site parking Cons: — No A/C — Old building — Parking lot is too dark — Too much noise from the outside/street/bars/etc — Trash chute is usually too full

This apartment building is in a great location. The people that live here are working professionals that enjoy the simple life. There is a nice lobby where you can sit and enjoy a book from their mini library. There is also an area where you can BBQ with nice picnic tables. The pool is small but nice for a casual swim or simply lounge on one of the chaise lounge chairs. The building is positioned just right that the trade winds are constantly flowing. No need for AC. The best part is that you are right in the middle of Waikiki with an easy five minute stroll to the beautiful beaches of Waikiki. There is a plethora of shopping, restaurants, bars and entertainment just outside your door. The good thing is when you come back home, the building is positioned far enough away from the crazy crowds of Kuhio and Kalakaua!

I read the reviews before leasing a unit at Seaside Towers as temporary housing while I find a larger home for my family. Charles’ review convinced me that I should go for it. I didn’t want a vacation rental. I wanted something in Waikiki where I could walk to the beach or to restaurants but away from the main strip. This is my home for the next 2 months. I think if people go into this eyes wide open, it’s perfectly fine. It’s a no frills kind of place. There’s a pool and grill area, but that’s pretty much it. I rarely hear my neighbors, the people I see in the lobby and elevator are all very friendly. There is no AC, but the tradewinds bring plenty of nice breezes. My unit has a washer and dryer in the unit, which is really nice. I’m not sure what the big deal is about the sirens. If you stay in any urban area, you have to deal with it. I don’t think I’ve heard any of the screaming and fightening that was referenced either. All in all, I like it here. If I didn’t have my two kids joining me, I would probably go long term in one of the remodeled units.

Just as a follow up on the 2 previous reviews: First of all, Seaside Towers is not a vacation rental building, so if you were in Hawaii on vacation, you shouldn’t have been staying at Seaside Towers in the first place. It is just unfortunate that you two weren’t caught while you were there, so that perhaps management could have kicked your complaining, whiny, unappreciative butts to the street. Seaside Towers is a residential building where 126 largely happy apartment dwellers spend their lives. Apartment dwellers who don’t want or need your opinions and who don’t want you bringing your BS attitudes into the building. You did get 1 thing right — you should have stayed home — because we sure as heck don’t want you at Seaside Towers.

I second Jim B… This is Seaside Slum. Do yourself a favor! Stay home, hit the tanning bed and make yourself a Mai Tai.
