Horrible. There was a recall on my airbags. They removed the airbags and told me they would give me a call when the new bags came in. After calling on a monthly basis and 10 months later, they told me I could make an appointment for the installation. I made the appointment and showed up early for it. I get there and the guy tells me, «We had a lot of walk-in’s this morning. The wait is about 2 ½−3 hours.» Excuse me, so what is the point in me making an appointment? You’re basically telling me that my time does not matter at all. If I could, I would give them negative stars. Unfortunately, Unilocal does not allow that. Seriously disappointed as Servco in Kaneohe has great service.

May 9, 2015, no one from Servco Toyota cares, from management, sales to service. And all us dummies keep buying from these «monopolized» business. We continue to get upset, mad, frustrated to reach that boiling point. How can we continue to deal with these people. Monopolized in the Servco Toyota dealership that even people shipping their Toyotas, Scions, Subarus can’t even get their warranty honored here in Hawaii before going through Servcos bureaucratic process to get their vehicles repaired under Toyota warranties.
A true example of this B.S.; had a 2000 4runner, loved it, took us everywhere. Had over 130,000 plus miles, great SUV, but with that said, Servco Service tops the scale, 4 to 5 weeks of wait while my SUV sits in their lot before my vehicle could be looked at, why couldn’t drive it as we lost our brakes completely when parking in front of my home in Saltlake, yup, no brakes, nearest repair down the street in Mapunapuna, they couldn’t take it for repairs. Why? The true fact is that Servco is only about the money «SALES», and with that said, take a tour of their mini-​sized service department. And yes, to all you new car shoppers, don’t get fooled by the sales person, their great, but after that sales, you are on your own to deal with the extremely poor service department. Keep in mind with all of the Servco Dealerships, everyone has the same problem in servicing the customers new purchased vehicle. It probably happens to other dealerships as well but to be told 4 – 5 weeks before you get your car looked at, it’s hell, no car to get around.
To top this, warned my kid brother but he really wanted a new Toyota Tundra in November 2014, paid $ 40,000.00 with a notice to bring in to update the software not even a month or so after and with that they damaged the aluminum rim on the vehicle. How’s that, brand new, to top this, the shifter handle cracked, and was told it would only take a day, well it was left in their lot for a week and a day. How’s that for service on an investment of $ 40K. Service sucks but when you think about it, it’s not the service writers fault, think!, it’s Servco Management that should get off their butts and put their heads together and increase, enlarge their service department so complaints on Unilocal and the «word of mouth» in complaints go down. How hard is that to increase the size of every service department throughout Hawaii if the want to «Monopolize» the Toyota business.
And to top this all, remember my 2000 4runner, it needed tires, well, we’ve been customers at «Servcos» Rex Tires when they were located in Mapunapuna where their Toyota dealership sits on today, subsequently they moved several times finally located off of Sand Island. We’ve bought tires from back when up until 2014. Can’t buy Toyo Tires from RexTires since it was «bought out» by Subaru (A Servco a Dealership) now for «any Toyota» vehicle. What’s up with that? Yes, it’s true, you can buy Toyo Tires for all other makes but not for a «Toyota». How ridiculous is that, we needed to replace our worn Toyo Tires we purchased from Rex Tire a while back, but because Subaru owns the former Rex Tire, «us Toyota» owners can no longer purchase the same Toyo Tires for the 4runner from «them», we were referred to another Toyo Tire dealer. So upset with the service department and with Subaru Tires, we no longer own a Toyota. Not worth the stress and all the headaches dealing with the Servco Toyota dealerships, they all have the same service department problems, service department too small, under staffed, monopolized from way back then. Think about it, you can have several Chevy, Ford, Nissan, Mazda, Dodge, Honda dealerships but only one Servco who monopolizes Toyota, Subaru, Scion for the Hawaii.

Dana at Servco Mapunapuna is the best. She did what ever she could and even went out of her way to get me the truck I wanted.

We recently purchased a 2015 Scion. It was a very pleasant and positive experience. Their sales consultant Colin Kau was very professional and informative, answering all of our questions. .After the test drive, we were «sold» and made the purchase that very same day. The ensuing follow up has been great. as promised.we just picked up our license plates and registration papers. There was no staff to put the plates on… Colin grabbed the wrench/​tool and put both plates on himself. We highly recommend Servco Mapunapuna if you are looking for a new car (Scion) and ask for Sales Consultant Colin Kau… he was great !!!

The customer service and «servco» name are crap.
our check engine light and the break system lights both went on and so we took it to servco because it supposed to be under warranty.
Told us they couldn’t take a look at our car for two weeks but that we should leave it with them anyway. Needless to say that we were down one car for over two weeks. These are peoples lives they are affecting but they don’t seem to care. They said they’d call us with updates multiple times and never did. We tried calling and nobody returned our phone calls. The customer service people were sassy. After waiting two weeks they told us that it would 500 dollars because the sensor was not under warranty. After all of that they ended up covering the sensor and we picked it up and began to drive within ten minutes of leaving the lights both turned back so we had left our car there for two weeks for nothing. I would never buy a car from them again simply because they don’t care enough to treat people the right way. They believe that people are just going to buy their cars no matter what so why should they treat you well after you’ve bought it? Please read this and understand the kind of company you are dealing with before you buy a car from them.

I just read a review of Servco Leeward and it just got me all worked up. I’ve been screwed by Servco Mapunapuna service personnel 3 times since 1996. I love Toyota and I’m going to buy another one eventually. But I’ll be shipping it in from the Mainland and getting the servicing done by Ford if I have to. I refuse to give Servco another cent.
First incident:
After buying a new 1996 Toyota Camry LE V6, I went in for the first servicing. When I got the car back, my acceleration was stunted. It was as if they restricted the air intake with some extra filter. Perhaps hoping I’ll come back and ask them to fix it. I didn’t go back.
Second incident:
In 1999, a head gasket had to be replaced on my 1996 Camry. Black smoke was pouring from my hood and out of my exhaust. Brought it into Servco and they told me I had to buy the entire gasket kit. Okay. On the invoice it showed something like 18 pieces in the kit, which came with multiple gaskets. On the work log, only one gasket was used. So where’s the rest of it? Apparently, that’s how they restock THEIR Parts Department.
Final incident:
In 2010, I brought my 2005 4Runner in because I had a seized engine. I can’t remember the jackass’s name, but needless to say he tried to scam me so he could make a huge commission.
I first brought the car into my regular mechanics (Fastlane Auto), but they had a hard time reading the computer. They thought my computer had crapped out. Oh great. So they told me I HAD to go to Servco. Took it into Servco and they did a troubleshoot. Computer was fine, but I had sludge build up all through my engine. And because some of the oil ports are as small as 0.002″, I NEED to buy another engine. Now I’m a submarine mechanic at Pearl Harbor, so I know how small 0.002″ is. And I know what sludge can do to ports that small, but I was looking at a $ 4,000 quote for a rebuilt engine out of Texas. That didn’t include labor cost.
So during the night, I called back my mechanics at Fastlane Auto, talked to some automotive mechanic friends and did some research on the internet. As a last ditch resort Fastlane Auto said to try flushing the engine with Seafoam and some other products. My friends agreed that it was good idea, so I went back to Servco to tow my SUV back to the other garage.
As I’m paying the bill for the Servco diagnostic, the jackass service guy is still trying to talk me into buying the rebuilt motor. I finally tell him «Look. I’m going to have my engine flushed and see if the sludge problem will be corrected. As a last resort.» He then has the frickin’ nerve to tell me «Oh yeah. That’s a good idea. We could have done that.» I was so angry and in such shock I couldn’t even speak. When was this donkey fart gonna say something? I just paid the bill and gave him the «bird.»
The next day Fastlane Auto calls me and tells me the flush worked. My 4Runner is fine. How much did it cost me? $ 360 and a tip.

I’ve been on Unilocal for a while and I’ve seen people hold out on typing out an amazing review for their 100^th and 200^th reviews and so on. I wanted to take that idea and flip it on it’s ass to type out a review on the one of the most horrible experiences ever.

Alright, so it starts off at the Service Dept. at Servco Mapunapuna. My girlfriend had made an appointment at 9am on a Monday morning to have someone look at her car to assess a vibration in the engine. Our service agent, Jeff, said he’d call us between 1p and 4p to let us know what he finds out. Cool.
We get a call later on Monday at about 5p and Jeff let’s us know that they weren’t able to find out what happened to her car because, «they ran out of time.» He also stated that the technician would like to try in the morning and that he would get back to me Tuesday morning.
Okay, this is somewhat of an inconvenience but whatever. What’s the point of making an appointment anyway if they don’t allow ample time for their customers?
So Tuesday morning comes and goes and in fact, most of the afternoon does as well. I don’t get a call from Jeff until 5p on Tuesday. FIVE IN THE AFTERNOON. He tells us that the motor mounts need to be changed and some belt as well. He couldn’t tell us how much it would cost because, «their systems were down.»
So again, we have to leave the car at Servco. Again, Jeff tells me that he’d call us the next morning with the price quotes.
I don’t hear from him on Wednesday morning. I had a missed call at 2p that day. Let me tell you guys this: getting in contact with this guy is impossible. I had a total of FOURTEEN calls to his phone in an attempt to contact him back to talk to him about the car. When I finally get to talk to him, he tells me it’ll be $ 900 for parts and $ 600 for labor. Oh, and the parts were out of stock anyways. What the efffffff!!!
We obviously didn’t have that kind of money lying around so I asked him what would be the most important thing to fix first. Jeff tells me that he would have to call me back in a couple of minutes.
Bullshit.
He calls me back thirty one minutes later only to tell me that he cannot answer my question because the technician not only left early but he took his notes home with him. I don’t even know if this is allowed. What happens if he got into an accident on the way home? Or if he had a heart attack? All the notes for his clients would be with him and not with Servco.
Jeff tells me that would call me back again Thursday morning with an answer to my question. At this point, it’s already passed ridiculous. It’ll be four days without that car and they don’t even have the means to fix it. This ordeal has already been a huge inconvenience to us. We both have full time jobs and she has full time school.
When we picked up the car, Jeff waived the $ 120 fee and apologized but we were already disgusted. I took the car to Kuroda Radiator and they had it fixed in a day for under $ 500. That’s parts, labor and tax.
Servco, you are such a damn ripoff.

The employees that operate the parts department need to take classes in customer service! They just can’t seem to provide decent service. They are just plain rude! I can’t believe I bought a toyota to be treated this way. Had I known this, I would have really reconsidered buying a toyota.

I am a diehard Toyota fan but I’m afraid if I had to buy another car in Hawaii it would have to a Honda.
I did get semi-​smart on my last purchase. The wife wanted a Sienna and we worked hard with Servco for a decent price. We were willing to pay $ 1000 more than mainland sticker prices but they remained $ 70 short of my target price. They don’t bargain and claim their prices are fixed. I contacted a broker in S California and who got us the exact vehicle we wanted and after paying Matson for shipping we saved $ 1100 over Servco’s best price. When we picked up the Sienna at the docks it was perfect and had 3 miles on the odometer!
Where I wasn’t too smart was when I let Servco service it. After a few years the Sienna had an alignment problem I took it to Servco. At 4 PM they called me and said their alignment computer was not working properly and could we keep it for an extra day. I told them I had an urgent need for it that evening. At 5:30 PM they called and said they completed the alignment.
The following weekend I had the tires rotated and within the two months the front tires began to wear on the inside, just like the other two. There was little evidence they did any alignment.
Recently I had a problem with the air conditioner working intermittantly. I talked to Servco about and they said it could be dozen things and I could be potentially looking at more than $ 1000. I then Googled the problem and learned nearly everyone with a 2005 Sienna had the same problem and it required a replacement of a $ 15 relay. I bought the part from Servco and attempted to remove the old one and plug in the new one. Anyone can do it. However I had a tough time pulling it out of the fuse box and stupidly used my key for leverage. BAM! I belew the primary fuse in the fuse box. YES very stupid! I had zero electrical, no gauges, couldn’t open the windows, lock the doors and turn on any lights. The transmission wouldn’t even go into gear.
Servco was nearby and I was able to drive it to them after learning about the automatic transmission shifter override button. I limped in to Servco Mapunapuna figuring they could replace it in a few minutes. They give me an appointment nearly four weeks away. Long story short $ 600+ and two weeks later I got the vehicle back. Everyday they gave me a different story about how severely destroyed the electrical system is however I had already showed them the primary fuse link and that it clearly appeared blown under the plastic cover that I didn’t know how to remove. I Googled the problem and many owners had the very same issue that is often caused by children shoving metal objects in the cigarette lighter plug. Everyone else seemed to be able to replace it themselves or pay very little to have it replaced. I had to rent a car (Servco set me with a special at $ 42/​day) and then pay them a fortune for letting my Sienna sit in their parking lot for two weeks while them gave me a different and contradictory BS story every day.
Here’s the rules:
1. Don’t buy a Toyota in Hawaii. Servco is a monpoly, the only Toyota dealership in the state and they are unscrupulous. If you must buy in Hawaii think about a Honda in which there are dealers competing with each other.
2. Buy your Toyota on the mainland and have it shipped. There’s more hassles with getting it registered and taxes but you’ll save a bundle. If you buy your Toyota on the mainland, NEVER let Servco service it. They can tell from the VIN where you bought it and they’ll recoup their losses and then some.
3. If you get your Toyota serviced at Servco understand that you will get well groomed professionally trained service specialists who will treat you with courteous and respect while you wait in their shiny clean waiting room with large screen TV — AND you will pay TOP DOLLAR. Get estimates elsewhere first.

These guys absolutely SUCK! Had a minor problem with my Toyota back in October and called for an appointment. They couldn’t take us for FOUR WEEKS. Take it in four weeks later and they didn’t have the part needed to fix it and said they had to order it and sent us on our way saying they’d call us. NEVER heard from them despite numerous follow-​up calls.
Finally got a hold of them in January (3 months after we first had a problem). They never ordered the part and told us they’ll get back to us in a few days. Two weeks go by after numerous attempts to get a hold of them. Turns out there is no part. We need to turn our car in to them for two weeks for them to take out the defective part and send it back to the factory to be worked on (since we have an older model). And of course, the soonest they can take our car in is in 4 weeks.
We drop our car off tomorrow. I truly hope we get our car back in two weeks as they stated.
Avoid doing business with these people if at all possible. My car’s had a problem since October 2010. This is February 2011. Their service is untimely, they do not return your phone calls. You need to hound and stay on top of them. Imagine if my car had a serious problem. I’d have been screwed for nearly 5 months.
Avoid. They suck.

It was a great experience. Everyone was very helpful. We got a toyota tacoma prerunner 2010. For a very good price. I highly recommend this dealership!

purchased my toyota from servco 2 years ago with a 3 year warranty… unfortunately, i should have purchased a Honda (there are 3 honda dealers on the island. and they all fight for your business). the after service from servco is notoriously bad on the island. being that they have no competition. i brought my car in for a faulty battery and they said that it wasnt under warranty. so i paid… only to find out that it was under warranty after speaking with my salesman. so i waited for a check for over 3 weeks… it really put a cramp on my shopping money =(
