My cousin was shopping for her mom’s birthday which is coming up. Shhh. My other cousin ended up coming back and buying a necklace for his «girlfriend».
On a tight budget, this may be the place to shop for your loved one and their jewelry were nice too! I almost wanted to get myself something. Oh and when it comes to rings… make sure you know their size! The cases are sectioned off by that.
The saleswoman that first helped us was nice and friendly. I thought that seeing a bunch of «kids» might’ve made her not help us.
iDcard works here but they take the higher discount.

Silver Rhino is a small jewelry shop with some very cute pieces! They carry watches, pendants, bracelets, earrings, rings, etc. and try to cater to both men and women.
I’ve been here several times and visited recently to browse for a friend’s birthday present. The salesperson was extremely helpful without being pushy. Ended up choosing a lovely star pendant with silver chain, and hoped for the best. The birthday girl really liked it so Silver Rhino did not let me down! =)
Best part is, if you have the iD card, you get 25% off sterling silver and stainless steel jewelry, 10−20% off select watches, and 10% Affliction clothing. Happy shopping!

Great store and great associates – especially Kristin. I don’t buy a lot of jewelry but when I decide a want something, it is helpful to be able to go into the store, ask for it and be shown what is doable for my request. For example today I wanted a a silver ankle bracelet. I was shown several gauges of chain and then helped to determine the proper length. Kristin had me come back in an hour and almost like magic, she had my ankle bracelet even though it had to be cut from a larger chain and have rings and clasps added. She even remembered my last purchase from several months ago – an unexpected level of customer care.

Knocking around Ala Moana looking for jewelry is NOT my routine kind of thing to do! However, I am impossibly patient with my shopping companion who gets an itch to «go on a MISSION» to find WHAT she wants… WHEN she wants (she’s big on instant gratification… in a good way!).
On this day we are looking for rings, bracelets with beads…(better than the «Shoe Missions» i suppose… like I said… infinite patience…). We hit some of the usual suspects, LV, Cartier, Nordie’s, Tiffany’s (passed on Harry Winston… this was a just a whim afterall!)…Then starting throwing glances at some other stores that we don’t often frequent, smaller stores, kiosks etc…
A good couple of hours later, and a brief much needed pit stop at the Apple store (wireless iPad keyboard! yay!)…it was back to bric a brac shopping!
I suppose it was the name that stopped us «Silver Rhino»…and She asks: «Do you think they only sell silver things?» Me: «i dunno, let’s find out!»
AHA! They had a fun, cool collection of exactly the kind of whimsical jewelry we were in the mood for! Rings, beaded bracelets, men, women, and unisex. The assortment was a Magpie heaven! The clutter of so many cases and crowding of the products, gave way to the «excitement of the find» …“Look! Look over here!” kind of childlike discovery as one unusual design after another was uncovered. This store was fun!
The sales girl «Stacie» was up beat and very helpful. While she did constantly bring things out for us to «look at», talked about pricing and sales… she was polite enough and so knowledgeable of the inventory, that I got much more of the Nordstrom Service experience than «pushy» or «overselling»…Not cloying, cutesy, or trying to guilt us into purchasing anything at all.
We did end up with a nice bracelet, at a great price, and a new cool place to find something «different» for our friends, our family, and ourselves!!! Thanks Silver Rhino!!!

I didn’t really care much for the jewelry they had for women. I was looking for a nice necklace for myself and found nothing to my liking. I noticed that they have a wide selection of rings, but I was hoping they would have the same size selection of necklaces and bracelets too.
The reason for my low rating is because the saleswoman wouldn’t leave me alone! I understand that she was trying to make a sale, but I was just trying to look and she kept telling me about their sale, asking me if I see something, taking things out of the case that I wasn’t even looking at and showing them to me, quoting the prices on the pieces, the list goes on! I thought it was pretty cool that they do engraving ($ 15?) and I was thinking of going back to get something for a friend, but I’m too scared of that saleswoman…

Horrible place to go! I would rate them zero stars, but I can’t. After 2 weeks of wearing a ring, the jewel popped out and when we brought it back, they said that they can’t exchange it and that we would have to get it fixed and pay for it. They wouldn’t let us return it either because it was «worn»… Duh! Of course you wear a ring! She said that it would take a week for the jeweler to fix it and it took almost 2 weeks. No call… nothing… when we finally called them, they said they had Tue ring and it was ready. Thanks for the call? The ring now had a missing prong, jewel was loose and 2 other prongs were cracked.
DON’T BUY FROM THEM UNLESS YOU WANT TO WASTE MONEY!

Jim Mortimer runs this shop and has for the last decade, it’s a really cool heavy on the blue store front. You can’t miss it! I’ve never seen anything quite like their store front actually.
This is the place to get Ed Hardy, TapouT, and Phosphor watches.
They do some other fun lines you won’t find a lot of in Hawaii.
They also have Affliction shirts for all you meat heads who like tight shirts.
My girlfriend really liked the Emma Forte gothy line– I thought it was cool but like Tarina Tarantino much better.
Jim is the guy that I’m going to probably go to later for my engagement ring, band and all. I trust him and his family to take care of me when I’m in beautiful 83 degree Hawaii.
It’s good for the locals and the tourists, and he’s got an army of cute girls who works there too to boot!: P
