Hospitals gives me that uneasy feeling, ever since I have had a few experiences, where one relative’s visit turned out to be their last day ever. I bet that’s how it is on occasion. With that said, I was referred here to St. Francis Medical Center recently for an X-Ray by my primary care provider. Thankfully, X-Ray sessions do not require fixed appointments, so I just walked in, presented my driver’s license, my medical insurance, and filled out the necessary paperwork involved. The experience was very quick to my surprise, lasting at most 20 minutes from walk in and the x-Ray session. St. Francis medial complex is located at 2230 Liliha Street, which is surprisingly further than I thought. The complex is serviced by bus route #13 and have their own parking garage, but it’s paid parking with additional fees. St. Francis medical complex felt like a private hotel complex when I entered, but it surely wasn’t. The medical doctors’ offices were adjacent to the parking garage, whereas the actual hospital is aptly labeled as 2230. I needed to go to the radiology department, which was at suite 106, which was really easy to see, as its visible upon entering the building. The waiting area was almost empty when I entered around lunch time. It was clean and just had that vibe of concern, nervousness, uneasiness, and blah. It wasn’t one of those places you want to go to, if you do have to. The lady who did my in-take information was pleasant and professional about the ordeal. She even updated me on my insurance card, since it was outdated, by looking me up and giving me the updated information. Stellar! The actual X-ray procedure was quite fast. I had a male nurse for the procedure, which was basically taking photos of my insides. Thought that was cool. Doing this kind of thing during your lunch hour instead of hitting up restaurants gives the new meaning of just priorities and there is certainly not enough hours during the day to everything. The male nurse was prompt and very professional. It was interesting to be moved around for the camera in a hospital setting to get the perfect shot for the X-ray, but truth be told, it was a good experience. It was one of those things, where medical services are available and a necessity, its good to have it here at the St. Francis medical complex. It’s pretty close to where I am currently working and also where my primary care provider’s office is on Liliha Street, so it’s a good fit for me whenever I need to come to a hospital to get tests and evaluations done. Support local! B+

This place has been a bit of a ghost town since HMC bankrupted. But the doctor offices are still up for business. Parking is alright. There are 15min parking spots you can use if you need to go to the credit union or just say hello to your doctor. Otherwise, you need to park in the structure. I like the breeze that always blows up here.

Dropped up and picked up my dad. I had to be the driver today since whatever they did to him they had to have someone else drive. Once my dad was done with his appointment, a nurse or worker called me up and said he was ready for pick up. Ha-ha. I parked at the structure since I didn’t know where else I could’ve gone. Found some stalls on the ground floor. The walkways are a little confusing or takes too much time. Just watch out when you walk on the driveways! Took the elevators up. I was lost for a bit but eventually found the room. Signed my dad out. Parking validated. Free!
