If I could give this 0 starts, I would! The service here is basically non existent! I swear I’ve been waiting more than 20 minutes to check out, the bartender is no where to be found and it’s not even busy in here! My goodness. Please step up your service because this is totally unacceptable!

TJ’s is located near the very busy intersection of Kapiolani Blvd & King Street. The parking lot is most easily accessed from King Street in my opinion. A bar near downtown with parking?! I HAD to check this place out for Pau Hana! After work on a Thursday, our group of 7 headed to TJ’s and self-seated ourselves on two round tables with bar stools that was perfectly situated between the 3 Billiards tables and 6 dart boards. It took a while, but eventually the waitress came to take our order. We order mozzarella sticks, onions fries, garlic fries and tofu salad but honestly, we were there to DRINK! Mozzarella sticks were a whopping $ 10 for about 5 or 6 pieces but they were HUGE and delicious, made with real cheese! We were there during«happy hour» which the drinks were supposed .50 cents off but I have no idea what the bill break down was. We ordered about 6 rounds of shots and I had 1 screw driver and 2 redbull + vodka, they don’t skimp on their alcohol. My screw driver was more like, do you want a splash of orange juice with your vodka?! I thoroughly enjoyed it! We played several rounds of Billiards for only $ 1 a game. My only gripe with that was that our table kept eating the balls when we started a new game so we had to grab a staff member to open up the table to get our missing ball. Then we moved on to darts which was $ 2 a game, where we played the middle machine and realized it was eating our dollar bills. It wasn’t until one of the regulars said«Ey, I think that’s the broken one» did we contact a staff member for a refund and moved one dart board over. Service was slow though the waitress let us know from the beginning that they were understaffed that evening. The other side of TJ’s had many people sitting in the booths and at the bar but the booths looked dirty and were cramped hence we opted for the round tables. They have clean, indoor women’s & men’s restrooms which is nice and therefore I never had to wait in line! I swear, if it weren’t for the slow service, dirty booth & pricey food, I would be a regular here. It’s still a good pau hana spot with a group once in a while. I honestly couldn’t tell you how we were billed because we just ran a card, but next time I will ask for a receipt. 3.5 hours later & $ 200 poorer, we jumped in our cars in the convenient private parking lot and headed home since after all, it was only Thursday and we still had Friday to survive.

Went there for happy hour. Decided to give it another chance since our last experience wasn’t so great. We found a table no problem, but they’re really understaffed. It took 20 minutes for the one and only waitress to take our drink order, and another 15 minutes just to get our drink. We finished the one drink and decided to go elsewhere. Had to even go to the bar to pay the tab rather than wait. It’s sad because we used to really like this place before.

Great hidden little gem. Hamburger, crispy crinkle fries, and Caesar salad were delicious. Hamburger was so flavorful! Taylor was a great server. Drinks were never empty, made sure we had everything we needed. Will definitely return next time we’re in the area.

My favorite bar of all time!!! It’s funny because I was never a bar person. I preferred clubs but now I don’t haha. They make the best drinks and food. Sara the owner is such a fun and sweet person. She picks the right ladies to work there too. Oh and hands down the BEST oyster shooters!

I should probably start off with HORRIBLE service. Maybe it was a bad idea that we had chose a night that a ufc fight was being shown. Unfortunately we had no choice seeing as we were only there due to the high demand for booths for the showing. When we arrived with a small part of our group there was really nobody to ask about our reservations. Mind you we did have one made prior to our arrival. We go in ask someone about it, and come to find out they gave our table away to people who were there for the fights. It took us almost an hour for our table to clear… Which to me is b/s if you make a reservation you’d expect to be received at the time you had booked it. But wth its a bar right? As more of our friends start to flow in still No service. The girls were so busy going back and forth it took over an hour to get our simple drink & food orders. We were there for a good 4 hours and got only part of our orders. The only good thing I have to say about this place is at least the girls were decently nice. Other then that. Wouldn’t come back.

It’s 11:33 pm, December 12th. I just left Tj’s where my cousin is hosting her going away party and its amazing that this place is still in business. The service that my family and I received has left me appalled. An hour for DRINKS, lost and forgotten change, do they even serve food? IDK because we never got any(with the exception of fries that took an hour to come out), bartenders that don’t even acknowledge your presence, and a whole spew of things that went wrong. This was honestly the worst experience I’ve ever had at a bar, so bad that I actually signed up for a Unilocal account in hopes that someone in charge of that joke of an establishment does something productive.

This is a neat place. It is very clean and roomy with lots and lots of parking. The clientele are primarily the 30’s set. Drinks and food are great and are priced below market. I ate steamed opakapaka(local white skinned fish) which was served over watercress and cilantro. Fantastic! And the French fries could serve 4 people. The owner Sarah is very personable, as well as the ladies she has working for her. This place has a very positive, laid-back vibe. Highly recommend.

First time in the other night… not bad, the pitchers of draft beer and the volume of the food ordered was surprising. The Ahi Poke filled the bowl and the fried gizzards were piled higher than high.

Whoever said the wings were great has never tasted good food in their life. I ordered the wings and the garlic fries and they tasted as if they were boiled in oil. I work hard and workout harder and the times I choose to have fried food I expected it to be worth the calories. This food was by far the worst wing and fry combo I ever tasted. I could see sport bar but not grill it should read sport bar and oil boiler in the entrance. Service was mediocre at best.

Great place for playing pool and darts. Food is surprisingly good. My favorites are the fried chicken wings and the Ahi poke. The fresh tuna they use is sashimi grade. Probably the best I’ve tried on the island. Don’t believe? Try it yourself

A pretty good hang out, nice AC and chill atmosphere. Good service by Lexy, love her! The drink prices are reasonable and they always have a game on.

I met with co-workers there this past Sunday for a fantasy football draft. We got there at 2pm and the place was empty. I looked around and saw some dart boards and pool tables. As you walk more in, there’s a bunch of booths to sit in. The bar is on the right and they have a few TV’s mounted to the walls. They had one woman working the front. She was running around taking orders, serving the food and making the drinks. My co-worker had to ask her for ice three times before she brought it. I had to ask her for my check twice before I got it. She totally forgot. She was nice though and kept coming back to our booth to see if we needed more condiments or more drinks. I was there for about 4 hours. When I left, the place was pretty packed. She was still the only person working the front. We ordered garlic fries, mozzarella sticks, soybeans, spicy fried chicken wings, calamari, mandoo and lumpia. The food was alright, nothing spectacular. The garlic fries were fried to a crisp and they loaded it with just enough garlic to make it good. The soybeans were boiled just right. It was still a little hard and not mushy. The fried chicken wings were not spicy at all. It was actually really salty and not crispy. The calamari was tender. It was those small pieces of calamari, served with cocktail sauce. I didn’t really care for the mandoo and the lumpia. They were both overly salty and the dipping sauce that it came with was not good. The mandoo was stuffed full of meat. I didn’t try the mozzarella sticks. I don’t think I’d come for the food again, especially with so many other bars serving awesome food. If you’re just looking for a place to hang with your friends and have a few drinks, then this place might be ok for you.

You know I’ve been here for years. I was a huge fan of this place. I even had my birthday twice over here. Until tonight, I just came in sat down with some company and it took almost 20 mins for someone to serve me a drink. The waitress didn’t even to bother ask everyone else if they wanted to order more drinks. The bathroom was horrible. All servers where female and the bathroom can’t be at least clean or have some toilet paper. It’s so disappointing to see how it’s been run. They don’t even have karaōke anymore. Just sad…

This was my favorite place to go now it’s DONE WATCHOUT when you go here these young staff will do anything to listen to your conversations and decide to tell their friends without getting their facts straight. They try and tell us to be more professional but I don’t see what’s professional about themselves telling stories on what they think they heard to their friends. HONESTLY if u wanna know you can just ask. I would love to tell you what our conversation was all about if that’s so important to you. I FEELLIKETHEMGIVINGOUTDRAMASISTHEIRMAINPRIORITY over their customer! This is a review that I will not delete!

So you’re looking for a place to relax with some friends. A place that isn’t all hipster, yet at the same time isnt so ghetto that you fear walking back to your car after a few drinks. Well, you may have a winner here. The good: Lots of parking! This is probably the #1 problem with most places in town. Whether it be because you are so popular and have lots of friends who need to park their cars or maybe you just have a beautiful ride that doesn’t want to sit nestled between two clunkers, there will be parking. Delicious fries! I am a huge fan of french fries. I judge alot of bars best on the quality of their nom’s. If you have fries on your menu, they better be tasty! For $ 7 you can get a heaping basket shareable with friends. Upgrade to garlic or chili for a few bucks more if you’re feeling hungry. Darts + Pool. Its nice to have something to do while drinking. Few pool tables and dart boards to keep you busy. Decent amount of space around them too so you dont feel like you might accidentally William Tell a drink out of someone’s hand with a stray dart after a few drinks. Tons of seating! Usually can always find an open booth. Friendly bouncers and staff. The bad: Service is on the slower side. Might have just been a busy night but alot of times people go without water or refills for a bit of time. I wouldnt say the service is bad, just not good :/ That’s it! It’s your standard dive bar so cant really say anything else stuck out on the negative side. Check it out, see for yourself. Have some fries :)

Good food. Great for bar grinds. Garlic everything, good selection for whatever the mood. I always eat the steak. Best drunk munchies ever! Good drinks. And it helps the bartenders are always so cute and charming. Darts and pool. I been on my dart game lately… Super friendly staff, it’s honestly always a good time. A real homey feel. I dig it. If you’re looking for a relaxed, Clean, friendly, environment then tjs the spot. An older crowd means the dramas been left outside. No testosterone overload. I def plan to be a regular.

Went to watch the UFC fight on a Saturday. Plenty free parking in the lot. $ 10 cover per person no matter when you get there once the fights begin. Older local crowd, many seem like regulars that occupy«their spot». Service was mediocre for the amount of guests. Drinks came quick, but we waited about 20 minutes for our food. Food review: Caesar Salad: fresh lettuce and good portion for $ 12, a bit heavy on the dressing so maybe ask for it on the side. Onion Rings: didn’t taste home battered, but still tasty with crisp coating, a little pricey at $ 6. Overall, not a bad bar for food and drinks, can’t at the same for quick service. I might wait a couple years to fit in better too.

TJ’s Sports Bar and Grill is conveniently located at the intersection of Kapiolani and King Street across from the former Advertiser building. There is ample free parking in the evening. I was there on a Friday night for a private party and they were a little busy. It’s kind of cool that they have a bunch of dart boards and pool tables to keep you entertained. Of course, there’s also a bunch of TVs to watch sports. The highlight of the evening was meeting Sarah, the owner of the bar. She’s definitely a wild one. She was challenging one of my friends to be squatted by her, as in he would be over her shoulders as she squats him for a few reps. Also, if you are Pidgin English challenged, you can pick up some pointers from her. Her advice was to take out the r from BRADDAH so it sounds like BADDAH. Definitely entertaining! Good times can be had here, Baddah!
