It is always a lot of fun going to new restaurants because you’re never sure what to expect. It’s even better with a bunch of friends and Unilocalers! I really enjoyed my first visit to Noi Thai. Noi Thai is a bit more upscale than I’m used to. Heavy golden menu boards, golden cuffs for napkins, and gold silverware were among the many luxuries that this restaurant offers. Our group stopped by at around 5pm to dine from the happy hour menu. It is limited to seating only on the lanai or bar area so we opted for the lanai. Service was friendly and we even got to take a tour of the restaurant. The most impressive spot was the chef’s table, which was located in the kitchen behind glass doors. Besides this, there are a few private rooms to enjoy a meal in and the general dining room. The food was delicious and varied. Each dish took a while to prepare, but I could see why. The presentations of the dishes was exquisite. I only had water to drink so I cannot comment on the drinks. It took a bit for their waiter to split up our bill. It was understandable as there were many of us. Validations for parking was available and parking is located in the Royal Hawaiian Shopping Center parking lot.
