All I can say is Chuggy Bear knows how to make an event happen! Beyond that he also knows how and where to eat. This awesome event at sikdorak featured some of the finest yakiniku cuisine around. Showing up fashionably late was a good idea since there was already meat cooking on the grill! With people from all parts of the island(11 people total!) we took over an entire table at the restaurant and ordered course after course of savory delectable meats. Nothing from the menu was left out; with a constant flow of beef, chicken, and pork it felt like out little group had consumed about 3 pigs, at least a dozen cows, and several good sized chickens. IM’A LETYOUFINISH but… with plentiful parking, voluminous amounts of food, and our BYOB this was easily ONEOFTHEBEST UYEs OFALLTIME… OFALLTIME!

Somehow, I just happened to be in the neighborhood when I noticed the wonderful smell of yakiniku. Following the aroma with my well-trained nose, I stumbled upon a super secret UYE! Just kidding, I knew about it ahead of time, but this event sure was exclusive! With only 24 hours of advanced notice, you had to be in the know to make it. With my secret, A-list invitation in hand, I arrived at Sikdorak. This once a century event just couldn’t be missed! My almighty stomach was in charge of our buffet’s consumption, and the feast was not over until I was done! I was impressed with everyone’s appetites! I’m usually the last one eating at a buffet. At this buffet, it almost seemed like the meal would not end! I sure ate enough to make even Chuck Norris envious. I really enjoyed the food and company and can’t wait until next century to eat like this again(okay, maybe sooner). Service was topnotch and Sikdorak did not hold back on their food. Being a big-time carnivore just feels so righteous sometimes.

If I had a star for every piece of meat I ate that night this would be like a 50 star review. It was nice meeting everyone, and after reading Grant’s review I’m glad I didn’t miss this centuries party, I’m also honored to be an A-List celeb, hoping to get some calls from Jessica Alba soon then. Next event, I shall plan, Shilowon, prepare for awesomeness

This impromptu event had everything that you could ask for: free parking, all you can eat Korean BBQ, BYOB alcohol from Wal-Mart, and excellent company. Dinner began at 1800 with 8 people and ended a couple of hours later with a whopping 11 people. Thankfully the table was large enough for others to squeeze in without compromising elbow room. Thanks to Patrick and the rest of the Sikdorak staff for refilling our waters and rice, swiftly and frequently changing out the grill, and giving us all the meat we could handle. Thanks to everyone who came including fellow Unilocal Elites Thomas O. and Grant S. and Gary N.(who was just in the neighborhood getting a massage.) Shout out also to Keane S. and Alfy L. And Jayson N. who probably forgot. Sikdorak, where Korean food babies are made 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Every hundred or so years comes along a super-exclusive, A-list-celebs-only event at only the finest of dining institutions. This century’s event took place Monday February 20, 2012 starting at approximately 5:45pm Hawaii Standard Time(17:45 for all you military and international folks) at the luxurious Sikdorak restaurant, 655 Samsung Plaza. Invitees were notified no more than 24 hours prior to this exclusive event by a highly personalized, professionally prepared correspondence, «hand» delivered by eCourier. In fact, even upon commencement of the event, a second hand delivered invitation reached the select group of invitees, this time with a side-note of secrecy. The«Inner Circle», as we like to call it, sat down and feasted on delicious Korean yakiniku till Gary N. called it quits. Feats of strengths are often measured in Gary’s– if you’ve seen Man Vs. Food, Adam Richman is training for the Gary N. food eating challenge; if you’ve seen World’s Strongest Man, Brian Shaw, Zydrunas Savickas, and Magnus Samuelsson all have Gary’s poster hanging in their training rooms as a source of strength. Chuck Norris lost to Gary N. in arm wrestling. Twice. The only reason the Most Interesting Man in the World hold’s that title is because the judges have determined that the sheet volume of interesting possessed by Gary N. cannot stem from Earthly origins(Gary N. is however the Most Interesting Man in the Universe, by at least 2700 Gary’s). Dinner included spicy pork, kalbi, seasoned beef, tongue, brisket, pork belly, ribeye steak, and korean chicken. Along with these fantastic meats were rice, bean sprouts, korean version of natto, red lettuce leafs, jalapeño, garlic, daikon/purple takuan, and the all important kim chee. All in all the event was a fantastic success and the turnout was amazing.
