Very convenient location for a student like myself who wants to grab a quick lunch in between classes. The workers are kind and quick and the prices aren’t that bad either! I got the al pastor burrito with guacamole and it was $ 8.50 which is a pretty good deal, I think. The burrito was very yummy, my only complaint is the tortilla wasn’t warmed so it was kind of a stiff burrito. Maybe I am a tad spoiled with my usually warmed tortillas but I think they make it a bit tastier. Other than the stiff tortilla the burrito was delicious. I got a good amount of Guac and an even amount of the rest of the ingredients. Yummy place, I would definitely go again.

Sometimes I’m just feeling really hungry between classes at school and a burrito is often the answer. For just seven dollars you can get a HUGE burrito with your choice of filling. If I’m eating a breakfast burrito, I always get chorizo. So good! I tend to come earlier for the breakfast burritos because I’d rather have the potatoes and eggs in my burrito than rice. At lunch time, though, the chicken adobo is on point. It’s all about the adobo sauce on that one– slightly spicy and smoky. Also, if you’re into spicy, definitely try the mango habanero salsa– my favorite. Food aside, the workers are always friendly, which can make a rough day at school better. The burrito would make your day, too, of course.

Positives: –convenient location –friendly and cheerful workers –good portion /filling Cons: –expensive(approx $ 10 for burrito and drink) –tasteless The location is great and the workers are so friendly and nice. The food is filling however I found it was rather tasteless every time I’ve gone and they fail to make a burrito spicy. Multiple occasions I’ve asked for my burrito to be «spicy as possible» and I could not detect any spicy flavor at all. I like the place and the idea of it but i won’t be a returning customer.

Great place to grab a quick burrito on campus. They have breakfast and lunch burritos and fresh coffee and drinks. Try the veggie sausage!

Breakfast burritos are pretty good and they have them until they run out. $ 7 for a standard lunch burrito… a little pricey but very filling burritos! Guacamole and sour cream are $ 1 extra. Usually not too long of a line and pretty quick at making the burritos– I’d recommend it for an on campus lunch.

Sometimes you just want a big fat burrito… OHYEAH! + Conveniently located(if you’re on the UH campus already) + Burritos made to order + Super friendly staff + Verde Kaimuki burritos + Also have breakfast burritos + Hot and iced coffee available OHNO! — Only open from 8 am to 2 pm on weekdays — Not convenient if your not already on campus — Small menu OHMY?! ~ Soyrizo… Well, I haven’t tried it yet, but it just sounds so… wrong… But I’ll give it a shot one day, and maybe update about it. This is probably one of the most convenient food stops on campus for me since it’s the closest one to my office. The guys working here are always friendly, and love to strike up a conversation about anything. I think it helps them get through the day since they’re pretty much imprisoned in the 10’x10’ kiosk for the whole day. But their amicability is always appreciated. For your breakfast burrito you can choose from bacon, chorizo, and something called soyrizo… I’m just going to guess that it’s chorizo made from soy instead of animal… strange… The other things in the breakfast burrito are scrambled eggs, potato. For lunch you can choose steak, carne asada, barbacoa, chicken to put in your burrito along with the Spanish rice, beans, and cheese. Just out of habit I usually just get the carnitas, but I’ve been trying some of the other options on the menu, and have been pretty satisfied overall. Maybe one of these days I’ll try the Soyrizo…

I just started grad school a few weeks ago and have been adjusting to student life on the Manoa campus. My favorite spots during undergrad have since disappeared and most of my lunchtime experiences have been disappointing until I found Verde. Their breakfast burritos are my new favorite breakfast/lunch. While the other reviews note that it isn’t as hearty, I found myself full after eating the first half. I was able to pop the other half in the lounge fridge and enjoyed the second half for lunch. The staff is very friendly and it’s always nice to support a local business(and take a much-needed break from Subway!). Thanks Verde Kaimuki!

The guys that work here are nice and they have coffee in the morning. They need to be trained on the proper way to roll a tortilla to make a burrito. The burritos fall apart every time. Watch a YouTube Video or something. The proper way to roll a tortilla into a burrito is not that hard to do if you just try to do it the right way. Also, the tortillas are never warmed which takes away from the taste of the burrito. Eating a cold tortilla does not ever taste good! I only go here when in a time crutch(all my classes are at Saunders). If you are looking for good Mexican food and a yummy burrito that you can enjoy please don’t don’t waste your time going here! If you just need to feed yourself quick and it’s convenient then the food is edible, I guess. YouTube«how to properly roll a burrito»

I normally go to the Verde on Waialae and that place is awesome, I gave that place 5 stars. Since I am a student at Shidler, I thought I should give this place a try, I was happy to hear that their breakfast burrito is $ 1 cheaper than the one on Waialae but I learned you get what you pay for. This Verde does not give you the option on what type of wrap you want, they just give you the plain one. On Waialae you get to choose from spinach or spicy tomato. Also this Verde is not very generous when it comes to stuffings. I am told I do not eat much for a guy and the burritos from the Waialae branch leaves me full for the whole day, but the burrito I received was much lighter and did not keep me full for the whole day. What disappointed me the most was that my burrito was cold, I was expecting warm potatoes and melted cheese like the one on Waialae but this one was cold and the cheese was not even melted which made it taste horrible. As far a customer service, I thought the workers were nice but it all comes down to the quality of their products and I would never buy from them again. I would rather spend a dollar more at Waialae and be much happier with what I get. I don’t understand why the standards of this branch is lower when they are owned by the same person.

Burritos are messy as hell. Drips, falls apart even though you eat it the way they recommend. Dudes working there have lame customer service.

I’d probably give these guys more stars if the burritos would stay together and/or if they would offer me a plate and a fork to eat said burrito. They were a welcome addition when they first came to campus — nice to have something other than the usual campus food to eat. I appreciate they are trying to do it more minimal but if your product falls apart or drips all over me when i’m trying to eat it, it is not successful. The burritos aren’t the worst, but they’re definitely not the best. After another dripping incident today, I won’t be back for a while.

I work near UH, and I always forget about this lunch option because it’s a little farther away than my usual on-campus spots. It’s great when I’m hankering for some chorizo and don’t feel like walking to the parking structure and driving to their main Kaimuki location. The guys who usually work behind the counter are friendly and are great at explaining the different(limited) options they have for their burritos. Their burritos are $ 7.50 but are well worth the price. They’re gigantic – stuffed with potatoes, eggs, meat, cheese, and your choice of sauces. I always have trouble finishing mine. I do wish their burritos were a tad warmer than what I’ve received so far. I tend to get my lunch after the rush, but I feel like they still need some way to warm up their burritos(or if they do have something, to use it). I went here last week with a coworker friend of mine. He pointed out that the foil they used to wrap his burrito smelled like roaches. Ew. I LOVE the main Verde Kaimuki location. I wish the kiosk was just as excellent.

People who work here are very friendly! I came here today for lunch. Located in the Saunders Hall. They were also very fast. I ordered the steak lunch burrito for $ 7.50. I’ve tried their location in Kaimuki and the flavors and quality matched up. They just have less choices here. Though a little pricey for a burrito, this is still the closest thing to a Chipotle that Hawaii has to offer in my opinion. I believe they shut down at 2pm.

This is for the UH campus location kiosk they have. I liked the BC Burrito model better(that was the previous name for their store in Kaimuki), as it was made to order(a la Chipotle). I am not sure what they do now at their main location in Kaimuki, but the one at UH does not give you any customized options on your burritos, except how you want your sauce: mild, medium or hot. At BC Burrito, I remember you could choose your own tortillas, meats, cheeses, and beans(along with add-ons). They also included shredded lettuce inside my chicken adobo burrito, which I pretty much despise in my burritos or tacos(the lettuce, not the chicken). So overall the burrito was very average. The medium picante sauce was pretty kicking though. On their simplified kiosk menu, burritos sell for $ 7(I think $.50 more than at the Kaimuki location) and you have your choice of meats. Hopefully the Verde Kaimuki mother ship provides a better operational model than the one at UH. Too bad, because I was really looking forward all week, to trying out Verde Kaimuki on campus. I guess I’m going to have to drive over to Serge’s for lunch. Still, it’s good to have around as an option.
