What the hell is going on? They appear to be closed, being all papered up as they are. How can this be?!

Wow these pizzas are gigantic! I mean really huge. I’ve never finished a whole one. They’re pretty yummy(I love the crust!) and priced pretty well. I love the fact that they are open late! Perfect for a late night snack. The owner and employees are really nice too! I saw one employee giving a leftover pizza to a homeless guy. I was pleasantly surprised.

One of the best tasting and best portioned Pizza I have had so far! Wanted to go back the next day but noticed the windows were boarded and it was chained locked and closed! I hope they did not go out of business!

i love the fact that the pizza is huge but the place was hot as in no A/C and no windows. My second complaint about the pizza that it was alright. The pizza wasn’t great and although i had pepperoni pizza the cheese wasn’t much so the bread was overbearingly chewy after 7 bites :(Would I ever go back? No. Would I recommend it? Only if you want a big 6 dollar pizza…

You’ve got to be joking… CANNEDMUSHROOMS!!! We are staying at Aqua Wave and so its conveniently located next to us so we thought we’d give it a try. Also, we ran into some guests in the elevator saying it was«good» so we were pretty excited to try it. We ordered a «mushroom» slice. WHOINTHEIRRIGHTMINDPUTSCANNEDMUSHROOMS on a pizza… Seriously!!! And you want to include«New York» in your name? What a joke. Basically, we had a gigantic canned mushroom slice where the crust was over baked(probably because they had a pre-made slice and we added topping so they grabbed their can opener and plopped on a few pieces on), sauce tasted like… oh. watered down sauce and the cheese, also something generic(no flavor, not stretchy). I mean if your gonna go into business, at least put out an honest try of something decent. Clearly the owner thinks people don’t know their pizza and can basically sell a cardboard box with some some super generic sauce and cheese and charge you $ 6.50 for it and stay in business. Think of the worst pizza you’ve ever had and know that this place is worse. I’m usually forgiving and say, maybe give it a try if you’re really in the mood for pizza… FORGETIT… SKIPTHISPLACE… I just saved you $ 6.50

The overall package was worthy of 4 stars. For whatever reason my pizza was nice and thin, but my husband’s crust was thicker and the bottom of his pizza was covered in white, still dusted with plenty of white flour. First couple of bites may require a knife and fork, but the rest of it can be held up because the crust is crisp enough. The slice is the length of the trays and for $ 5.50 a slice you’ll be satisfied. They have a lunch special for a slice w/fountain drink is just $ 6. Where can you walk near Waikiki and get a delicious cheat meal like this? It’s hot as crap in there with no AC, but the murals on the walls are pretty awesome. I thought it was going to be too good to be true, but this place earned a spot in my yummy list. It’s a small pizza joint, but there’s enough room to hang out. Free refills on soda, condiments like parmesan, chili flakes, garlic and oregano is also available. Keep it simple, pepperoni and cheese is all I needed on my pie. With good food like this, I have a feeling this place will be sticking around for some time =) Unilocal Challenge 365 #007/365

so convenient, speedy and affordable. esp 10 – 3 lunch special. jumbo slice with one topping and all you can drink for $ 6! i heard that the pizza’s weren’t that good when they first opened, but they have been much improved and I don’t see why anyone would ever order from any of the chains that around waiks anymore.

I have to give Zero’s one star for combining cheese and sauce together. A delicious combo, passed down for centuries. Another star is given for its proximity to night life and its hours. Unfortunately, that is all the pros I can give. The pizza was not good. Gross crust and dry pizza. I know I;m from NY and a bit spoiled, but I have had many slices of jumbo slice in DC and Zero’s in not comparable. Sigh, I’ll have to wait til I’m back in NYC for my delicious slice of pizza.

Great lunch special. $ 6 for a slice and a fountain drink. So you think that’s a lot is cash? Not at all when you consider the size of the slice. It is the equivalent of three normal size slices. You will not leave hungry. I gave three stars because the pizza sauce had a high amount of Rosemary in it. I’m not a big fan of high amounts of Rosemary in anything except maybe my garden. Enjoy.

Imagine a thin layer of dough tossed to perfection, based evenly with Zero’s homemade tomato sauce, then generously covered with shredded Parmesan cheese, and finally topped off with a list full of possibilities ! Zero’s Pizzeria knocked my socks off with their huge slices of new york styled pizza. It is definitely a must try ! Biggest reason why Zero’s isn’t given 5 stars: the location. I dread finding parking in Waikiki, and visiting this pizzeria on a Wednesday night instead of a weekend made no difference. After driving around looking for street parking, I finally settled to parking in a nearby motel for $ 6.00 an hour. Reasons why I’d disregard the difficult parking for Zero’s Pizzeria: — they offer a list full of toppings to add on, each costing $ 0.75 each — combo meals(salad&pizza, pizza&drink, etc.) — twitter discounts ! — open extra late on weekends !(till 4:30AM!) — GENEROUS portions now if only they’d start doing deliveries…

Probably 3 ½ Stars for the Pizza itself. This is no V Lounge, Inferno, Bob’s or JJ’s but good in it’s own right. Definitely worth a try if your in the heart of Waikiki. The Crust is crisp and cracker like, no everyones favorite style. The Sauce is flavorful with a lot Oregano blasting through. Cheese is not as heavy as we prefer but the overall size is impressive. If your hungry, in the area and need a quick large bite this is a good choice.

This place is very good. Even empty it is still new. Me and a friend of mine ordered two #2 which were 8.50 for soda, pizza and salad. The pizza coming with it is cheese, but you can pick toppings for $ 0.75 each. We waited about 5 – 7 mins n we got out order. 1st off i saw one tray and i was like ok here we are, then another tray came and i was Wowed. The pizza slice is HUGE, i mean really huge. The salad same in a cute plastic box. I expected just a regular tossed greens salad when i saw the salad had tomatoes, mushrooms onions and olives. What a surprise. And they were all really fresh. Then the big eating come. The place is right on Kuhio, quiet and nice. loved the painted wall with New York theme. I give it 5 stars because, i was surprised how good it can be. Hawaii is deeply into Asian foods or foods with Asian twist. I was really tired of Korean, Japanese and Chinese places with foods i don’t even know what they are, or just being over priced. Hawaii needs more places like that. Oh need to tell they were really friendly, the girl that worked there was smiling and really cheerful and the guy who made the pizza was nice too. They asked us if we been there before, we said no, and she politely asked us to share our opinion with her after we done eating. I mean it was a super delicious

Big slice of pizza worth the price in Waikiki. You could probably feed 2 people with a slice and world hunger with a pie. There are various topping additions such as corn and tuna mayo to kick up your slab. All it needs is a display or something to really show how massive of a deal you’re getting here.

Tried this place finally for the first time last night. I was iffy at trying this place out at first because I based it on how empty the restaurant was every day I walked by it. Last night it was between this joint or the Puka Dog 2 doors down… and this place won me over!!! My husband & I decided to order 2 #1 combos for each of us, which consists of a slice of pizza and a drink for only $ 7.25. What we didn’t realize before ordering was how HUGE this actual slice of pizza was?! It was almost as huge as the tray! So we decide to tell them that they could box up my slice of pizza to go and I shared the pizza with my husband. I’ve read the other comments of this place and there’s no way that you can even compare it to Boston’s Pizza! The slice is huge(you can share one slice with another person), the sauce was perfect and I even ate the crust(which I usually don’t even bother to eat! I gave it 4 stars because of taste and best value for your meal! If you notice the dog on the floor in one of my pictures that I’ve posted, he’s the owner’s dog who just lounges around the floor all day I’m front of the cash register. Don’t worry, he doesn’t bite, let alone even get up to sniff you! He’s such a stoner dog!

Ok here is an update! I’ve been to the Pizzeria 2 more times with friends and here is what I think: The pizza slice is now thinner, but still able to support –all– the toppings! It’s more of a SLAB of pizza than a slice. The crust is firm and crispy, yet still has some puff to it. No impotent pizza here! Toppings can be varied. I’ve had sausage twice in two formats: Beef Sausage slices(think Hillshire Farms smoked sausage in stores) and I’ve had the other more familiar sausage type. Either way, it was still good and I would think some people might be put off with alternative meat types, however, I found it novel. Sauce is what you would expect for a pizza of this style. Oregano, basil, garlic and tomato, simple and great! The last two times there was less sugar and I preferred it that way. In the end, I think these guys are geared to be the best place in Waikiki if you want some no BS pizza to chow down on. Zero’s Pizzeria is evolving and only for the better. They will be my #1 go to place for Pizza slices! I forgot to mention that ONE slice felt like eating almost half a store bought pizza! :)

Ok pizza place with huge slices. Reasonable too at under $ 6 a slice. Good texture, not overally sauced, suttle tangy sauce. Only thing was the wait took forever. Might be better to call ahead to order.

Holy pizza, Batman! Tangy sauce full of flavor? Check. Cheese everywhere? Check. Dough cooked to perfection? Check. A portion as big as my head? Double check. Don’t let the name fool you. Zero’s is anything but a zero in my book! I’ve been eagerly anticipating the opening for months and I finally got a chance to try it today. So happy I did. :) Most Oahu residents are going to compare Zero’s to Boston’s, but they are as different as Boston and NYC. Zero’s specializes in pizza by the slice, but with a distinct difference: the slices are made to order. It was a pleasant surprise to hear that they add your toppings to a cheese slice(I had fresh spinach and mushrooms) and then bake your slice. So ono! The staff was so nice and didn’t mind talking story while I waited. It’s family owned by a couple young military vets who came here just to open up this amazing little pizza shop in Waiks… They are doing a great job!
