Who serves warm bottles of sparkling San Pelligrino? This place. At least they can manage to keep coffee hot.

I’ve been here a few times over the past couple of years and it has always been great. They have their own bakery and they make amazing baked goods and pastries. I love their croissants but the star here is the blueberry scone. It is so rich and moist and not too sweet. The coffee is great and there is an abundance of comfortable seating. This is a good place to go if you want to get a feeling for the type of people who live in Hood River. I can tell a lot of locals frequent this spot.

I definitely can’t get enough of Ground’s coffee and their amazing atmosphere. I came to visit Hood River, and was looking for a local coffee shop(can’t really stand Starbucks). I’m not a person who loves super sweet drinks so the barista recommended the Americano with steamed milk. Inexpensive and super delicious I might add!

Great place to have coffee and get on the internet! Everyone is nice. You get a free refill on coffee! They have booths and tables. Convenient! Check it out! The Trainer

Let me just say, this was the first coffee shop we stopped into when we arrived in hood river and I was immediately enamored. The atmosphere is charming and the people were super helpful, plus who doesn’t love a coffee shop that also serves beer and wine?! I had the turkey and pesto panini and a peach honey kmbocha, both were delightful. Boyfriend had an ice tea and a variation of my sandwich that had prosciutto(you can take the boy out of Italy but you can’t take the Italian outta the boy). We were all very pleased!

Grounds is located right on the strip in downtown hood river, the décor is fabulous and there is a TON of seating ranging from comfy couches to cushioned window seats. They have some good snacks(cookies, cakes, muffins, etc.) And some ok sandwiches. As for their coffee… it’s mediocre… but not horrible. The service is kind of cold… you walk in they ask you what you want… they make it and you leave… it’s a very rushed feeling. My only advice(from someone who is also in the service industry) would he to warm up your customer service a little more in ALL of your staff(I visit her often because I work on the same block and need a caffeine fix every once in a while). Overall this is a cute coffee shop that just needs a little bit more Perk in its staff. Major props to whoever decorates the shop, very beautiful.

Very good ESPRESSO and mocha latte(my wife). This is in a very quaint town with upscale shops. I’d come back here again

Not bad… the atmosphere was good and the service was fine. My wife and I thought the coffee was a little bland, but that could be a personal taste. The lunch menu sounded fantastic, but we did not eat there, because we already had lunch.

Great blueberry gluten free muffin! Light, crumbly, not too sweet, chock full of large blueberries, brown crunchy crust that puffed over the paper cup holding the rest of it like a soufflé(and not like those runny batter types that don’t really get crisped and retains a soft sticky interior instead of these nicely textured crumbs). Delicious! Worthy baked item that just the memory of makes me rue the grocery gluten free flax muffins I’m use to getting on desperate occasions.

I visit more than my fair share of coffee shops– Any shop that has great basic coffee, faces the morning sun, is actually pretty hip and prominently displays artwork from the local grade school at the same time is a winner with me.

I went here and was pretty impressed! They have a mediocre gluten free pastry selection. I got a gluten free white chocolate raspberry muffin that wasn’t the best muffin I’ve ever had but its a muffin! Thats for sure! I made sure to ask if they have gluten free bread for their sandwiches– something I couldn’t figure out via any reviews here or the website and THEYDO! They have gf bread for sandwiches. I haven’t tried it but there you go– now you know. When I was there(maybe around 4:30pm) their grill was closed. Not sure what time it’s open/closed. To drink I got an ice blended kona mocha(I think thats what they called it), decaf with soy milk. I said whip was cool and didn’t get it but thats okay I think a lot of people are confused when I want soy milk but am also okay with a touch of dairy whip for fun(I get stomach aches with too much dairy but just a touch and I’m usually fine). The drink was really good! I can’t speak to their plain ol’ coffee and espresso so I’m not about to whip out any coffee snobbery here. It was a good quality blended drink though. Not watered down, good consistency and tasty. Not ridiculously sweet but sweet enough to satisfy. They had a comfy couch that I lounged on for a bit while I enjoyed my drink and the music to rest and prepare my pregnant butt for the walk back to the car. I’d give it five stars if I liked the muffin better and if they had more gf pastries. Would definitely recommend this place though. OH! And they had adorable children’s art every where. Super cute.

Ground has many non-dairy options(like, alll the milks…) and they are better at steaming them than most other places in the area. Nice selection of sandwiches(I tried one, it was good!). And, the highlight: the lavender lemonade = perfection; bold citrus flavor, not too sweet, with just the right amount of lavender. Atmosphere is airy and modern(I’d actually prefer more of a ground, as in dirt, theme — rustic and dark accented with live plants — but the cleaner, updated vibe they’ve got going is by no means bad).

We always hit this place up when we go to Hood River. It’s one of my favorite independent coffee shops, and it’s perfect! Love that they always have a smile, quick service, and a great selection of stuff for breakfast. My only complaint is that Hood River really doesn’t have a place for a little dessert after dinner, and this spot would be perfect — but they close way too early. BTW their mochas are the best I’ve ever had!

Awesome coffee shop. We always make it a stop on our way home from Hood River. The cups are HUGE and it’s always very tasty. Great staff that is always friendly!

I had a beer and a breakfast sandwich. The beer was a decent blonde ipa. But the breakfast sandwich, on a homemade bagel, was the best I have had in a long time. It had excellent bacon, a perfectly cooked egg, a flavorful tomato, and cheese. I didn’t mean to eat so much, but after eating my sandwich and finishing my wife’s, we got another homemade bagel for the road(so good that it doesn’t need to be even toasted to be enjoyed), and we also got a bacon and cheese croissant, and a ham and cheese croissant, and both of those were also excellent. Everything here is worth driving far out of your way to get — and it is basically right off 84. If I am ever anywhere near here at breakfast time again, I will make it a point to return.

Yum is my new favorite word about Pendleton. This gem is a small coffee shop with some delicious choices. I have been there several tines. I decided to review this jewel so that others can enjoy this place as well. I can’t think of anything I can’t recommend. Enjoy and yes, they roast the beans right on premises.

Awesome place, nice décor and space. Okay service… I can’t really think of much else to say because I was so distracted by the staff. Very Oregon hipster, us/them. No eye contact, no conversation or ease, just ‘we’re back here working and having fun, and maybe we’ll glare your way sometime, if you’re lucky.‘ The bluberry scone/muffin thing was just fine, not great, bland. The breakfast sandwich was good quality and cheap. The bacon was ace, wish I could get a plate of that!
