Juanita’s Tortilla Factory

Not real sure what the business model is, but would you please sell your product in more stores than just Winco (Redding, CA).
It’s the best tortilla chip ever. Everyone says so. But it’s only available at the most cracked out place in town, please get your product in Safeway or Raleys. Or a gas station? Or perhaps a roadside stand?

These are the best tortilla chips I have ever had in my entire life. It seriously makes me wonder why every other tortilla chip company is wasting their time making tortilla chips. We have reached the pinnacle of tortilla chips, what a great time to be alive.

Hmmmm… I been told by two people these chips are the best. Decided to give em a try.
Ughh…no. While they are not nasty… I find the texture to be errrr… kinda passsstttyyyy. Yeah. Pasty an an… Thick. In tha’ words of Will Smith’s ‘J’ on MB 3—

First off, these were my favorite tortilla chips. They’re affordable and yummy even without some sort of dip. From reading a review that was ‘not recommended’, they had the same issue as I did! I was munching down the chips then all of a sudden I bit down on something hard that tasted like tar. I looked down and saw pieces of black and dark orange bits of chips. I thought maybe it was just a bad batch, but it happened to my friends before also. I’ve contacted the company twice and even sent along the photos. They apologized but told me they’d get in contact with me after a week. week went by, no message. Which caused me to message them again a few days ago, still nothing.
At least give me an explanation to what these off colored pieces are. What if they were a health hazard? What if it was feces? What if it cracked a tooth or made me sick? Okay maybe I’m thinking too far with the possibilities. But seriously what the hell is this? The black pieces tastes hard and rubbery like tar. The dark orange tastes sour and it was also hard as well. I am adding pictures to show.
I would’ve gave zero stars, but because I loved these chips so much I will give 2.

When we lived in SoCal, we used to buy homemade tortilla chips at the little Mexican market down the street from our house. They were thick and greasy and came in a plain-​wrap plastic bag as big as a pillowcase. They made the BEST nachos. Mass-​produced, big-​corporate, national brand tortilla chips SUCK (i.e. Tostitos, Doritos, any kind of tos).
Juanita’s chips are the closest approximation of those store chips that we’ve been able to find in Portland proper. They are crispy, salty and respectively greasy. They hold up to even the meanest salsa. Plus, they are less expensive than most of those national brand, crappy tortilla chips.
Juanita’s chips are great.
