We arrived at 8pm on a Friday night, cold and hungry from being at a track meet since 3pm. The lone employee greeted us warmly and explained a few things on the menu. They were out of the Pasties for the week but we could try the sausage rolls which were similar. We ordered the fish and chips and two plates of sausage rolls. At the last minute we added a cup of the beer cheese soup and some Parmesan toast. And I’m so glad we did! That soup was incredible. The three of us dipped our cheese bread triangles in the soup and enjoyed every morsel. Definitely the best beer cheese soup I’ve had. If I had stopped there this review would be 5 stars as my fish and chips were just«ok». It was good but I’ve had better. My mom and daughter had the sausage rolls. They loved them and I also thought they were exceptional. The vibe is casual and friendly. Would I return? For sure. I live in Portland and will return with my husband. I’m looking forward to eating on the stone deck and enjoying the atmosphere and lovely food.

This is the place to go for a casual evening with friends. Booths in the corner or outside seating, this place will satisfy your social needs. The drinks are great and the fish and chips are delicious. Hit up their happy hour for great deals! Sometimes they have locals playing bagpipes. It is very entertaining and would be fun for kids.

Joe just needs to live next door to Marleys. Then life would be good. The sausage rolls are the best and always good soup

The atmosphere was pleasant, felt like you may be in a small English pub. The music didn’t really play into that, but it wasn’t bad. Food and drinks were good. The woman working the counter was very pleasant and attentive. As many others stated, we were the only ones there. Not sure on the actual occupancy limit, but I’d assume no more than 20. So if you want a cool, cozy place to eat and have some imported drinks, this would be the place. You could even play checkers or back gammon, presumably, since the boards are printed on at least one of the tables!

Fantastic pasties, worth going there alone for that. Had some British and irish beers in bottles/cans and two beers on tap. Pilsner and Scottish ipa when I was there. Fish and chips were good but I’ve had better(living by the sea in ireland for 26 years might have helped) I’d prefer thick cut chip’s but the thin cut ones were still nice. Will diffenetly go back for pasties and murphys irish stout. Décor is like a sterotypical British bar, little touristy but nice.

I love marleys corner! My roommate and I are regulars at their Wednesday night quiz night! And their food is tge bomb, plus all the unique touches around the pub, chess and checker boards wood burned into the tables, a boom that they pass around gir local artists to fry in and admire each others annonomous work, all of their menus are handwritten in chalk. This place is a must stop!

Very small seating area but great staff and beer selection for imports. The food is decent but nothing to exciting.

Marley’s Corner isn’t in the center of town. It’s more of a neighborhood eatery. British Pub food with a limited menu is the order of the day and an excellent UK beer stock. This is a very small place that produces big flavor. My family stopped here on the way to Mt. Hood. I had the fish and chips, my son the Marley’s Pasties and my wife the soup of the day Vichyssoise(cold potato soup). All were excellent, my fish and chips were some of the best I’ve had, my picky eater son loved the Beef Pasty, the Vichyssoise was a great surprise, who knew! Service was very friendly, service very good though we were the only ones there. It was a great food find in a very cool town. Highly recommended!

Came in from out of town and tried this place. My husband and I loved it! It is a small place but super cute and fun. The service was excellent. My husband ordered fish n chips and I ordered the daily soup(homemade soup everyday with a side of homemade bread for only $ 4… yes please!). Food was good, drinks were good. On top of everything, we played chess at our table while we waited/ate food. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and I would totally go back if I was in town again.

They recently added fish and chips which are wonderful. Good soups and cookies. The pasties are really good, as is the plowman’s platter. Haven’t had anything that was not very good(but the menu is not huge). For a small place, they still have a good drink menu with a couple things on tap. Only a few indoor and outdoor tables and a few spots at the bar, so the place is small, but comfortable and clean. They have a takeout window so you can actually get healthy, fresh food takeout. This is definitely a good, friendly spot.

What a great experience and something different for Hood River. This place is quiet, cute and quaint, the food is excellent and the owner/operator is fantastic. There was such warm and welcoming feeling throughout and of coarse the pasties were fantastic! Great job and wish nothing but success for Marley’s!

What a find! I have lived in the Hood River area for many years. This new pub is a fantastic place. We tried the vegetarian, beef and chicken pasty and they were better than the ones I had in the UK! I think this place would be great for lunch. But we had a fun evening sitting outside enjoying great beer, food and the friendly staff. Service was fast, the place is beyond clean. This is a place I will go back often and invite friends. The patio was cool on a very warm evening. I hope they include outdoor gas heaters for the winter!
