My husband and I always try a new restaurant on our way thru to home. This place was off the beaten path but well worth the beautiful drive. My husband had the California Club and I had the hummus plate. Both were very good. The service was very good as well. It was a beautiful Saturday afternoon so we chose to sit out on the deck. It was perfect with a view of Mt Hood and the golf course, and my husband found a new golf course he wants to try. Will most defiantly be back!

First of all my family and I have spent many times at the Ravens nest. We come at least 2 times a week and enjoy it so much. The pricing is so good for what you get. I think the the waitresses are very nice! And give you exactly what you need. The male waitress is so great and on busy nights he takes of the whole restaurant! The view is great and way way way! Less crowded than divots. Divots had good food the prices are just a bit high. For a gold course out in the hills of hood river I think the Ravens nest is the best restaurant if your enjoying a hike or golf and stop in. It’s so worth it. Also if something is wrong with your order the staff is very understandable.

Went to check this place out. Had a ok selection of beer, a full bar. It was quite when we were there but it was a wet weekday evening. Good portions of food for a reasonable price. Service was good and we had a table looking over a section of the golf course. It’s a little out of town but worth a shot.

The patio with a «view» is looking at Mt. hood over the cars in the parking lot. The food is cafeteria at best and therefore overpriced. The waitress was nice enough to discount our bill for the delays, but it still didn’t redeem the experience.

These guys got a new manager/chef this spring and the food is phenomenal! Nice patio seating, good meat and vegetarian options. Best old fashioned in town!

What a wonderful surprise! After wine tasting at Phelps Creek tasting room next door, we opted for an early dinner at Raven’s Nest. The staff were warm and friendly, we had a beautiful view of the golf course from our table by the window; But above all that, the food was excellent! I had the special that evening, the steak Oscar, while my husband had the spinach salad with salmon, preceded by a bowl of clams. This restaurant has only been open since April. I highly recommend it for locals and tourists alike!

My family goes out for a family dinner about every other week. We decided to try something different and went to the Raven’s nest. There was a live band playing, while the music was good, it may have been better suited for a different venue. We sat for a very long time before our order was taken. There were about 4 young girls going around to the about 7 full tables refilling waters but only one waitress(the water glass filling was almost to the point of being annoying). Several people ordered the steak and salmon, one sausage pasta, a sandwich and 2 dinners just with salmon. The steak was small and over cooked and the salmon was poor quality and way over cooked(it was white and had a very strong fishy flavor… not good). The brussel sprouts, which I had heard about in other reviews and was interested to try, were way undercooked and very oddly seasoned. The sandwich and pasta dish seemed to be enjoyed by there orderers. After some time the manager or owner came out and noticed several of us had not eaten our food and asked what was wrong, we expressed nicely our feelings about the food and he apologized and ended up taking the salmon dinners off our bill. Which was much appreciated. So I would say if you are going to eat here go for a sandwich. Simple is better.

This restaurant is fairly new, so maybe they are working out the kinks. First of all when walking into the restaurant, there is an unpleasant smell that greats you. It smells like stale cabin that hasn’t been aired out in several seasons. There is a pool table and a full bar, so maybe if you have a couple of stiff drinks, you won’t notice. Second of all our server offended us while probably trying to be witty. Go ahead, make jokes, but not at our expense. So with a bad smell in our nose and an icy first impression, drinks were a necessity. Too bad our waitress forgot to ask us what brand of alcohol we wanted. Strike three. I will say the food was good. I had a havarti and turkey sandwich. However, the lettuce didn’t look fresh and neither did the lime in my drink. So they could use some work on that if they want to last in this area full of amazing fresh produce. Go to Divots if you want a nice golf course restaurant.
