The staff is nice, the hotel is clean and the view from the balcony is gorgeous. We will definitely be back. It is an older place that has not been updated but they do a great job at keeping it clean.

Nice hotel with good beds and all common amenities. The motel is outside of city center and popular with old motorcyclists it seems. It is quiet and well kept. Certainly a reasonable choice for families too. The inside pool is not large but, like the rest of this place, well maintained.

This place neglected to tell me that I was booked for a smoking room. If you are allergic to cigarettes and want to feel like you are sleeping in an ash tray, this is the place for you. And they won’t change your room to one where you can actually breathe.

The staff was very polite, the room was extremely clean and the staff was also understanding to what my situation was. I’m very grateful for them without there help I would of been stranded.

Giving this place 5 stars not because it is anything fancy but because it was cheap, clean and the staff was super nice. Wanted a place in Hood River to stay the night and cellebrate the new year! We got into town and checked in. Shortly after we got a knock on the door. They had a bottle of sparkling cider, 2 disposable champagne glasses and cupcakes for us! Totally unexpected and much appreciated! Room was as expected for the price and zero flea bites! Didn’t see mold growing either. A huge plus that you can bring the dogs along! We would definitely stay at the Riverview Lodge if rolling through Hood River in the future.

Clean, cheap room. Very friendly staff! I forgot my cell phone charger, the gal at the front desk loaned me hers! I highly recommend this hotel.

In a word, deplorable pretty much sums it up. To break it down, I had to come to Hood River for a funeral. There were no vacancies any where else so we had no other choice. I can see why this place had one room left. To break it down: mold in the bathroom, a dead roach by the Coke machine and the worst — I got tagged by fleas. On the bright side, it wasn’t bed bugs. My brother and sister-in-law are PA’s and I had them look at it and they confirmed it. So, I was fortunate enough that we all didn’t have to take a turpentine bath. Lucky me. Avoid this place at all costs.

This was my first time ever renting a hotel room by myself, so I was a bit anxious about the negative reviews here and on other websites. I am pleased to report that nothing bad happened. I didn’t stay long enough to use the TV or combination microwave/fridge, and I didn’t bring a computer to test the Internet, but the bathroom appliances worked fine. Nothing was dirty. Without being asked, they gave me the rate for the season quoted on their website as beginning 9⁄16 on Saturday 9/14, so that was a nice bonus. One thing a little strange was that the light switches for the bathroom are on the wall outside the bathroom, not in the bathroom. I can see how children would use that to play pranks, though that wasn’t an issue for me. Another weird thing was that the bathroom had the option of red light that seemed to also be heated. There was also a normal light fixture in the bathroom, though.

An adequate experience and decent value, a few issues with appliances and bath fixtures notwithstanding. My second-floor room was clean and sunny, the location very convenient. WiFi worked. Unfancy, but no reasons to avoid.

I suggest asking to check & «smell» the room before you pay. If you’re just looking for a «bed» & reasonably priced place to stay in Hood River then I guess this place works…“reasonably priced” in the Off Season that is, paid $ 64/night in April. First smell entering the room will tell you their«non smoking rooms» were obviously smoking rooms at one time. Open windows & run heat/ac & it isn’t too bad for«a place to sleep». Had to comb pillow cases & sheets for«hairs»…which SURPRISE… I FOUND quite a few! Too tired to go find another motel, so I just picked them off with tissue & wore sweats to bed… AAAAHHHHH! Bathroom sink backed up running water full on, it just drained really slow…& it took a while to get hot water so start your shower a few minutes before getting in. Shower is some makeshift handicap setup in Rm 10, all it does is get the bathroom floor all wet! Hot tub is a JOKE… luke warm water & barely has any working jets,…the water basically just barely swirls around… glad I checked it before wasting time suiting up. Room had a nice micro/fridge set up that looked fairly new. I would not even consider touching the in-room coffee maker! 19″ TV with good channels, including ESPN/ESPN2 for sports fans like me. WIFI worked great, however it is an unsecured network so be careful. This motel is NOT American owned… however the front desk lady was nice. I would only stay here again if nothing else was available. Coffee shop to go to is «Ground», on Oak st ., had great coffee, nice service, &FREE refills, so you can just tip the workers instead which is the way it should be for refills. If traveling near Biggs Junction east of The Dalles… I recommend the Hillview Motel… American Owned & much much nicer & cleaner!

A bargain at half the price. Ok little pool for the kids, convenient location. Otherwise — ragtag motel with shredded towels, lumpy bathroom floors, ugly all around. Wish it could have been better, or cheaper, but no.

This is a mom and pop lodge. Nothing fancy here, but very clean, and the room I had was wonderful it had a kitchen and dining room/office as well as a living room and a separate bedroom with a closing door! Perfect for an extended stay!
