I just wanted to take a moment and show my appreciation and gratitude to the staff at the David Bridals in Hoover. I could not have asked for a kinder more patient bridal consultant Canei was amazing and because of her I found the dress of my dreams. After taking care of payment of my dress I asked to speak to the manager because I wanted to tell her what and asset Canei is. The manger was working with another bride and we were pressed for time so I decided to just call the store the next morning the manger notices us leaving and ran out the door behind us to find out what we needed. The store closed at 7:00 and we didn’t leave until 7:30 and not once did the staff show any signs of being bother by the fact that we were in the store after hours. As a matter of fact as we were leaving we apologized to the gentlemen that letting us out and he replied with a huge smile on his face no problem we are glad we could be a part of your big day. When customer service is no longer of importance in many retail establishments David’s bridal rejuvenate my belief in customer service. Thank you so much Canei and the amazing staff!!!

I drove from out of town to come to this location. I had an 11:00 and 12:30 appointments. Myself and two bridesmaids were running behind from leaving so I called this location so I could let them know that we wouldn’t be getting there until 11:30. Long story short, we get there and my bridesmaids are immediately being attended even though my appointment was supposed to be first. I was told I had missed my appointment so I would have to reschedule. I’m thinking I’m the bride, you really want to not attend to me even though I’m the one spending the most money?! Rescheduled for that same day at 5:30 pm which meant we had to find something to do until 5:30. When we got back I wasn’t asked what type of silhouette I liked. I had to literally go get my own dress. Ridiculous! I would never come back here and spend any money at this location. It was awful!!!

I have a long history with this David’s Bridal location and it has definitely changed for the better over the years. I had low expectations when I went for a bridesmaid dress search for my best friend’s wedding, and to my surprise it was a delightful experience! I can’t remember the name of the woman who assisted us but she was a sweetheart. The main reason I am leaving this review is because after I ordered my dress and without thinking let it be shipped to this location(I live 3 hours away). I called the store and didn’t realize the woman who answered the phone was the store manager(where else can you call and get the manager on phone by accident?!). I explained my predicament and Jakea(sp?) said no problem, call back when I get the email that my dress has arrived at her store and she would take care of it for me. Over two weeks later she remembered me and fulfilled her promise! I now don’t even have to go to my local store because she is shipping it to my house. Awesome customer service!

After reading the reviews I was really iffy about going to this place, but the hours I work its the only Bridal store open when I get off. I made an appointment and when I got there Kim Reeves was my stylist. I picked some dresses and after trying some on and talking to me she pulled one she thought I would like. And turns out that was the one I fell in love with! Kim was awesome, she even helped me pick all the accessories. She told me honest opinions, she gave me discounts I didn’t even know I could get. I could not have been more pleased with my visit. If you’re going to a place where you need hands on help, make an appointment. Makes things a lot easier.

Carolyn Jackson talked bad about my bridal party when I got there. She didn’t realize they were with me and we had a bride and bridesmaid appointment. Then she put us down for the wrong bridesmaid dress and three months before the wedding we had to reorder. Also, she put discontinued sleeves on me that I could not order. I had the worse experience here. The girls were mean all except for the two managers that helped me. I was warned but didn’t listen. None of my friends will ever use David’s Bridal especially this one! It caused a lot of undue stress on me while planning my wedding and most people there did not care. Horrible store and people!

Awful experience. I paid $ 140 for a dress and $ 115 for alterations. Alterations are WAY over priced. Each time we go we schedule an appointment for our bridal party. You think scheduling an apt you would have a person spend the allotted time with you, NO. They are constantly running around choosing to answer phones instead of help customers. And when they do come around they are so behind they are helping people from hours earlier. They basically throw the dress at you and your on your own. If you have to ask any questions they are extremely rude and unhelpful. They have misplaced everything. They lost a slip in our party and blamed the bride for picking it up when there was NO signature of it being picked up which is mandatory to leave with it, but still they blamed us. They have gotten me confused with the bride on multiple occasions. Every time we go they are unable to find our dresses. Several people came in while we were there with the same issue. We were told to lace the dress up wrong and when asked for assistance no one would help. After getting my dress steamed it now has scorch marks. We’ve also been sent multiple incorrect emails of our apt times and days, and even peoples apt that aren’t in our party! Obviously the store is very poorly run. Very dissatisfied. Extremely bad attitude by staff. Will NEVER return here.

Lots of BEAUTIFUL dresses. Not enough staff to handle all of the walk in customers, appointments, and phone calls. Staff seemed very stressed out and unorganized. I went to order a bridesmaid dress which would not be in until after the wedding. My friend, the bride, was not informed of this information when she picked out her dresses. Unacceptable! Though the stylist and manager were kind in their efforts to help resolve the problem as best they could, I will absolutely not be going there when I am a bride.

I was a little nervous about coming to this location because of some of the reviews, but I was very pleased! I called to make an appointment and the lady was very nice over the phone. I arrived thirty minutes, filled out a quick information sheet about my wedding, and was immediately set up with my stylist, Kim Reeves. She asked what I wanted and pulled several dresses. She was very helpful. She helped me in and out of the dresses, put belts on and veils without me asking. She was honest about how a dress looked and led me into a different direction that I at first wasn’t sure about, but happy she found my dress! She made my experience joyful and easy. If you go, ask for Kim and if you go on a Saturday just keep in mind that it will be a busy day!
