I have been here before and never really had an issue until yesterday. Having a drink with a friend of mine and the bartender took our first rounds of drinks with no problem. There was another bartender that was about to come on to relieve the current bartender. The new bartender sat at the bar on her computer then I look like it was time for her to start working. So she begins to get ready for work at the bar. And when I say get ready at the bar she pulls out brush, mirror and curling iron at the bar and starts to do her hair on the same cutting board that limes were cut for the drink I was currently drinking. Me and my friend immediately closed out and didn’t finish our drinks and walked out. My friend ask the original bartender was it common for people to do there hair at the bar and she just laughed and walked away. I am pretty sure I won’t be back to wine’d down nor will I recommend it to my friends and family.

The first time I went here, I found the bartenders polite, the atmosphere great(very laid back), and the drinks pretty good. Over the past 3 – 4 months, I have gone back periodically to find that the bartending staff has gone downhill, the clientele pretentious, and the drinks weak/small. It seems there is just one girl behind the bar these days and she is very annoyed at having to work here(and more than once I have heard people comment on her attitude). If you order a mixed drink, expect to only get half to three quarters of what you would expect Listening to the latest patrons at the bar, I find it hard to understand why they think they should have such a pretentious attitude(the meatheads wearing Ed Hardy are coming in more frequently, it seems). I think the coup de grace for this establishment will be the fact that on Firdays and Saturdays the bartenders close down prior to 11:45 p.m. I don’t know if there is a law against them staying open past Midnight, but if not, what type of financial endeavor that bases its revenue on night time service would conduct business in this manner?

This place is okay. The live music they have is great, and the owners are nice. The wine selection is good and different from most places in town. It’s fun to sit on the couches and relax with friends. However, the bartender is a total asshole every time I’m there and the high uncorking fee they charge for a bottle of wine you just bought THERE is ridiculous. The NASCAR or college football that often seem to be playing detract from the laid back vibe.
