I felt $ 45/night was expensive for«full hookups» which didn’t include tv or septic. There’s also no store on the premises. What I thought was one was labeled as the«shop» on the map but was actually a wood shop! The play set is really great, especially because we had it to ourselves. There were only two other campers there when we were over Father’s Day weekend. I was told the Sam Owen campground is better and much cheaper($ 12 a night!) but doesn’t include electric. But it also gets all the deer too and has sandy beaches. I’ll be going there next time I think. This one is clean and well kept, nice showers and laundry area(bring your own soap, they don’t sell any). The firewood is inexpensive vs getting it at a gas station($ 9 per 7 logs). The campground offers a huge wagon full for $ 10. The staff was friendly and helpful. The beach and docks were nice and clean, and pretty. We didn’t try the restaurant but I’ve been before and would have gone if our stay was longer. The water had a funky smell to it so we didn’t use it for cooking or drinking.

I would give this place 5 stars if it had sewer or at least a dump station. The lack of this facility is the biggest problem. Do you want to stay at a campground next a lake? Check Do you want to stay at a campground that is quiet and surrounded by nature? Check Do you want to stay at a campground that has deer roaming around through it? Check Do you want to meet friendly people while camping? Check Do you feel like Steak dinner, a glass of Red Wine and beautiful views over a lake? Check Beyond Hope Resort is not the nicest resort in the world, but it sure has everything one could really need. We arrived Sunday night and found the campground was only 50% full during. Our back-in spot was quite spacious, the hookups were close, and it was level. The spot had lush green grass that our two girls spent the next three days rolling around in, playing in, and enjoying. The bathrooms and laundry room were clean and functional. They won’t win any awards, but you won’t go home with a new infection either. The beach is the place where you should plan on spending a lot of time at, we spent 3 – 5 hours per day throwing rocks, swimming, relaxing along the beach. Will we come back? Yes. Would we recommend it? Yes. Informational: We travel in a 36′ Class A RV.
