So sad that this place closed down. Best Middle Eastern food I’ve ever had. Everything was always fresh and tasted great. I hope that one day they’ll open up again. They were so friendly too. Such awesome people with awesome food!

Came here unsure of whether or not I was going to like it, but I’m glad I did. It’s consistently good, and it’s the kind of food that tastes like someone’s mom made it — because someone’s mom IS making it. I’ve never had something I didn’t like. Definitely get some kanafa go for the kepsaa

By far the best restaurant in Hopewell Junction let me say Dutchess County. Try everything and make sure you have Turkish coffee. The owners — Mother and Daughter are very welcoming. I want to say stay away so that the locals can eat without a wait but I think shouting about how wonderful the food is — is the only thing I can do. This is a must visit for authentic Middle Eastern food. It is a vegetarian’s dream as well.

I stumbled upon this place by accident. I was driving on the north on the Taconic Parkway and was starving. I tried Unilocal in a few places, but it kept coming up with Pizza joints. After a lot of searching this option present itself. I wasn’t expecting much, but boy did this spot deliver. The food is delicious and staff is very friendly. If I find myself on this drive again, I will certainly make a planned stop here. It’s well worth it!

Unilocal steereed us right again! Small family run place with great food. Falafels were great, fresh baked pita, wicked good hummus. lots of gluten free options and well marked on the menu. Organic spinach pie was delicious. Only 8 or 9 tables so call ahead to see what wait times are. We just ordered a fresh baked kanafa. Do it!

This restaurant is tucked in a business center in the middle of nowhere. I have to say I was quite impressed when I walked in one morning for breakfast. It is owned and operated by mother and daughter, and the way they decorated tell you a lot about what place it is. I ordered one coffee and some of their baked goods. I wasn’t too crazy about their Moroccan style coffee, while thoroughly enjoying the baked goods«forgot their names of what I had. longtime ago». I have since returned here for lunch to try other foods. First time was for lunch, and I ordered the kebob combination platter, and wow it was delicious. The meats were well seasoned and perfectly cooked, but the dish very overpriced at $ 27.00 and the portion was small. Ouch! Second time I went back i tried the lamb shawarma, and again, it was delicious. If you want to try some unique middle eastern cuisine, I’d recommend coming to Aladdin Café. They cook delicious foods with lots of flavor, but be prepared to overpay.

Great spot. 1) I liked the fact they got Egyptian and Saudi dishes, which are hard to find. 2) So I got the Egyptian Koshari and Saudi Kabsa. Both were fantastic. 3) Ambiance is nice.

Good, but several dollars overpriced. And charging for hot sauce on the side? Really?

Astonishingly rich oasis hidden in a strip mall… Don’t let the plastic newness fool you, this place is a gem. Plenty of selection for all the picky eaters: organic spinach, hormone free meats, lots of vegan options, and even gluten free desserts. First I had a «Turkishino» a teeny coffee with steamed milk, floating with aromatic spices and flavors. Traditionally this is serves without milk as a Turkish coffee, but I «loves» the dairy! Next a gigantic falaffel done the way I like with pickles and hummus, plus a side of olives. At first I thought it a little pricey at $ 9 but it’s easily the size of two falaffel at most places. I sat in the way back with cushions and screens.

My wife and I are here for lunch, and this café cannot disappoint! The homemade food is absolutely delicious, the tea and other drinks are fresh and satisfying, and the atmosphere is perfect. And if you come and leave without trying the Kanafa, you are doing your palate a great disservice; it is absolutely one of the most outstanding desserts ever created. As for all of the 1 and 2 star reviews, please don’t listen to them. It seems like they come from people who are new to dining or come from places with undrinkable tap water. They seem to not grasp the concept of paying for a pre-purchased packaged product, such as water. That, and I guess they have never visited the healthy section of a grocery store — you definitely pay a little extra for healthier, unprocessed ingredients. But quite honestly, I felt the prices were perfectly reasonable for the quality of food. The proportions were very generous and the food was tasty and filling. And the staff are wonderful people — so friendly and polite. They make you feel so welcome and at-home. Keep in mind that there are some people in this world that just cannot enjoy anything. If you go to Aladdin Café, I guarantee you will not leave disappointed!

Deserves to be in a better location– the food is right on delicious and fresh. The hummus and fresh bread is perfect. The sandwiches/entrees are packed w flavor and the salads are chopped making it a great app. The signature mint lemonade is extremely refreshing and the deserts are a must– any of them. Even when busy all was wonderful. Even great for groups.

What a pleasant surprise. It would be very easy to miss this place if you’re driving down Rt 52. It’s tucked inside of a plaza so if it wasn’t for Unilocal I would have never known they were there. The décor is very nice — from the lamps to the water jug on your table you get the sense that they tried to make this an overall experience for their customer. In NYC this place wouldn’t stand out as anything special but for Dutchess County it’s high«culture». It also helps that the woman running the show is VERY personable and genuinely wants you to enjoy your time there. As for food we had the hummus as the appetizer. It was very good. Creamy with a slight taste of lemon. For the meal we had the felafel which was also very good. They serve is almost like a burrito with a side dipping sauce that I’ve never had with a felafel. I would have loved to have given them 5 stars but I thought the place was a bit pricey for what you’re getting. At the end of the day a felafel falls under the category of fast food to me. Charging $ 8 for one seems like a bit much to me. It wouldn’t kill them to throw on a little hummus on the plate and make it feel like a meal — IMO.

I can’t believe I have not been to this place before. The pita bread with hummus was outstanding with the bread coming out hot and the hummus home made. We ordered the beef schwarma and the chicken schwarma. Both were amazing. The woman who waited on us was the owner. She was very friendly and shared a few cooking tips. The décor is better than what you might expect for a strip mall and so is the food

We’re regulars here now, the food is amazing and the service is superb. Tina remembers our order & we’re served without having to say anything but pleasantries. Tonight’s falafel sandwich was the best ever! We love this place. We’ll be back next week unless our baby comes first!

Sitting in the lounge catching up on The Blacklist on Netflix & enjoying excellent homemade food with the wife. Life is good and Aladdin Café is a great place to enjoy well made food in a relaxing atmosphere. It’s unusual to find such a great example of middle eastern dining in this area so be sure to make the effort & stop by!

I have wanted to try this place for a while so I went for lunch today with my husband as I heard they had many vegetarian choices; my husband is not a vegetarian and there were plenty of meat selections also. Everything was excellent! I got the hummus and the falafel salad. My husband got the beef shawarma. He had the kanafeh for dessert, which looked really amazing! Nicely decorated inside as well. Hidden gem in Hopewell. We will definitely go back!

«The pita… it’s homemade, right?» I ask the waitress. «EVERYTHING is homemade!!», she replies. And it’s great, too. Gorgeous pita. Crisp, fresh, tasty falafel. Creamy hummus. Flavorful, tender kofta. Everything I’ve had, well, it was just really good. If you’re jonesing for some middle Eastern, just go here already. Got it?
