Just ate dinner here last night. We had some of the best homemade soups. I had the spinach & egg & my husband had the chicken noodle. Loaded with homemade goodness. We ordered a large pizza with toppings & a chicken parm wedge. The pizza was awesome, cooked just right & they were generous with the toppings. The chicken parm wedge was also full of chicken. We had a generous glass of wine each with dinner, & a cannoli to share for dessert. Excellent. We will be back to try more dishes in the future.

Used to be the best. Gave the new owners a try and just finished my cold pizza that was no where near the quality of the old. They also forgot some of our order but we didn’t realize it until we got home and opened the bag.

This was a great place to eat, but under new ownership now and the quality had become terrible. Ordered an eggplant sandwich and received an oil soaked sandwich where the eggplant had been sliced so thin and cooked so long that the eggplant appeared to be potato chip like. If they want to keep their clientele they better step up their game.

We enjoyed our first visit to La Toretta. We met the new owner, who was very friendly and enthusiastic. The wait staff was also welcoming. We only sampled the pizza, salad and soup all of which were very good and met our high standards for Italian cuisine We plan to return soon and try other choices. All of the dishes looked appealing. The restaurant is located in the Acme grocery store plaza.

The new owners here are doing a wonderful job! The quality, taste, presentation, and atmosphere are a welcomed improvement! A huge improvement is the freshness of food! Made to order not prepared and reheated! Keep up the good work guys!

Came here last night for my boyfriend’s mom’s birthday and everything was absolutely amazing! When we first walked in, we were welcomed with open arms by the owners and they were just so wonderful. All of the food was delicious, it made me feel like I was in Italy again, eating in the trattoria. The night ended with one of the creamiest cannoli’s I have ever eaten, and they are my favorite:) We will most certainly be back, and I will be bringing my mother and aunt who love Italy, and I will certainly be having the Zuppa de pesce!(If I spelled that right). Thank you for your wonderful service!

Love this restaurant!!! Owner & staff are extremely friendly & fun. Go here for lunch sometimes, sometimes dinner. A couple of tables outside, too. Generous portions & the LaTorretta Special is my favorite. Try it, you’ll like it!!!

We wanted delicious food… And we GOT it!!! I didn’t realize how big the portions are, needless to say I over ordered! But that was okay with me, the leftovers were even better the next day! Highly recommended!

Of all the pizza joints in Hopewell this is my favorite. I typically do pick up and their salad pizza is one oft favorite things. Their large subs are huge, their pizza slices are huge, and the staff is nice and friendly. I’ve had their eggplant and chicken parm and always walked away happy. Their sauce is rich and flavorful.

Romana pizza is authentically similar to pizza in Naples, according to my family members who’ve had pizza there.
But they have no idea what arugula is! They put raw mixed salad on top of our pizza, saying their salad bag said it was arugula, so sadly their salad distributor is lying to them: it was probably Oak Leaf or similar salad greens. If you run a pizzaria in NY you should visit any of the top pizzarias in NYC to see what arugula pizza is, and why it is so popular!
So my tip: get their Romana pizza to go, then buy arugula from A&P next door, then warm up the pizza in a frying pan, then put on fresh arugula. Great!

Calamari is very tasty and marinara with it is generous with lots to tomato and garlic. Eggplant parm sandwich was very good.
DIRECTIONS on Unilocal were wrong and sent us north on 82. This place is in the A&P Plaza behind the post office.

Delivery on a Friday night was terrible; half of the order wasn’t delivered and seemed like it was mistakenly given to someone else because when we finally got it there was a new ticket and it was unbelievably hot. My chicken Caesar salad looked like a garden salad with someone’s leftover chicken thrown on it. No one at dinner was really impressed. Probably won’t be ordering there again.
