This place has the best Challah I have ever tasted. If you need Challah for Shabbat dinner or just for making French Toast this place has the best in town. You must call ahead and order otherwise they might run out. Check this place out!

I actually thought this place was out of business other times I’ve driven by. I noticed it was open yesterday, so I stopped in. The selection was a bit sparse, but that was too be expected since it was after 5pm on a Friday. They had advertisements on the door and inside for the Challuh bread, but we didn’t try that. I chose a loaf of banana nut bread, which was a bit pricier than I thought it would be($ 8), and it was just okay. The quality was not the same as I’ve had at other bakeries, for that price. I may stop in again and try their other normal breads.

This is the kind of classic bakery that is identified only by bright yellow lettering that says«BAKERY.» In fact, I thought that was the name of this place for awhile. On this visit, I elected to sample a fantastically flaky raspberry-pastry twist that evoked the essence of one of those breakfast strudel bites without going that far. More dangerously, I discovered that they bake incredible cupcakes and had the«Mostess,» which is a play on Hostess cupcakes. Except for the fact that it was SOMUCHBETTER. I love that this place is affordable and delicious, but more importantly, I love how darned close it is to me. If you want a loaf of Challah, be sure to order it in advance. And more importantly, its only cash or check here folks.
