Great local bar, good beer selection. Prefer the bar to upstairs dining room. Great burgers.

5th times a charm… we’ve been disappointed on prior visits but this meal was very good! I had the blackened salmon(nice portion) over an interesting hash and baby veg. My wife had the falafel plate(very good) with house made tzaiki… nice presentation. The wine slection is not super broad but good attention from our server, Angus. One characteristic that we’ve noticed is the staff have alot of backroom discussions in front of customers and the owner was around but not engaging. Glad for the improvements. We’ll be back.

Stopped in for a great meal today(we live in Concord, but very few of our restaurants are open on Sunday!) Staff was super friendly and accommodating of our 6 month old baby. Good local beer selection, great food. We got the poutine, a turkey club, and a burger, all were excellent.

I wanted this to be better. The renovation they gave the building is quite nice but is incomplete. There were old wooden crates spread around in our dining room, I guess it was supposed to be some sort of a design? The food was good but let’s just say they don’t supersize much for the price.

This was our second time here. The food is done well and consistently good. A good local beer selection and knowledgeable staff. Our fist time the service was slow, however the second time they were prompted. However we did notice other guests who had been forgotten about. A good choice for lunch or dinner.

We gave Sunday brunch a try and were very disappointed. It took 20 minutes to get coffee & my wife’s had grounds floating in it. 40 minutes to get a simple egg/bread/bacon order & they mixed up the bread & we didn’t get the bacon. We complained & they comped us one of the orders. This place has great ambiance but the dining experience was too painful to tetry.

Easy access to the interstate, plenty of parking. friendly attentive server, roomy dining room, pub downstairs and deck out back. Menu had a nice assortment of salads, sandwiches and entrees. We ordered a Cobb salad, which came with an avocado dressing and a tuna melt on sourdough bread with a side salad; they were very good, though my husband thought the salad was just a little small for a main. I think we’ll be back as this seems like a great spot to meet people for a meal or when traveling back and forth from Maine to Vermont.

I live locally and was very excited that this new restaurant opened up because we love to support local business. Ate there for the second time yesterday(wasn’t super impressed the first time, but decided to give it a second shot) for lunch. We sat outside on the patio(which looks great!) and the server came right out with water for everyone. The chef also visited our table with a special gluten free menu, which was appreciated. After we ordered, however, the food took way longer than would be expected, especially since there were only a few other customers. Three of the meals arrived at once(though we hadn’t yet been given silverware), and then it was a good 3 – 4 minutes for the other two. My build-your-own burger was overcooked, did not have all of the toppings I ordered, and was missing a basic lettuce and tomato garnish(though they did throw on a red onion). There was a small, less-than-desirable amount of fries on the side. While I am supportive of smaller portion sizes, this seemed more like a lack of effort, and too little for the price. I am always impressed when I look at the website and see then menu, yet my expectations have not yet been met. On the plus side, waitstaff are friendly.

#5 Tavern has excellent food, variety of menu but service needs to be tweaked. More waitress staff needed as lunch shouldn’t take 45 min. when ordering a salad. Couldn’t get waitress to return to our table, to check if everything was ok! Frustrating! Bartender can’t make frozen margaritas … Unheard of… don’t they have a blender?

Gorgeous, cozy and EVERYTHING is awesome. Pretzels with homemade honey mustard to start! Right on the water!

Went here for lunch. The wait once we ordered was tremendously long for just a sandwich. I had the special Rachel(which is typically my favorite sandwich) and the bread was not toasted, it was burnt. Expensive for what you get. Very disappointed. Cute décor, but that’s about it.

Disappointing! Serving size for pricey entrée(without salad or vegetable) was too small — especially with only mini pretzels and mustard dip to tide me over during the long wait for food. Getting the attention of our inexperienced server was a hassle, and it wasn’t even that busy! I’ll stick with the Everyday Café and the Covered Bridge restaurant, sorry number 5.

A little disappointed with tonight’s visit. Ordered a house salad with dinner — paid $ 5 — it was served in a soup crock; I had to ask for a salad plate so I could cut it without spilling on the table. It was a VERY small salad for $ 5 and it was drenched in vinegarette(I ordered ranch). The vegetable lasagna was okay, swimming in a sauce made of butter & cream(a very thin Alfredo). It didn’t need the sauce and there was so much ricotta, I couldn’t really identify the veggies, except for the mushrooms. It tasted fine; just not what I expected. My spouse’s dinner tasted fine as well, but within an hour, he was complaining he was hungry.

Had a late dinner with my family a few weeks ago and it was great! Walking in the vibe was good, a little loud but understandably on a Saturday night. Everything was clean and the décor was nice. We ordered the poutine which was good but not the best I’ve ever had. Can’s say the same for the mussels which were AMAZING!!! Best mussels I’ve ever had(and I’ve had a lot of muscles) and it was great with the fries, but they could have been cooked a little bit longer. We were literally drinking the white wine garlic butter sauce! For entrees we got the fish and chips which were great! The batter was light and the fish was cooked perfectly(not greasy at all). We also had a Beech Hill Farm rib eye which was really really good. The steak was a perfect medium rare and it had tons of flavor! Overall really good food and atmosphere. Can’t wait to go again! Yum!

Our second time having lunch at the Number 5 Tavern, and both times were great! The dining room could not have been more lovely, bright and cozy on this beautiful spring afternoon. Great choice of beers, nice to see local brews featured, and our server was top-notch. The soup of the day was Smoked Salmon/Red Bliss Potato, and it was to die for. Our burgers were perfectly cooked and delicious, as were the handcut fries. We have also tried the Calamari appetizer and several of the salads, all really good. Highly recommend!

I was really looking forward to the Number 5 Tavern opening, so I was disappointed by our experience on Friday night. The fries with our $ 10 burgers were undercooked, the portions on a $ 20 shrimp dish were skimpy, the $ 10 mixed drinks came in a a dixie-sized cup. I wished the menu had a side salad option with burgers instead of fries, coleslaw or potato salad. The service was really slow because the place was packed and there was just one waitress in the downstairs bar area. Since the restaurant has been opened just two weeks, I am hoping things improve. I will check it out again in a couple of months.

This restaurant was great, especially for only being open for a week! I had been eagerly awaiting the opening since I saw their sign go up with an additional«coming soon» sign below it. It was well worth the wait! The interior was really nice looking and the dining room was really well set up. The hostess and wait staff was nice and they ended up getting pretty busy while we were there. I had a build-your-own burger with blue cheese, bacon, and jalapeño peppers. The burger was really well seasoned and cooked. My only suggestion would be to heat the bun up as well, and the blue cheese wasn’t really melted on the burger, so some additional heat there would be appreciated. The hand cut fries were yummy, but could have been a little crispier. Overall a really great experience and seeing the food brought out to other customers really makes me want to come back and try more.
