This place has been here for a couple years and I have been coming here for a couple of years as well – the menu used to mainly be pizza but they have really branched out to other items like pasta and burgers. The grass fed burger I had was DELICIOUS. Our server was outstanding as per usual. And listen Campovida, I don’t know what you put in the Polenta Fries but please keep on doin what you’re doin!
This truly is as good as it gets. I’ve only ever ordered salad, pizza and beer here, but it is by far the best pizza I’ve ever had. It’s a go to place for out of town guests and each person that I’ve introduced to Campovida has loved it. I’ve been there about 30 times and I can’t wait to go back again. If I had to give one criticism, it would be that they could use a little work on their customer service and speed. You might find yourself feeling forgotten or waiting for a while… but it’s worth it. Bottom line… I love this place.

Oh my goodness whoever thought A drive to Hopland, could sweep you away into wine country and old world charm! The piazza is a treasure you might miss if you don’t look left as you drive through Hopland! You can dine in the tavern or on the terrace out by the water fountain and the fire pit with amazing views of the eastern hills! Their staff is so friendly and their chefs are no joke the food is fantastic!

We have stopped here a few times and always great service. Today, our meal was late. Found out our ticket was«thrown away». At 45 minutes, our waiter acknowledged the error. He stated our next round of wine was on him. He never delivered it. When the manager finally delivered the pizza after an hour of waiting, he asked if we wanted another round. We informed him of the waiter’s promise. The round came, but the bill only discounted one glass, not the entire round as promised. There were 2 of us. Therefore, the tip appropriately reflected the service.

My gf and I have been here twice and both times service has been terrible and under staffed. I am a waiter myself so I know how busy it can get at times but both times we were ignored when we got there and stood awkwardly by the door to b seated. Until I went up to the bar and asked if we seat ourselves. So finally we sat down and it took 20 minutes for us to get a waitresses attention. The night pretty much went on like this… took us 2 hours to get outta here and all we had was a 2 course meal and one round of drinks. I would’ve had more but I didn’t have anymore patience. I really wanted to like this place but the only thing I actually inked were the meatballs. Which I had to send back the first time around because they were cold. Then when I got them back they were without sauce. If I want pizza I will make my way to geyservilles Diavola any day.

While driving down on the 101 entering Hopland, I noticed the hotel/building and also the word pizza. With a hungry stomach, of course I turned around to see it. Since it was a warm, sunny day I took advantage of the outdoor seating with the patio seating. The menu is very simple which makes it easy to pick and choose. There were quite a few things I wanted to try. Polenta fries — I had never heard of this before but I was really intrigued. These polenta fries come out almost looking like Jenga blocks. They’re thick and fried to perfection. The outside is a crisp golden brown and the inside has the creamy, soft polenta. It’s so different from your typical French fry. Definitely dip this in the marinara sauce for full flavor. Arugula salad with avocado added(extra charge) — I love arugula more than any other leafy green. This delightful salad was light but full of flavor. I loved the toasted nuts that come with the salad, as well as the oil vinaigrette. The avocados really added to the salad so I recommend adding them. Pasta bolognese — I thought the pasta was pretty mediocre. The pasta was cooked well and the sauce tasted fine. I don’t think I was impressed because it tasted pretty standard. There are a lot of beef chunks in the sauce so if you’re a meat lover, this will be great news to you. It comes with two pieces of toasted bread that I recommend eating right away or they will get soggy from sitting in the sauce. Water comes in mason jars(so cute!). Service here was excellent. The waitress constantly was checking up on the table and was extremely kind during the ordering process. Great place to stop and grab a bite to eat if you’re on the 101 and traveling through!

Great burger. The best I have had in a long time. Make sure you get the grass feed burger with an egg and applewood bacon.

My husband and I come here as much as we possibly can. We come for the pizza. The pizzas are hands down the best in Mendocino county. Pesto pizza and prosciutto pizza are our favorites. Great local wine and beer selection. They have a full menu beyond pizzas, but we rarely bother with it. It’s all about the pizza. Pizza pizza pizza! Oh and the staff is so insanely super! Did I mention the pizza?!?

I love the set up at this spot. Very well done. They have beautiful bar. The food is to die for. Absolutely delicious. They have a great menu with pairings of ingredients that I’ve never tried before. For example, I order the pepperoni pizza with peperoncinis on it and avocado!!! Yes avocado! Who would’ve thought that avocado on pizza could be so good? Best choice I made. Their pizza dough is good and thin and crispy. I love thin crust pizza. The service is great too. They are very attentive and nice. They also have a great selection of salads and they look amazing! I’ll definitely be back for seconds.

Only someone who doesn’t know Italian restaurants would think this place is special. Salad had no sardines even though it’s listed as such. Can’t comment on the pizza, didn’t try it. The exterior though, begs Italian décor, but walk inside and you’re disappointed, metal meets fake craftsman or mission style tables. More of a bar than anything else probably a popular local meeting place.

I bunch of us stopped for lunch mid way through our motorcycle ride. I ordered an pale ale on draft and a shrimp salad. The shrimp salad was very tasty with fresh ingredients. Service was a bit slow as I don’t think they were expecting a bunch of motorcyclists on a Sunday afternoon. Would definitely recommend Piazza de Campovida!

Pizza was delicious, good beer and wine selection, beautiful décor. The service needs to get their act together, but maybe I just had a bad experience. Regardless, when the food actually got to us, we really enjoyed it.

I just had the greatest cup of coffee at this place that I’ve had in my life. The gentleman with the excellent mustache has mastered the art of the perfect latte. If you’re passing through this town, I suggest stopping here. I plan to take this route next year, specifically so I can stop and have the mustachioed gentleman create me another masterpiece.

OKAY! So I have an incredibly large list of things to say about this place. First, the service is impeccable. The girls on the floor are the biggest sweet hearts and the manager(Andrew) cares so much about this restaurant it’s unbelievable. Me coming from New York City can tell when a restaurant loves what they do. SECOND, The food. Is unreal. I’m not kidding you. I’ve tried almost everything on this menu. The spicy potato fries coat your throat with heaven. The meatballs have so much flavor they send a love potion down your throat. Don’t even get me started on the pork chops. The crispy exterior gives the perfect bite to your teeth and the meat melts in your mouth. PLUS, all of this can be washed down with delicious local wine. I know good wine when I see it(hence why I work at a wine bar in NYC). I am not kidding you when I say this is one of the most fabulous restaurants I’ve ever been. P. S. There’s also an INN attached to the building so if you get to drunk you have a beautiful room to kick back and pass out in ;)

1 star for our meal today at Campovida. The server with the mustache could hardly be bothered with setting the table, taking our orders, or bringing our food out. He never asked us if we wanted drinks, never even gave us a drink menu. Rollie Fingers wannabe hipster mustache, the only thing hipster about this guy was his IDGAF attitude. The woman working there was very polite and on top of it. Kudos to her for being kind, filling water glasses and doing her job well. The food… Was decent. If the service wasn’t so horrible I would probably eat here again, depending on the food item… Polenta fries and green salad were both good. GF pizza crust was very hard, the crust was reminiscent of day old bread crust left in the sun.

Food was decent, but the service ruined it for me. It’s hard to be upscale when only your cook has the skills. The menu was not what was on their website, to my dismay as both the things I’d hoped to order didn’t exist on the actual menu. The pizza took surprisingly long to come out. On the bright side, the food was good — the grilled veggies were not overcooked. But: the plumbing for the bathroom faucets is incorrectly installed, such that hot water backs up into the cold water lines, and the water was so hot my three year old cried that it was burning him. And: After an hour and a half(we certainly had not realized it would be sooooo slow) when my kids ran off down the hall as I was busy signing the bill, the young waiter made a snappy and impolite remark aimed at my children, who had been quite good until then. Whatever he thinks of children, he should at least be polite about it. I guess it’s slim pickings when hiring at a small town in the middle of nowhere. Ending the visit with nastiness from the waiter just ruined it for me.

Our magherita pizza looked like it was made by a day care center they slapped tomato paste a few pieces of cheese and 3 pieces of cooked basil. I asked for an iced mocha and got a luke warm mocha they forgot i wanted it iced. I asked for the manager Not there and apparently just got a new chef. Well they need to get a new one again. Gave us 10% off. This place is the worst food. I believe they are getting business because of location. Skip it go some where else. The girls that work there don’t even care. I am letting everyone i know do not stop there
