As a credit card company, they do exactly what they’re supposed to do — allot you a secure account and regularly report your payment progress to the credit bureaus. I’m always on a mission to improve my score because I need that 800+ for when I decide to buy a house. This is one of 3 cards I use for that express purpose and they’re doing just fine in helping me with my long term plan.
However, their website is about as lousy as it gets. It’s often shut down, slow to load, and just downright hard to understand when trying to manage accounts. Sometimes I’ll try to make schedules via their page, and just give up because of its frustrating clunkiness.
Getting anything done via telephone can be just as bad. The customer service is okay, if a little dim sometimes, but I get a headache whenever I’m trying to work with the robot lady. Worst thing — the system doesn’t recognize phones, so you have to type in your credit card number from the outset. I’m spoiled and I don’t like that, most particularly because I want to remember lots of things and my credit card number isn’t one of them.
A pretty annoying company that I use for my own personal benefit, and they make me pay for the convenience every step of the way. But when I’m leisurely relaxing in the yard of my very own home someday, I’ll be thinking better thoughts about them, I’m sure.
