The food is very good and reasonable. Was there recently and was waited on by Chrissie, she was great. A great place to stop on way to the shore.

Service was good, food was horrible. The corn beef hash tasted like canned salmon, French toast was horrifying. It was made on cinnamon bread and extremely soggy. The syrup are in small little containers with a bare minimum taste. I am not sure how this place has 4.5 stars! Again service was good, not the wait staffs fault their cooks make bad food!

Great people, food, and location. Must have their cheese cake. They need to bring the business to Arlington Texas, some of their help would love to come with them.

Visiting from California, and my family brought us to this gem. The food is great here and you will not leave hungry. Our waitress, Shirley, was awesome. Great attitude and was great with kids.

I came here with my man friend for breakfast yesterday morning and it was very good! There was a little wait for our table, but that’s to be expected on a Sunday morning. Our waitress was lovely and attentive. I ordered chocolate chip pancakes which were very good. They are quite large so three is more than enough. No need to go full stack! I also got a side of Canadian bacon which was some of the best I’ve ever had, not stringy and gross like it can be. My friend had an omelet which he was happy with as well. My favorite thing about breakfast at Red Lion is that they leave a carafe of coffee at your table, so there’s no need to stalk the waitress every time you’re running low. Red Lion was a solid spot for breakfast and I’m sure I’ll be back!

As far as diner food this place is a hit. Always crowded with the 5 o’clock crowd. And they really know a value. Great soups great specials

Red Lion Diner was the only place open late during an ice storm for exhausted volleyball players + mom craving chicken tenders. Our server Shirley is a doll!!! She is so sweet, funny, and helpful! The food was really yummy, lots of options, large portions, and a range of prices. Would recommend the chocolate milkshake, chicken broth with creamy shells, greek gyro, and belgium waffles with fresh strawberries and whipped cream. Yay for diners!

Sorry to be so Blunt but I don’t even understand how it’s possible to not Luv the food here !!! ***As I read all your reviews(PMW) looks like nobody can make you happy. you mention all the unhealthy food here but all your reviews are burger places(Very Healthy). I have eaten at this diner several times. and the food is always consistently good. The portions are big and I have never had a bad meal yet. Also the wait staff is excellent and there is a waitress there named Shirley who is always very nice and never gets my order wrong. Would recommend to a friend. Try the veal marsala its excellent.

Stuck in traffic, we turned-into The Red Lion Diner for a quick dinner.(I may have overheard that the owner recently died?) Could this be the reason the place has gone downhill immensely since our last visit? Staff was friendly. Place was clean-enough(ripped pleather booths, overstuffed sugar catches, etc.) Food was bland and not good. Onion rings were tasteless. Chicken fingers thick and really artificial tasting. Cole slaw bitter and watery. Fountain soda tasted weird. Sauces were scary and so artificial; some came in take-out packages, listed full of artificial ingredients. Even the desserts now taste overly processed and artificial. Threw-out our pie and cake when we got home. Yes, that bad. Looking around, the clientele were elderly, visibly in-firmed, or obese(or a combination of said attributes.) Sorta like a look into the future if we kept eating there. We left vowing never to come-back. I gave two stars instead of one because(besides the nice staff) I realize some people don’t care about health or nutrition. For these people, good luck. We ran right to Whole Foods afterwards to try and balance-out what we had for dinner earlier.

Just left from having breakfast here and this will be my last time coming here. Let’s start with me ordering my food. I pointed to the back of the menu and asked for Creamed Chipped Beef with wheat toast. The waitress brings me out Corn Beef Hash. I asked her what is that and she said what you asked for. I said no look at the back of the menu and tell me what special #3 states. Finally she brings me out the right dish and I was still disappointed. She’s brings me out cool creamed chipped beef on white bread. It wasn’t toasted nor was it wheat. I shut my mouth and tried to swallow the trash she brought me. I couldn’t do it! My husband ordered Corn Beef Hash that sorry to say looked like dog food packed like spam, hard as a rock cold toast with a glob of unmelted butter on it. He couldn’t even eat it. All I can say is eat there if you want but I sure won’t be back.

We’ve been going to this diner for over six years now. On a first name basis with the owners & staff. This is a high volume diner that is mostly good but has been slipping lately. Pros: They offer a good value, especially breakfast & lunch. The portions are huge, you will leave with a dogie bag. Cons: Dinner is hit or miss. They get the basic ones right but fail with others. Example: Chicken Cordon Blue. Instead of the ham & cheese being cooked inside the chicken they slap it on the outside. Seafood with crab meat stuffing is all filler. Forget the veal, it’s like shoe leather. Steaks are not good quality and tough. Again stick with the basics. This is a diner not a gourmet restaurant. Seating: Sit in the main dining room where the temperature is controlled better. The two side rooms are either so hot you’re sweating or cold. Conclusion: Still a favorite but we go less frequently. The Eagle Diner has a full salad & soup bar included with dinner. Will they ever remodel the dirty bathrooms? The Warminster West excels with their sauté dishes but the menu is mostly chicken. They have the cleanest bathrooms. Try all three and you decide. Update 2÷11÷16: Went to the Red Lion for dinner. They increased all of the dinner menu prices. What used to be about $ 30 bucks for two is now $ 40. The food is not all that great and not worth the increased prices. They lost a customer.

Number of stars is based on my experiences with other diner type restaurants, not all restaurants. Friendly staff, high quality food for low prices. Burgers, wraps, fries and soups all tasty. All deserts looked good on the display but I visited for lunch.

Large amounts of food. Quality is so-so. We were starved. Salad had some dead leaves. Chicken gumbo is very good. Crab cakes slightly burned, suppose to be broiled but was pan fried. Ask for tartar sauce she brought cocktail sauce. Server was very nice. She moved it from 2 to 3 stars.

To start off, the waitress was bangin, the food was not. 10⁄10 would bang waitress Liz. Excellent service to make up for the shitty food. Very attentive and polite. The hostess abruptly told us to follow her and rushed us to a table in the middle of a section, and traffic with plenty of booths to spare so we asked to be moved. My daughter ordered the deluxe cheeseburger that came with fries and a tiny tub of coleslaw. Too much bun, not enough patty. She said it all tasted gross. My fiancé ordered the hickory smoked bbq burger that came with onion rings. The hickory smoked bbq part was a tiny Kraft bbq sauce packet like you get at any fastfood joint. You had to pour it on yourself. My fiancé had such a sad look as he stared and chewed his food slowly, but I think he felt both sad for the people who had to serve this stuff and deal with complaints and his poor taste buds. I ordered the 140z steak smothered in mozzarella, marinara sauce, peppers, and mushrooms. Came with soup, salad, and your choice of 2 sides. I am still trying to figure out if what I ate was a real steak or not. It didn’t taste like beef and the texture was off. There was no marinara, just a small bit of canned tomato and lots of wetness that looked like watered down gravy? The cream of mushroom soup was as thick as lumpy oatmeal with canned mushrooms. The cucumber salad was doused in what tasted like sugar water. The coleslaw tasted of the same stuff. None of us finished our food trying to figure out what the hell just happened with our dinners. We still had hope! Dessert! Daughter and fiancé ordered chocolate mousse cheesecake, which they both took a few bites of and gave up hope and I had the baklava, which seemed to be made of frozen pastry puff and that walnut stuff in syrup you pour over ice cream. I can’t even… I’m giving this place 2 stars solely because of the service. Will not return. Would not recommend to anyone who values their taste buds and quality over quantity.

I wouldn’t recommend. Our waitress was horrible. Completely unaware & a mousy personality to go with. The root beer was being refilled so she took our cups and left us without drinks for the meal. We asked another waitress and she explained it «still» had not been refilled. The burger was overcooked & small on a huge bun. We asked about pies & cakes but that threw the waitress into a tailspin. Another waitress offered us a cake to take at discount cause two slices were missing. No!

Very friendly and sweet staff! The menu and huge, and the food was delicious! I loved my bacon, egg and cheese. Overall very cheap, even for diner standards. Which is good because I didn’t plan on spending more then $ 20 on two people! Definitely recommend and will be back

Went here for a late lunch on Sunday afternoon, the service was friendly and the food was good. Having a real appreciation for diners, I was hoping this was a good one — it is. We asked our server«what’s good here» and she was right — the pancakes are outa sight, the burgers(what I had) are made from meat they grind and mix! The portions are BIG, which is nice to see. I will go back again when I’m over this way. Only thing that could have made it better is if our server was a little more attentive, we waited around a little bit. But overall a pleasant experience, certtainly no complaints about the food!

I’ve been to better. The omlettes were just eggs barely beaten together, not fluffy, not big, just eggs with little of what you choose to be included. The homefries were dry, crumbly, with not much more than a boring boiled potato flavor that probably barely skated across the griddle. The bagels were a toasted version of grocery store bought globs of white bread in a circular ring to make it look like something you visualized when you ordered, only to disappoint. The coffee was very good, the service too. This location is what this place has going for it. Other than that, breakfast certainly was not anything more than ordinary.

Big menu, and great prices. The food was fairly good. Typical of what you’d expect from a nice roadside diner. The interior of this place is rather plain and in my opinion, kind of depressing. It does remind one of a white washed hospital cafeteria complete with plastic plants. The service I had was, ok. Prompt and satisfactory.
