Great place for eat-​in or take-​out lunch! The chicken salad is excellent, Pimiento cheese great, tuna salad, hot dogs and deli sandwiches all good. In season the Brunswick Stew is excellent. Good selection of sandwiches — if you can’t find something you like here, you’re way too picky. Strictly a locals’ eatery — they know good food at a great price!
Only thing I’ve had there that I didn’t like was the coleslaw — great on a slaw dog but a little too much mayo to eat as a side.

Chicken salad is the best! The BLT is great too. You can combine for what they call a cheesy chicken BLT. The prices are great! A family of 5 can get meals plus ice cream for less than $ 50. Not many places are like that anymore. A family owns and operates it. It can get a little crowded at lunch time. But a busy place means people like the food! I would definitely recommend stopping here if you’re in area! Oh and it’s not on the menu, but ask for a peanut butter strawberry milkshake. It’ll be the best shake you ever have.

I’ve past this place several times on the way to my parent’s house in Hoschton, and I’ve always been curious. My mom told me that she had a couple of friends who frequented the place for their chicken salad. So, the mister and I decided to try it out. The décor consists of lots of owls… hence the name, and I love it. It’s small, but it wasn’t crowded at all. We ate inside and it was very inexpensive. The chicken salad was great. I will be back.
