The best Chinese I have had anywhere near Hot Springs and pretty close to Chinatown NYC good. The service was the first thing that really stood out with our waitress greeting my wife and I with a warm welcome. Our order was taken quickly, our food arrived even quicker, the drinks were never empty, and they graciously thanked us for visiting them. If there was one thing better than the service, it might have been the delicious food. I had general tso chicken, crab ran goons, and fried rice. My wife had sesame chicken, fried rice, and egg rolls, while we both shared some fried dumplings. The portions were enormous and the food was hot and fresh. We will be going back very soon and the Asian market next door was an added bonus. Everything we ordered was right around $ 32 before tip.

I love their chicken, they all come in chicken white meat. So yummy, so nice and healthy. I will go there again.

Today we ate lunch there. I’ve ordered from this restaurant many times, so I can criticize their food now… Their portions have always been large, both dining inside and delivery. They definitely have the best Chinese food in Hot Springs — trust me. If you order delivery, stray from sweet and sour chicken/shrimp unless you don’t mind it being a little soggy due to the heat being trapped inside the container for so long — this is common no matter the restaurant. If you order delivery they charge a fee for using a credit card, plus delivery fee, and the fact that they’re taking your order via phone. Ordering from the lunch menu is best to do if possible. You get more food for your money.

My family stopped by for dinner here as we were in the mood for Asian food. We ordered the following items: 1. Ma Pao tofu 2. Stir-fried mixed vegetables 3. Beef Lomein 4. Hot and Sour soup 5. Wonton soup I thought the food was good and not too heavy as we ate a massive plate of barbecue meats the night before. Our server was friendly and provided us good service.

We ordered and had delivered. Food was pretty good. Fried rice wasn’t impressive. Driver was polite and on time. Very good soup.

Best Chinese food in Hot Springs!! Spectacular for taste, food portions & price. The egg rolls are delicious! I’ve had several different items on the menu and never been disappointed. We’ve always had wonderful service.

I’ve lived in the Pacific Northwest & outside of NYC, where both places are known to have great Chinese food. This place holds up… and it’s in Arkansas of all places!

I should have known better than to experiment. I ordered some sort of chicken & vegetable dish that was to go over pan fried noodles, or so I thought. What I got was chicken & veggies over some sort of fried something. The something was so dry, I added it to my egg drop soup to soften them up! Guess what… not so soft. Egg rolls were good, but the rest of it was just OK. Too expensive for what I got.

Had lunch here yesterday. As usual, the food was wonderful. We had the Hunan chicken with steamed rice and hot & sour soup. The soup was especially good! The atmosphere was quiet and relaxing, and the waiter was attentive. Worth your while!

Four stars because they have the best Chinese in Hot Springs. Their delivery is fast, within 30 minutes the last four times I ordered. Their food is always hot when it arrives too. I mean it actually needs time to cool off. The only downside is they charge you extra if you place an order via phone, they charge extra if you order with a credit card, and of course their is a delivery fee charge too on top of the tip for the driver. That said, plan on paying a lot more if you order delivery. Their menu prices aren’t current either, so ask ahead about prices first.

Average Chinese fare at a decent price. Clean dining room. Be prepared though to be at the mercy of a rather unprofessional rude hostess that pays more attention to her phone than to you. Low standard in customer service, I’ll take hard earned dollar somewhere else.

Our visit this evening to Hunan Palace was fine but nothing special. My wife and I ordered the«casual family dinner» for two with steamed rice, beef and broccoli, almond chicken and an order of crab rangoon. The crab rangoon was hot, crispy and fresh but there didn’t seem to be much crab inside. The almond chicken and beef and broccoli were served up hot and they were tasty but very, very much like a hundred other Chinese joints we’ve be to. Nothing to set it apart. One member of our party ordered the shrimp and walnut special and didn’t care for it at all. Our service was fine but, again, nothing special. Next time we fine ourselves craving Chinese in Hot Springs, I think we’ll check out some of the other options.

We had dinner at Hunan Palace at 8:00 p.m. on a Thursday evening. The crowd was sparse, which added to the pleasant, quiet ambiance. Except for a couple of service snafus, our experience was excellent! We began by ordering our drinks: a Diet Dr. Pepper and a Tsingtao beer, which I specified should be served with a warm glass. Minutes later, when the drinks arrived, the ice cold beer was served with a well-chilled beer mug – something no discriminating beer drinker would want. We then ordered the mu shu pork and the orange peel beef, accompanied by hot and sour soup, egg drop soup, and fried rice. The hot and sour soup was particularly excellent – rich, flavorful, and full-bodied, with an outstanding dark caramel color. The egg drop soup also was good, but much more pedestrian. When the entrees arrived, we were disappointed to discover them flanked by steamed rice rather than the fried rice we ordered, which was the second service boo-boo. All was forgiven, though, with the first taste of our main courses. The mu shu pork was reminiscent of some fine California bay area Chinese cuisine of our past. And the orange peel beef was cooked perfectly! The co-mingled hot and sweet flavor exploded delicately from the slightly crispy beef, lightly covered with a rich dark sauce. And to be fair, the steamed rice complemented this amazing dish much better than the fried rice ever could have. All in all, we recommend Hunan Palace highly. It is, without a doubt, Hot Springs’ finest Chinese cuisine. Now if they would add sizzling rice soup to the menu, we could enhance our next visit measurably!

I am surprised about the other two reviews. My experience at Hunan Palace is that the food is consistently delicious and ample. The service is also very good and prompt and décor and atmosphere are nice and relaxing. If you enjoy cooking Asian food, there is an Asian grocery right next door with a FULL line Asian foods at very low prices. check it out.

AVERAGE This place is not called«Hunan’s Palace.» It is: Hunan Palace. We stopped in here on our first night in Hot Springs. The place was busy on a Saturday night. At all the other tables the diners were eating with forks. Hmm…, not a good sign. The all male waitstaff took care of business, but were certainly nothing special. We had the Lemon Chicken(C3) and the Deluxe Lo Mein(F5). Both came with soup. Everything was okay, but not great. Food — 3STARS Service — 2 ½ STARS Ambiance/Décor — 4STARS Location — 4STARS
