Golden Leaves Book Store

When I first moved to the neighborhood I made it a point to visit this bookstore. Being that bookstores are all about to become extinct, this one caught my eye. I go here at least once a week and always buy something, whether it be books, incense, jewelry, puzzles, bumper stickers, etc. It is owned by a little old lady and her son, and they recently have been putting up signs for up to 40 percent off of the already-​cheap merchandise. The old lady is going to retire and this is the reason things are so cheap. Not only do they offer awesome books and other eccentric merchandise, but on certain days of the week there are reflexologists, palm-​readers, etc there. I recommend anyone who is into this kind of thing to head over and browse around. You may find something that would tickle your fancy!

Located right in the heart of old Hot Springs, this bookstore brings to mind some of the whacky (but cool) new age bookstores I am familiar with back at home in San Francisco.
The bookstore, fairly large, but easily browseable, has a gamut of new age merchandise like crystals, shamanistic trinkets, and books. I do not think I’ve seen such a wide variety of books on astrology in a long time.
This place is definitely worth a visit; you may find an old gem of a book or great gift for that spiritual person in your life.
