I visit my parents in Hot Springs Village fairly often and had been mostly disappointed with the dining options. Hallelujah! Can you say handmade-to-order corn tortillas for the tacos? Say yes! I just discovered this place last weekend and it is now my goto spot. Monday there was some menudo leftover from the weekend and it was delicious. They also made a batch of tacos with the daily special(chili verde) for me. Tuesday it was a batch of carnitas tacos. All legit and as good as anything I get in the SF bay area. Made-to-order corn tortillas! Yay!

This is not your typical restaurant, it is a hispanic grocery store with a small café in the back. That said this place has the most amazing, authentic food we have found in many states. On this visit we tried their combination fajitas, a beef burrito, Chirizo tacos and their salsa and guacamole nachos. Everything and I mean everything is made in house and fresh, it is all great. They also make a wonderful horchata. You really must stop in and see Carlos and his crew and give this place a try. We will drive 3 hours to eat here again.

As soon as I walked into this restaurant, I thought I was in the wrong place. Then I looked far beyond the fruit and canned goods and saw some tables. We were offered agua de horchata and agua de guayaba. Both were tasty and refreshing. I really recommend the Fajita Mix…(mar y Tierra). Comes with chicken and beef fajitas. It also contains shrimp. We also ordered tacos de asada and de pastor; both were great. Some of the rice was a bit hard, but nonetheless, I definitely recommend this place.

I’m from Southern California and have had a lot of Mexican food. This might be good if you’ve never had Mexican food, but otherwise it is atrocious. The enchiladas weren’t edible, and the quesadilla was more of a chicken taco. If you know good Mexican, you’ll hate this place.

Excellent authentic Mexican food. We had tacos and a burrito which were delicious. And despite other reviewers, English is both spoken and they have English menus. We will be back next time in Hot Springs.

Food: I had a chorizo taco and beef fajitas. I would give the chorizo taco and 9 out of 10 rating… The beef fajitas I would give a 7.5. Great price for the quality of food you get here. I would get either dish again. Atmosphere: I would give it about a 4. It’s not terrible but it is a hole in the wall in the back of a Mexican grocery store with two televisions showing soccer. This is a place you come for the food and not for the atmosphere. Overall: I like restaurants for the food and I will definitely come here again!

I went to Hot Springs for the weekend and ate here for breakfast. I ordered the torta cubana which has ham, pork, chorizo, and hotdogs. It was a little too salty but still good. My sister raved about the chicken quesadillas, one plate had enough for two people. We liked it so much we came back the next morning for some tacos and pozole. This place is not just a taqueria but also a small mexican store with some of the best mangoes I’ve had in a while. Left the taqueria with full stomachs and junk food for the road.

This is a truly authentic Mexican restaurant. The menu is in Spanish. You have to walk through a Latin store to get to the restaurant. The food is prepared fresh, hot, and abundant. I’ve had better but only at an Authentic restaurant. If you are expecting TexMex this is not your place. If you want good Mexican food though here is your place. I had Sopes with Carne Asada. Very tasty, full of meat, and the lettuce and tomatoes were very fresh. My wife had beef fajitas, piping hot and sizzling. She said they were great and seasoned very differently from your American style Mexican restaurants. They have Horchata and Fruit juices, but we ordered Diet Cokes. They bring bottles from the store. You have to ask for ice if you want it, typical of a more authentic place. I was one of the few«Gringos» eating. I will return.

I went there for breakfast and they did not even speak english. We figured it out and I got some AWESOME Chorizo tacos with fresh salsa and a real Coke. Great food…
