I moved into Ansley Place six months ago when I relocated to Houma. I chose a third floor apartment for more privacy and a better view and I am very happy with my apartment. The apartment is very nice with large closets and a large balcony. I also really enjoy the 24 hour fitness center and the barbecue areas. Several of my co-workers also live here and we like to cook out together.

Ansley Place«Luxury» Apartments. Where to begin. From the beginning we,(living on the bottom floor) had to listen to kids kicking balls against walls and dogs jumping so much that I had pictures fly off the wall and break. One of these photos was the only existing photo of my parents wedding, some 70 years old. Then, come the critters. I had a snake in my apartment, 3 lizards and bugs galore. Silverfish, cockroaches, huge wood roaches, spiders and the list goes on. The neighbors would leave their trash in breezeways, bringing wildlife to our front door. Opossum, raccoons etc. Residents with dogs did not clean up their dogs messes, I had one woman who purposely made her dog go to the bathroom right in front of my patio. Linoleum floors with buckling and cut out pieces. Carpets are cheap and stained. Cheap appliances. Sinks are so shallow, you couldn’t wash anything without water spilling on floor. Being on the bottom floor, you would think ceiling leaks rare. Nope, the had to fix it 3 times. Leaking windows from rain. A maintenance mad admitted they had not been caulked in. Also heavy rains came thru bottom of walls in breezeway, lifting floor and flooding carpets etc. Causing mildew and mold. My rec– commendation? Don’t move there. IT’S HELLONDABAYOU! See photos!

Don’t be fooled by Ansley Place«luxury apartments.» Every month they notify tenants by note on their door that they will be entering your unit to change AC filters and to administer pest-control treatments. I assumed this was being done all-along as notified but I began to suspect this wasn’t actually happening when I found numerous spiders in my apartment. The next month I needed a light-bulb to be replaced, and I duck-taped a note on my front door(which would have been impossible to miss) requesting the bulb be replaced while they were already in my unit. I returned home from work and the note was still on my door and the light bulb had not been replaced. When I inquired to the front office, they had an excuse for not replacing the light bulb and assured me that the maintenance crews were performing the AC and pest-control services as notified. Next month, I decided to prop a notebook up against the vented door to the AC closet and took pictures. Of course when I returned home that evening, the notebook had not been budged at all. For the amount they ask in rent, there are better quality apartments in Houma that are much more luxurious.
