This place deserves 5 stars simply because you have to smoke outside! One of the saddest things about coming to south Louisiana is the toxic smell that permeates my clothes and hair any time I try to go out to a bar or a club. Usually a pretty classy, low key place. Nice bartenders.

A classic renovated courthouse downtown is now the home of Bar Roussell. Using the original materials, this gem has a bar-​top to die for, old tin tiles, stained concrete floors, and décor that could challenge any hip, cool, Manhattan club. The full bar, friendly staff, and intimate seating make this destination worth pulling out the Manolo’s and hoop earrings. Don’t miss the «fleurtini»! I «giant heart» this place!
