Charming Charlie

What is Charming Charlies you ask… only the most sparkling places I’ve visited in a longtime. Charming Charlie’s has just introduced itself to Houma, opening in a strip mall near the Hobby Lobby. The large windows that allow you to look in, reveal a shop filled with every girly girls dreams… sparkly things… shoes and bags and watches, and bangles and earrings, and rings and iphone cases and many more.
As I entered the shop it made me think of an industrial glam space, vaulted open ceilings from which chandeliers hang, groovy music… just throw in a DJ and a few hipsters holding brightly colored cocktails and you’d get the picture.
The truth of it all, is that, it is an accessory store on steroids. These people seem to know what they are doing… a staff member immediately greeted me and pointed out the items for Sale (I thought for a moment that a Macy’s employee was sending me to Gimbals in Miracle on 34^th street)…well gee, that was kinda cool… like reverse psychology I headed straight for the non sale items… Everything is basically grouped by color… so you need something red? It’s all there in one area and all shades of red… and so on and so on… I snapped a few really cool shots so you can see exactly what I am talking about… As I made myself around the store looking and examining the quality (the quality was impressive, I must say), I made my way to the register which is located in the back of the store and this is where my friends… Charlie knows what he’s doing… right next to the check out are the marked down items and lots of them in their color palette areas… it’s brilliant! no way are you waking out without picking up a few more pieces.
I was quite pleased with Charlies over those other types of shops in the mall that seem to pale overall… If you like things that are shiny or sparkly you’ll love Charlie’s…or maybe you would like a yellow bag to match the color of toenail polish, Charlie’s will have it… I dare you to give this new addition to Houma a looksee, I’m sure you’ll be as impressed as I was…
