Very good food. Good seasoning and the fries with herbs, butter, and garlic are nice.

I was there recently and was very turned off from ever going back. From the dining area I could hear kitchen staff arguing with management. When I told someone about it, Owen, he greatly apologized and said that he promised it wouldn’t happen again when my wife and I return. I think upper management should seriously think about firing the ones we could hear yelling at each other. The language used was not appropriate for a family restaurant.

Much better service. Came for the lunch special and although they were packed, they greeted and helped people which was much different from previous visits. Keep up the good work! I’m very impressed in such a short time…

First let me start off by saying the service is very friendly and a very nice environment. Good was ok, oyster points were over fried and the bread was a bit stale. My crab and eggplant stack was excellent Now for the negatives. Our order consisted of 2 oyster poboys, crab and eggplant stack, on orders of fried green tomatoes and an order of boudin balls. My grand daughter had a hamburger and we all had iced tea. $ 86.99. Holy Crap. We paid because we had ordered and everywhere else was over croweded. The oyster poboy was charged at market price. We are in the oyster capital of the world and they charged us $ 19.00 for an over cooked poboy. We are local and I don’t think I pay 19.00 for two dozen oysters here. There were maybe 8 oysters on the sandwich. Folks, there are a ton of restaurants in Houma that have better food for less. At the prices they charge here its worth the wait at another better restaurant. One that actually come to your table, and take your order.

Well…, I’ve eaten here several times. Burgers? Not that great to be honest. Thick catfish is good. Usually pretty moist. I didn’t care for the thin fried catfish. It was dry and over cooked.

New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood company is really good! First of all, they have vegetarian options that taste yummy! My husband and I both got burgers. I got the veggie burger which was SUPER good. With your burger or sandwich comes the choice of fries or salad. They add some sort of garlic butter to the fries which makes them unique and tasty, but probably not to healthy. Their prices are reasonable. We will be back!

The salad to go is pretty good. It has a good flavor to the dressing and the shrimp on top is cooked well. It just could be a little lighter, i.e. a bigger box with more lettuce. But that is probably a personal preference. Yes, it is chain, a bit high, but getting graded accordingly.

Huge fan of the thin fried catfish and the garlic fries. So, I am basing my four stars on that. Comparable to Middendorf’s, however not quite as good and definitely not a eclectic an atmosphere. The set up of the place is quite ridiculous though. They hostesses try to seat you when you walk in the door, everything short of grabbing you by the arm, but you have to order from the register! So they want me to walk in, sit down and decide, then get up in get in line? I don’t think so Tim. Don’t church it up like it’s an actual restaurant… it’s basically fast food with a twist-because there are hybrid janitors/waitresses in there. But… the catfish kind of makes you forget about all that nonsense.

Burgers are bland and tasteless. Every hamburger I’ve tried here tasted bland and lack any sort of flavor. The thin fried catfish tasted nothing but battered cardboard so get the thick fried catfish instead. The service here was very good though. They always been helpful and nice. Only thing I liked here is the NOLA cookie they sell at the register which isn’t even on the menu.

I don’t know why people be hating. The Oyster Heaven Po Boy was quite literally: Oyster Heaven. Oh, and the fries are ridic.

Thin fried catfish was not as tasty as the thick ones … the shrimp ceaser salad was much better…

I worked twelve hours after driving three days, so I wanted to have as much Cajun food as I could while in Louisiana. I just wanted to grab something and take it back to my room so my customer recommended the New Orleans Hamburger and Seafood Company. I came, I saw, I took out. It is a chain restaurant and as such that’s what I got. I got the thin sliced fried catfish. The thin sliced is what the locals recommend. The sides were garlic fries, hush-puppies, and some«New Orleans» style coleslaw. Not great, not bad.
