Todd’s Canteen

I love the canteen and the owner! The food is great and the customers are always friendly. Great place. YOU need a sandwich!!!

My wife and I were out on a motorcycle ride and ended up in Cedar Hill, MO. We pulled up Unilocal and found Todd’s Canteen. It had great reviews so we decided to give it a try. We were NOT disappointed! I had the Marquardt Burger, which is about a ½ lb burger between 2 grilled cheese sandwiches. I had to cut this thing up to eat it. It was THAT big! It was excellent! My wife had the Fallin Way burger, which is a burger with fried shrimp on it. We also had the side orders of onion petals and seasoned wedge fries. We had the sweet chili and chipotle dipping sauces for the fries and onion petals. ALL of our food was fresh and very tasty. Todd has a disclaimer on his menu which warns that it may take 12 – 15 minutes to get your food and that if you want something quick, you may be at the wrong place. Their food was well worth the wait!
The «personal touch» for Todd’s Canteen is that their walls are covered with personalized dollar bills. You write any message you want on a dollar bill and pin it to their wall.
Sam was our waitress and her service and personality was above par considering most restaurants we’ve been to.
So many of the burgers looked good that it was hard to make a choice. My wife and I both agreed that we would have to come back to try out some of the other options on the menu.
If you’re looking for fresh food cooked to order and the best burger in the area, you should definitely make Todd’s Canteen a priority! \

Fantastic food! Todd cares; it’s obvious by the flavor and portions. Not to mention reasonable price. AND it’s non-​smoking, which is hard to come by in the area. Its not fancy so don’t come to impress. If you like good tasting food, cold beer and low prices — stop in!

Close by us and we hear its good. First time for lunch. Today and yes it is ! Glad we found this place.

Have mercy! The chicken souvlaki is to die for! Onion petals are soooo yummy. Don’t miss out on this gem!

I was only here once. It looks like a place you might not want to go in but we were shocked by the food. One of the best burgers in town. Excellent. Has the feel of a little biker bar but very cozy once your inside. Nothing fancy but great food.

Had dinner there this evening — we had a party of 4 adults, ordered the jalapeño poppers as an appetizer (be sure to get the sweet pepper chili sauce to dip them in!), we each had a meal & a total of 6 beers (bottles) between us… total $ 62. It’s a small place, and has patio seating (right off of hwy 30 so it can be a little noisy with traffic). Not a ton of parking, but other than that it was pretty good. 3 of us had burgers and all 3 burgers were cooked to order and were fresh and quite tasty. (the only frozen foods on the menu are the appetizers) the 4^th member of our party ordered the Billy Jack wrap and enjoyed it.
The staff were extremely friendly and offered their advice for food selections… Todd himself (owner, namesake, and chef) came out and greeted us, made sure we were enjoying everything.
On of our favorite things was the drink menu… wine = $ 3 (8 oz glass!) we stuck with beer ($ 2.50 bottles and $ 1.50 -$ 1.75 cans) but will likely try the «house wine» sometime.
It’s definitely a bar-​type atmosphere with very tasty unique bar-​style food… we will be back for sure & I would recommend highly for a laid back, relaxed meal!
