Solid three star. I’ve only patronized this nightclub on Thursday nights. That night is usually the«hip hop» or urban type of crowd. I should check it out on a different nite and see how it compares. Personally, I would only go to this club if I have a section. It’s not a place I would go to bar hop. Section only. The layout is weird. All of the VIP booths are on one side of the club overlooking the people without sections lol. Awww. On Thursday, there is a $ 20 dollar entrance fee. Valet is 20 bucks, too. The drinks are pricey, like 14 each without tip-so again get a section or just get bottle service. It will be cheaper in the long run if you plan on drinking all nite. The ladies’ restroom is very clean, with an attendant that provides mints, candies, mouthwash and even high quality perfumes. So bring in a few dollars to tip her. There are sections and a bar area on the patio.

Nice latino music, but the environment and music selection is not better than Gloria’s. If you want to be in a less crowded salsa club this is your place.

Overpriced admission $ 20 and overpriced weak drinks $ 14 for a Redbull and Vodka. Not worth the money and it’s not even at 25% capacity

I have never been to a club that treated the VIP so wrong. paid $ 280 for a section then the promoter asked us to move to the back… stating that the section was previously sold to another party… well give me my money back and I will leave. he gave me $ 100 back and scratch the drink out my hands while I was drinking… how ruled… never going back…

I will never visit this place again! I went there on a Friday to celebrate my friend’s birthday with three other girls and waited in a ten minute line to get in only to be told«Oh sorry you need to go wait in the other line this is for VIP only.» AREYOUKIDDINGME? You never tell a fine group of ladies that bs, and to top it off we got there in the line by 11:45 and he said the cover was $ 20 each! Then when we finally got up there to pay they said now it’s $ 25. It was 12:01 and«the price goes up after midnight». WoW these people have no class whatsoever. It’s a shame they won’t be seeing me there EVER again. FYI the dudes were all lame, standing around wasting space. If you are a classy women you would not fit in well there. It was trash!

This is my first time here everyone raves about this place but it sucks, the door man gave us a hard time when we came out of our bus with 37 people being from the tri state area this place is not what you would think. Harable time the crowd was getto. BEWARE.

Went on Sunday night. Loved it! No cover, no line. Drinks are around $ 10 and easy to get, sexy gogo dancers, small dance floor, real cops for security, fun people and great mix of hiphop and pop music. Sunday is the only time I’ve been and will be back.

This place sucks! It’s super shady and god forbid you forget your card or ID. Your better off just canceling and getting a new one.

We checked out 5th Amendment for the first time yesterday on a Saturday night. No line, no cover, and the bouncer was friendly and nice. One of our guy friends wore shorts, so dress code is probably not strictly enforced ^^ The place is pretty small, with the bar with go-go dancers on one side, and the DJ and couches on the other side. Apparently Saturday was Asian night, so that might explain the sitting and standing around and lack of fist pumping and grooving– even some head bobbing would be appreciated! :P Unlike what previous reviewers said, we didn’t encounter any super sloppy drunks; some of the guys there were goofy, but they livened up the scene a bit: D Music was upbeat in the beginning, and the closer you got to the speakers near the far wall, the likelihood of you going deaf within the night increased by 2398429384 times. There is a lot of light patterns to stare at as well~ The place was pretty empty until around 12am when people start coming in, but even then, it feels a bit like a high school dance decorated with wallflowers: P … but that just means more room for us, mwahaha!~ My friends and I didn’t care how silly or weird we looked being the only ones spastastically dancing in the many empty patches on the dance floor. One things that bummed me out was half of the music. I don’t know how to dance to rap @_@” There’s only so much a little girl like me can do before I start looking ridiculous attempting gangster and swag moves, and something is definitely wrong when I start resorting to disco and robot moves, haha! Thirty minutes of pure rap is mind-blowingly boring to me. The DJ should spin some more dance-able tunes, but I guess we got some practice jamming to rap, haha~ ^_^b Water is free(yay!), and one of the bartenders was really pretty last night(girl crush!) :3 If you’re lucky, you can find parking on the streets. Otherwise, head towards the private lots where you pay $ 8 to $ 10 a pop before walking a little bit to the club. There’s also valet parking too~ 5th Amendment is fun if you and your friends want space to throw your arms out and jump around when dancing, but if you’re intimidated by an empty club and crave the skin-to-skin and crowded dance floor, then this place is not the best(I can only say for Saturdays though!)~

Maybe I went on a bad night, but this was not my scene. The music was eardrum-ripping loud, clientele was kind of skeezy and sloppy drunk, there was a Patron XO Café promotion going on(that stuff tasted vile). I ordered three shots for my group, the bartender mixed a cheap vodka with a mixer poured from an unmarked bottle, and proceeded to charge us $ 27 for one shaker(that would have filled a martini glass) divided into shot glasses. Lame.

I notice that this place needs an update on reviews. Been to this place once most recently… about 4 weeks ago. –parking is horrible, get there early, valet, or prepare to spend a long time trying to park you’re car in a safe place. At the door, the men can seem intimidating, but I’m a good looking girl, so not much was asked of me(cover was $ 20). I think they have a guest list though, you have to contact promoters. Ok, this place is really really small! It wasn’t a super crowded urban night(Thursday) but it was a full house. There’s a mini dance floor, which is cool. But this place would be bomb if it was just a little bigger. Even so, I love the vibe. The DJ was awesome playing all the latest hip-hop and urban hits. –the bartenders are ok! I guess it depends on who knows who around here. Or opposites attract? Lol the first bartender I went to was a guy and he fixed my drinks really good, however, the girl I went to for 2nd rounds didn’t make my drinks as good and I ordered the same thing. And she was so focused on dancing to the music and greeting non-tipping friends that she took forever to get my order. Probably the only thing I hated about the night. After the club there’s a wing truck outside!!! Omg! If you get club munchies, this is the spot! It gets crowded, but don’t let the line scare you away. These ppl know what time it is and they got those wings ready before the let out, so the line moves fast. Don’t forget to try their special wing sauce. And oh, they accept major credit or debit cards too! Can’t beat that! So overall, combined. This classy experience, on a decent and not too crowded night would be awesome for someone that’s just trying to get out.

Was there this Friday night with my friend. The music is hip hop — dubstep. The dance floor was mostly empty at midnight besides 2 – 3 people trying to show off their dubstep skills. Inside the music is so loud you will feel your chest vibrating. That may be what you like. I could barely communicate with the bartender what I want to drink. I also stepped out on the patio outside. They have about three couches set up outside which would comfortably sit 3 – 4 people. There’s a bar outside, but it was manned, so I’m not sure how often it is. I did not get to dance, the drinks were okay, and I couldn’t even talk to my friends. I will probably not come back :-(

Was there last Sunday with some friends, as it was the only place open in town after midnight asides from Avenue. Maybe we are used to different crowds being from Miami but I don’t know… This wasn’t up my alley. The music was WAYWAYWAYYYY too loud. You could hear the speakers screaming for mercy. Bartender on top floor was really nice and fast at serving good drinks, but the male selection was creepy at best. All these drunk sweaty –and incredibly persistent– guys trying to get you to go to their table. Ummm, not cute. There was definitely a nice percentage of people there on drugs(shout out to the guy walking around with an inflatable ET doll and glow sticks). If you’re bored on a Sunday and just wanna dance. This is your spot. Otherwise, make it a Blockbuster one.

After reading all these reviews bashing bouncers hell-bent on not letting anyone in, I feel like my group and myself have parted the Red Sea. We had no trouble getting in whatsoever. And there were 10 of us. And it was on a Friday. And it was like, midnight. Aside from having no cover fee, 5th Amendment also has its rockin’ ambiance going for it. It struck me as industrial, sleek, posh… I love my clubs dark and seedy, and 5th Amendment’s bar and ceiling lights emit a perfect amount of glowing, colorful light. I spotted a couple poles and a zip-line above the bar(yes, above the bar), but to my dismay, there weren’t any takers. The dancefloor and bar take up the bottom floor, a VIP lounge area takes up the second floor, and there’s an outdoor section complete with another bar and more lounging areas. It sounds like a lot, but it’s really not. The moment you walk in through those massive glass doors, the entire club is pretty much restricted to whatever your eyes take in. The music was a mix of house and some hip-hop. I’m usually turned off by house music, but the DJ spun some admittedly-catchy beats, so you get no complaints from me. I also appreciated the fact that they turn down the music outside on the patio. Sometimes, a girl just wants to break away from the madness, take a breather in a quiet(er) place, and toast a drink with a friend. 5th Amendment grants you the luxury of choosing between a chill patio and a bumpin’ club, and you’re free to waltz in and out of them as you please. Although there was a good amount of people there that night, it still felt a little dead to me. When you’re at places like this, you feed off the energy. If everyone’s having fun, you get into it. Unfortunately, the crowd’s energy was a little low, so I didn’t have as much fun as I wanted. 5th Amendment is a hot place, but I wasn’t totally feelin’ it. Good thing I always give second chances.

We went on Saturday night, as I guess that’s Latin night? So mainly Latin music with a electronic beat flair. Only a few songs were pop, and I think even those were mixed.(And I danced to that LMFAO sexy and I know it song!) As far as the layout, it’s pretty small, as I was expecting more, especially since I had to pay a $ 10 cover(both guys and girls). The party didn’t start happening til 12:30, so if you plan on coming here get your pre-drink somewhere else or go chill out on the patio. I’ll probably go back to Red Door next time, as there’s no cover and that place is always packed. PS. And no go-go dancers as advertised in other reviews. And we couldn’t convince any of the girls in our party to get on the swing, either…

Juicy club in Houston. Place is pretty nice with indoor and outdoor seating. When I went the place wasn’t crowded and the music was pretty good. Nice classy feel to the place but seemed small. Music played was hip hop with some trance. It was free to get in probably since we came pretty late. There was a gogi truck so you can eat after the club.

I’m not going to lie this place is HOT. It’s the new IT place to be. But what comes with being the new kid on the block? The bouncer. Expect to know someone unless you’re a hot girl. If that’s you, no prob. Fun time, IF you can get in.

Dayum. Why is everyone drinking all that Haterade? 5th Element is what the club bunnies of Houston could fist pump to and what the revival of Midtown needs. It’s located in the same strip center as Crave Sushi, and my first thought was that this place was going to be just like all the other strip-center clubs: tiny, thrown together and a total joke. Not so much. 5th Element is HUGE. My gf and I strutted up to the door — no really. We did. They were bumpin’ «our song,» Kanye’s «Love Lockdown.» Once greeted by friends, we waltzed in and then looked at each other with complete surprise. This Vegas-style bar features non-stop go-go girls, a zip-line, a lengthy bar and dance floor, a lounge-y raised level complete with its own bar, an insanely good DJ(on Saturdays, at least. We head bopped the entire night and my friend even taught me how to Dougie.). And the most unique thing I’ve ever seen at a Houston nightclub: A live — and hot — drummer in the middle of the dance floor. Bar service was great. I somehow made nice with bartender Josh, who had the drinks flowing all night — and at a ridiculously small tab. For the most part, my clubbing days are over, but I’d come back to 5th Element for a girls’ night/birthday/or whatever. So long as they maintain the place — keep that music bumpin’(Hey, Mr. DJ. I want one of your CDs.) and the club atmo drama free.
